What is Wrong with Shiaism?

by Kaukab Siddique, PhD

A martyr in Islam is quickly buried and briefly mourned.

The greatest battles in Islam were led by the Prophet, pbuh, at Badr, Uhud, Khaybar, the conquest of Makka, Hunain, Tabuk, etc. The martyrs in these battles have no equal. The heroes and heroines of these battles have no equal in Islamic history

Allah Himself bears witness to the prominence of those who were In this history making struggle led by Muhammad, pbuh. None of them are remembered ritually. Their reward can only be bestowed by Allah almighty.

"The vanguard (of Islam)- the first of those who forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid, and (also) those who follow them in(all) good deeds,- well-pleased is Allah with them, as are they with Him: forthem hath He prepared gardens under which rivers flow, to dwell therein forever: that is the supreme felicity." [The Quran 9: 100]

ShiIsm is focused only on Hussain, who was martyred 61 years after the golden era of Islam.

[He was only a child when the sahaba were sacrificing themselves for Islam. The Shias beat and flagellate themselves every year and have been doing it for more than a 1000 years,]

Then comes the second wave of Islam led by the sahaba, male and female, which toppled the two superpowers of the time. Again there were martyrs and heroes who changed the history of the world. They were buried and mourned briefly but Islam did not permit any ritualistic mourning beyond a few days .

Shiism has latched on to one martyr and has created a whole new religion based on one martyr and in the process demeaned the greatest companions of the Prophet, pbuh.

The Shia leaders hid In the empire of the Abbasids and organized themselves into a new religion.

Shiaism has fabricated many "hadith" to build up Ali, r.a., but still cannot find any role for him in the toppling of the two superpowers .

They claim that Hussain opposed Yazeed because he was behaving like a king. However the entire history of Shiism is hidden in the support they had from many of the Abbasid kings and then they had their own kings, the Safavids.

They support foreign invaders and tried to kill Salahuddin Ayyubi to help the crusaders.

They helped USA to establish a Shia regime in Iraq.

In our own times Iran is giving hundred percent support to the mass murderer of Syria, Bashar Assad.

Imam Khomeini made a big effort to unite Shias and Sunnis but the shia hierarchy of Iran undermined his power after a while.

Some Good News

A 34-year-old Indian mother of two children who travelled to a remote village in Pakistan to marry her Facebook friend after converting to Islam has received some money and a piece of land as gifts for embracing the religion.

Anju — who now goes by the name of Fatima after converting to Islam — on July 25 married her 29-year-old friend Nasrullah, whose home is in the Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. They became friends on Facebook in 2019.

On Saturday, Mohsin Khan Abbasi, the chief executive officer of a real estate company based in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, visited Anju and Nasrullah at their residence.

He presented Anju a cheque, the amount of which was not known, and a land document in the presence of her husband to make her feel at home in Pakistan.

Abbasi said he gifted some cash and a 10 marla (approx 2,722 sq ft) plot to help Anju start her new life after converting to Islam so that she should not face any difficulty.

"Anju travelled all along from India to this part of Pakistan and converted to Islam to start her new matrimonial life. We came here to welcome her to our religion and congratulate her on her marriage," he said.

Anju, who was born in Kailor village in Uttar Pradesh and lived in the Alwar district of Rajasthan, travelled to Pakistan legally from India via the Wagah-Attari border. She was granted a 30-day visa, valid for Upper Dir only. Her visa will expire on August 20.

Anju is married to Arvind, who is in Rajasthan. They have a 15-year-old daughter and a six-year-old son.

Tyrone West was murdered by 16 cops

[Nadrat Siddique]

A memorial service was held for Tyrone West on the 10 year anniversary of his murder by 16 Baltimore cops. The vigil took place at Kitmore & Kelway (near Morgan State University) where the horrific incident occurred.
The case remains unresolved, and none of the officers involved have been charged, tried, demoted, or fired. One, as we heard from a speaker at the rally, has since been promoted. In the face of grave injustice, the family refuses to be silenced. Led by Tyrone's sister, Tawanda Jones, they hold weekly vigils, billed "West Wednesday," at various locations of significance in Baltimore. To learn more, follow Tawanda Jones on Facebook or Twitter.

Hindu mobs assaulted Christian women in Manipur. [Video of rape went viral]

Survivor's family says police were with mob

Kuki-Zo [Christian] families in Manipur say these words and actions [of Modi & Indian court] are too late and accused the authorities - both in the state and at the centre - of indifference towards their plight.

The families of the two survivors told Al Jazeera they filed a complaint over the May 4 incident with the police on May 18. But it took them more than a month to transfer the case to the police station under whose jurisdiction the crime happened.

Even after that, no action was taken, said the residents. They said the authorities acted only after the video went viral on Wednesday.

Speaking to Al Jazeera, the family of the sexual assault survivors said police officers were with a Meitei mob when it attacked their B Phainom village in Kangpokpi district, about 40km (25 miles) from the state capital, Imphal.

"My husband was killed by the mob. We pleaded with the police to rescue us," said the mother of the 21-year-old survivor.

She said the police initially escorted her along with her daughter and 19-year-old son, but on seeing the mob, dropped them back to where the body of her husband lay on the ground.

It was there that her 21-year-old daughter was surrounded by the mob and sexually assaulted. When her brother tried to stop them, he was also killed, said their mother.

The family and other residents of the village eventually managed to escape to the Kuki-Zo-dominated district of Churachandpur, 86km (53 miles) from B Phainom.

"How can the police say they aren't aware of what happened when they were present while we were assaulted? The bodies of my father and brother were taken by them to the government morgue in Imphal," the survivor told Al Jazeera.

Why are US Muslims unable to speak against war?

*ASMA BINT ABU BAKR*~(RA)~{A ROLE MODEL FOR WOMEN}~{BEAUTIFUL}~

From Bilal to Sumayyah, the history of Islam is replete with sacrifices rendered by the companions of the Prophet.
(may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him).

Asma bint Abu Bakr ( R.A.) has a special position among the early Muslims, her sacrifices for Islam are numerous.

Asma ( R.A.) was the daughter of Abu Bakr and sister of Ummul Momineen Ayesha.
(may Allah be pleased with them both).

She was the mother of Caliph Abdullah bin Zubair, her four generations were companions.
She was the 18th person to enter into the fold
of Islam.

Asma ( R.A.) supported Islam from her early age, she played a key role in the migration of the Prophet (peace be upon him).

Asma (R.A.) was entrusted to carry food for Abu Bakr (R.A.) and the Prophet (peace be upon him) who were hiding in Cave 'Thawr'. [ Jabal Thawr (جبل ثور‎) ]

The cave was about three miles away on a mountainous track. She carried food daily
for three days, though she was seven (7)
months pregnant !

The last day when Asma (R.A.) prepared their travel provisions and water skin there was no rope to tie them. She tore her 'Nitaq' (waist belt) into two pieces and tied the bag with one.

The Prophet (peace be upon him) saw it,
he smiled and told her...

"Indeed, Allah has given you, in exchange for this girdle, two (2) belts in Paradise."!

And thus she was named "Dhat -Un- Nitaqain"
(The Lady of Two Belts).

She kept this honorable title for her whole life.

After the two left Thawr cave, Abu Jahl came in searching for them and slapped Asma (R.A.) so hard that blood oozed from her ears.

Bearing the pain with courage and tolerance, she did not disclose the secret.

When the Prophet (peace be upon him)
reached 'Quba' near 'Madinah',
he invited a group that included his daughters and Asma (RA) accompanied them.

When they reached near 'Quba', she gave birth to a boy named Abdullah bin Zubair.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) was very happy, He took the baby in his lap
and gave a bit of date chewed by him in the mouth of the baby.
Abdullah was the first baby born to
Muhajirin in Madinah.

Zubair ibn Al-Awwam, (her husband)
migrated to Madinah empty handed leaving everything in Makkah.

Asma (RA) spent a hard time in the beginning.
The daughter of a rich man found herself tending animals, kneading, grinding and fetching water. She used to carry on her head date-stones from their land at a distance of two miles from Madinah.

The real test of Asma's (RA) tolerance
and patience appeared after the martyrdom of Hussein ibn Ali (May Allah be pleased with him) at 'Karbala' she was then about 90 years of age.

After the tragedy of Karbala, people gathered around her son, Abdullah bin Zubair knowing him as a learned, powerful and brave man,
he succeeded in winning the support of
Makkah and Madinah.

Eventually, Abdullah consolidated his power
in Iraq, Hijaz, southern Arabia,
the greater part of Syria and parts of Egypt.

Asma (RA) advised her son before the fight against the Damascus ruler Abdul Malik bin Marwan saying she will be grieving for him only if he is killed in a vain and for an unjust cause.

"Death with honor is better than a life
of peace with dishonor."

Abdullah went forward to fight against Marwan's commander Hajaj bin Yusuf and kept fighting until he was martyred.

The cruel Hajaj beheaded him and hanged his body on a tree. He declared, "No one should take down his body except Asma, (RA) she must come to me and ask my permission.

Asma (RA) refused to go.
Eventually Hajaj came to her and asked,
"What do you say about this matter ?"

She boldly replied, "Verily, you have destroyed him and you have ruined his life, and with that you have ruined your Hereafter."
she added that she had heard the Holy Prophet
(peace be upon him) saying that...
"A man would appear from the tribe of
Banu Thaqif who would be a liar and a cruel and ignoble barbarian.
Today she has seen him for herself."

Hajaj bin Yusuf left silently.

Later Hajaj dropped the body into the graveyard, she arranged for its bathing, funeral prayer and buried with her own hands her son Abdullah bin Zubair in Makkah.

Asma (RA) died a few days after
burying her son, in 73 AH.

She was 100 years old but never lost her memory and had a full set of teeth.

[Earlier] She took part in the Battle of Yarmuk in 636 AC and fought bravely which drove the Roman Empire out of Syria. She is the narrator of 58 'Hadiths', and many leading men related 'Hadith' from her.

In a corner of Jannatul Muala a small grave marks this great lady .
Asma bint Abu Bakr (RA) was really a
great role model for the Muslim women.

While proceeding to 'Jabal Thawr'
you will find a sign on the road named
'Dhat Nitaqain Street'.
And this is the path which was trodden by this great lady to carry the provisions to
the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him)
to 'Jabal Thawr' (جبل ثور‎)

Please stop for a moment in this place and pray
for these noble souls.
May Almighty Allah grant them the highest ranks in Paradise...

Resistance is the only way

Turkiye's President, Tayyip Erdogan, met Palestinian President, Mahmoud Abbas, together with Ismail Haniyeh, the leader of the Palestinian group, Hamas, in Ankara on Wednesday, Erdogan's office said.

Abbas is paying a visit to Turkiye and had previously met with Erdogan on Tuesday.

Abbas and Haniyeh have been unable to repair a rift since 2007, when Hamas, which opposes peace deals with Israel, seized control of the Gaza Strip. Abbas' Western-backed Palestinian Authority remains dominant in the Israeli-occupied West Bank.

On Tuesday, Abbas agreed with Haniyeh, who currently resides between Qatar and Turkiye, to hold a broad meeting of factions in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, at the end of July, to discuss the conflict with Israel and ways to end internal divisions.

Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank held little hope the meetings could reconcile the ongoing power struggle between Hamas and Abbas' Fatah faction, the backbone of the Palestinian Authority, after many failed attempts in the past 16 years.

In a statement issued by Hamas on Wednesday, the group said its leaders reaffirmed in Tuesday's meeting with Abbas that "resistance was the most efficient way to confront the (Israeli) occupation."

Thousands of Muslims
have fled tp Turkey.
but.....?

Dozens of Uyghurs gathered in front of the Chinese Consulate in İstanbul on Wednesday to protest Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi's visit to Turkey before a meeting between Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan and Yi in Ankara, condemning the ongoing persecution they say their people face in China's Xinjiang region, Voice of America's Turkish edition reported.

Uyghurs chanted slogans such as "Fascist China, stop Uyghur genocide" and "Turkey, protect your brothers."

One of the protestors, Abdülsamed Hoten, told Voice of America that Yi is one of the perpetrators of human rights abuses against Uyghurs and added that his visit to Turkey was disturbing for the community.

In response to Yi's visit, Uyghur organizations in Turkey also issued a joint press statement calling on Turkish authorities to recognize and react to what they described as a "genocide and crime against humanity" perpetrated by China against Uyghurs and other Muslim Turkic peoples in Xinjiang.

According to the Uighur organizations, China has been carrying out large-scale arrests of Uyghurs and other Muslim Turkic peoples since 2017, subjecting them to various forms of abuse including forced labor, sterilization, forced marriages and sexual harassment. They also alleged that China has locked up influential figures in Uyghur society, including thinkers, scientists, teachers, doctors, writers and religious scholars, in what they referred to as Nazi-type concentration camps.

The Uyghur organizations pointed to multiple international testimonies, reports and documents, including a report by the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, that provide credible evidence of these alleged human rights abuses. They expressed disappointment that a motion to investigate China's human rights violations at the UN, which Turkey supported, was rejected, with the majority of Muslim countries siding with China.

The Chinese foreign minister's visit to Turkey was mainly focused on economic cooperation, including the Belt and Road Initiative, a trillion-dollar infrastructure plan to connect economies across Asia, Europe and Africa. The talks also touched on encouraging more Chinese companies to invest in Turkey, importing more Turkish products and supporting businesses from both nations to use local currency for trade settlement.

Turkish Foreign Minister Fidan welcomed the initiative and expressed Turkey's willingness to deepen cooperation with China in multiple fields.

These developments come amid criticisms and concerns raised by various international bodies and countries, including the United States and the European Union, over China's alleged human rights abuses in Xinjiang. Parliaments in several countries have passed non-binding motions describing China's actions as genocide, including Canada, Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Lithuania and France.

China's treatment of the Uyghurs and other Muslim minorities has drawn international condemnation, with human rights groups estimating that some 1 million Uyghurs have been arbitrarily incarcerated in a network of prison camps in Xinjiang.

Beijing denies all allegations of abuse of Uyghurs and describes the camps as vocational training facilities to combat religious extremism.

Turkey has been a destination for thousands of Uyghurs fleeing China and home to a sizable Uyghur diaspora. But a Turkey-China extradition treaty signed in 2017 that is still awaiting ratification by the Turkish parliament led to fears that it could be used to target Uyghurs in Turkey.

The Uyghurs have sought refuge in Turkey because of their shared cultural ties.

Turkey, however, has become less vocal about the plight of the Uyghurs in recent years as it has developed economic ties with China.

Nigeria
This was what Ashura was meant to be by Kabir Oyemomi

Ashura In Yorubaland

Hitherto, Ashura was known in Yorubaland to be a separate festival that is celebrated with joy. It's referred to as "kayokayo" and it's like grand finale to Eid I Adha celebration.

Infact, fasting that is now understood to be the most important feature of Ashura was not observed at all. Everything used to be celebration and with the final haulage of kept arms and legs of the ram from the day of Eid I Kabir.

Today, Alhamdulilah with more understanding of the Deen amongst old and young. In the last khutbah, the Imam strove to distinguish between Tashura and Ashura. He explains that it is better if one fasts in both Ashura and Tashura or fasts only the Ashura. Imam clears it as an error if one observes only Tashura but leaves behind the Ashura.

Imam Abdullah Jabata explains that Ashura used to be compulsory for Muslims as it was subtly prescribed before Siyam Ramadan. It only became a choice after Allah has enjoyed Ramadan fasting on us.

From all indications, Yoruba Muslims are graduating from sheer ignorance of many jurisprudential facts about Islam as the old are now eager to learn from young, as long as the later is known to be more knowledge.

Before, no matter the level of knowledge and understanding, young lads could not make any form of corrections to old ones without being insulted.

ERITREA: ISAIAS TOLD PUTIN TO LEAD THE STRATEGY AGAINST THE WEST

In a Swahilli program translated into Emg;lish the Eritrean leader made these points to Putin:
  1. Western powers are sacrificing Ukraine to create hegemony by sanctioning Russia.

  2. The Europeans brought slavery,

  3. Then Colonialism

  4. Then neo-colonialism.

and now hegemony.

Sanctions are their tools.
Even a poor country like Eritrea is under US sanctions.
