[New Trend notes army chief and ISI chief showed support to Imran just before the confidence vote.

Imran won fake victory with help of MQM.

LOWER DIR: MARCH 6- Though the prime minister secured the vote of confidence from the National Assembly, Mr Khan has largely lost the confidence of the masses, says Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq. addressing party workers here on Saturday, he said the PTI government multiplied the miseries of the people of Pakistan in first half of his government tenure and the prime minister move to get the vote of confidence from the lower house was only a remedial attempt to put salve on the wounds inflicted on the PTI's morale by the upset on the Islamabad Senate seat.

According to the law, he said, the prime minister did not require the practice. The government, he added, should adopt a serious attitude to address the basic problems of the country instead of indulging itself in unnecessary acts. He said the way the government coalition lost Senate election at Islamabad seat but the prime minister won the confidence of the treasury benches itself posed a serious question. He said the prime minister must expose those who according to Mr Khan sold their conscience.

The JI chief condemned the attacks on the leaders of the opposition parties by the PTI workers, saying such acts would cause more damage to already weaken democracy. He advised the PTI and the PDM to at least consider the political morality in their fight which so-far seemed more focused on serving self-interest instead of serving any public cause. He said the country could not move forward without institutional reforms.

But, he regretted, the PTI had not taken a single step for the purpose so far. He said the country was presenting a dismal state of affairs in every sector. The inflation, unemployment, corruption and foreign debts hampered the development of Pakistan. He held both the former and present rulers responsible for the public woes, saying only the Jamaat-e-Islami could bring the country out of crises if voted to power.

BBC has published a detailed analysis of the Syrian dictator's attempts to smear and delegitimize the White Helmets group which was digging through the rubble of towns bombed by the regime to save civilians buried by the bombing. Our observers say, IS did not have the heavy weaponry needed to destroy an entire city. Mosul was bombed by the air forces of the US and several European powers and by Shia and Iranian artillery. More than 40,000 civilians were killed and more than a million made homeless. Pope's claims about Yazidis lack investigation and evidence. More than 9,000 Yazidis left for Europe and Israel by air after the fighting ended as the regime itself announced.

Governor Cuomo's Sex Scandal
by sis. Aisha
Jamaat al-Muslimeen New York

Another powerful male politician is embroiled in a sex scandal but, the details are tame compared to other politicians' sexscapades.
Governor Cuomo is definitely on someone's bullseye but, whether or not this is just political theater only time will tell. However, this is his second scandal in recent weeks. The first scandal dealt with accusations of intentionally underreporting the COVID-19 nursing home deaths to make him look good in the public eye. This second scandal involves three women accusing Governor Cuomo of sexually harassing them.

Although Governor Cuomo has apologized, he has also refused to resign. He claims that his attempts at showing affection were misconstrued, culturally. His being voted governor was unusual because he had a girlfriend, TV cooking personality Sandra Lee of "Semi-Homemade" fame, not a wife. Their relationship ended in 2019, after many years together, having never married each other. Governor Cuomo, a Catholic, rebuffed the New York Archdiocese, who took issue with his cohabitating without the benefit of marriage.

Recently, the Senate and the State Assembly voted, overwhelmingly, to repeal Governor Cuomo's Emergency Pandemic Powers.

One of the accusers, Charlotte Bennett, has stated that although Governor Cuomo championed a 2018 sexual harassment bill, he never took the training that it requires employees to take. He has stated he did take the sexual harassment training.

It has been said that Governor Cuomo has aspirations for being President of the United States. New York Attorney General Letitia James, who has her own aspirations of becoming governor, is investigating this matter. Governor Cuomo said he will cooperate in this investigation.

Racialized Muslim women rally in solidarity after hate-fueled attacks

Poet Aisha Ali says she hopes Saturday's online dialogue puts pressure on government authorities to act to make the city safer and more inclusive for Black Muslim woman. (Submitted by Aisha Ali))

Edmonton writer Aisha Ali shares photos and her location with her siblings whenever she and her five-year-old son leave their home.

"If anything were to happen to me, people know how I was dressed that day and where I was going," Ali told CBC News.

It's one of multiple safety precautions she takes in the wake of six recent hate-motivated attacks on Black and racialized Muslim women in Edmonton. The victims were simply walking in public, waiting for a bus or sitting in their cars.

"I'm always looking over my shoulder, making sure that we're safe in the area, not being outside at nighttime, trying to do everything during the daytime and even then maybe bringing somebody along with us," Ali said.

She is far from alone in her hyper-vigilance as fear ripples through the community and protesters, including people carrying symbolically racist Tiki torches and members of Soldiers of Odin and Urban Infidels, openly march in Edmonton.

This Saturday, Ali and four women from her community are holding an online event called Sisters' Dialogue. The event has already attracted nearly 300 participants coming together in solidarity to denounce the incidents. Speakers will share their own experiences of discrimination, Islamophobia and micro-aggressions that single out and isolate women in the community.

Not enough outrage

Part of the focus will be on highlighting mental health and legal resources for a community that often faces barriers.

Speakers will also discuss policy and legislative changes aimed at creating a safer and more inclusive environment for Black and racialized Muslim women.

"We're not seeing enough conversation out there, enough outrage out there," said co-panelist and criminal defence lawyer Amna Qureshi.

"The people, unfortunately, who are struggling the most — we do feel forced to come out and say, this is an issue that needs to be taken seriously."

Criminal defence lawyer Amna Quresh says the event will inform Muslim women, who often face barriers, how to access legal resources and protect themselves.

The rise in Islamophobic attacks, such as the attack at a Quebec City mosque in 2017, and the policing of what Muslim women wear, also factor into the current climate, Qureshi said.

The conversation will also explore what tools are available to ensure justice is served for anyone who becomes a target such as what information is important for investigating officers to know.

The police hate crimes unit is investigating the attacks. Two arrests have been made. But police have also been accused of not treating the case of one victim with the sensitivity and seriousness it required — an allegation police dispute.

With many hate crimes going unreported and the amount of energy it requires, Ali said proper support from police is essential.

Sisters' Dialogue has its roots in an article written by Wati Rahmat called 'Why Is My Hijab Still A Threat,' published in the Progress Report, after the rise in attacks on local Black Muslim women, Qureshi said.

She says it came with the realization that there's a conversation here that needs to happen, and that Muslim women need to be part of it and speak for themselves.

They hope their dialogue will put pressure on governments to act and encourage allies to step up, Ali said.

Ali first felt the cruelty of having slurs hurled her way and being told she didn't belong here, when she was in Grade 10. She said it was a lesson in keeping her head down.

She didn't realize the power her words held until she saw the lengths some would go to silence her. She can smell their fear. - Poet Aisha Ali

But she recently published her first book, Spilt Milk, refusing to be silent — something she will continue to do this Saturday. One poem goes like this: "She didn't realize the power her words held until she saw the lengths some would go to silence her. She can smell their fear."

"In Irreversible Damage, Abigail Shrier provides a thought-provoking examination of a new clinical phenomenon mainly affecting adolescent females—what some have termed rapid-onset gender dysphoria—that has, at lightning speed, swept across North America and parts of Western Europe and Scandinavia. In so doing, Shrier does not shy away from the politics that pervade the field of gender dysphoria. It is a book that will be of great interest to parents, the general public, and mental health clinicians."

Kashmir
An Appeal for Self-Determination
Report from Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fail.

Release of Kashmiri Political Prisoners Demanded
Washington, DC March 6, 2021.

"Masarat Alam Bhat, an alumnus of a prestigious missionary Tyndale Biscoe School, is one of the most recognizable Kashmiri youth leader. He has been-detained dozens of times for advocating the right of self-determination of the people of Kashmir. Masarat is a political prisoner who has spent 24 years in Indian jails. He is 48. He is in jail not because he is guilty of a crime - though he has been charged with a miscellany of offenses under arbitrarily drawn and enforced regulations - but because he believes that the people of Kashmir should be free to decide their own future in accordance with the pledge extended to them under the authority of the United Nations Security Council," Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, Secretary General, World Kashmir Awareness Forum said at a meeting in Washington, D.C. The meeting was held to raise the awareness about the political prisoners in Kashmir.

"Mr. Bhat advocates that the people of Kashmir are the party most directly affected by the dispute involving their homeland. Even though, they have made every effort to convey their point of view to the United Nations, these efforts have met with no response. The Indian government has kept Alam in jail for decades on more than 30 charges but never convicted him of a single one, " Fai said.

"The people of Jammu & Kashmir have not forgotten the promise of a plebiscite. Instead, pressure from the Kashmiri people to exercise their right to self-determination has grown. Each time Kashmiris have renewed their demands, Indian army has answered with renewed repression. These acts of repression have now turned into a systematic 'reign of terror' in the Vale of Kashmir. All the features of severe political repression are evident -- the detention without trial, torture, execution, the torturing of neighborhoods, imprisonment of leadership and gang rapes by the Indian army -- are common daily occurrences," Fai added.

Mr. Saleem Qadri, representative of Masarat Alam Bhat said that currently, Masarat has been detained under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA). Although the courts have quashed 38 PSA's against him completely. PSA, Qadri said, is a draconian law which enables the Indian army in Kashmir to detain civilians for up to one year without trial or due process for a wide variety of reasons. For example, under this act, an individual whose child has been murdered by Indian army and speaks out publicly against India's campaign can be detained for up to one year without trial for endangering 'public safety.' Also under this act an individual who produces pamphlets or newsletters that advocate the implementation of the UN Security Council resolutions calling for a plebiscite in Kashmir can also be arrested and detained without formal charge or due process.

Saleem Qadri elucidated that PSA violates Articles 9 and 14 of the international Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

"The failure of courts to get their orders implemented results in further victimization of persons held under preventive detention laws. The practice of re-arresting detainees, like Masarat Alam is very prevalent and that is done either on the ground of frivolous FIRs (First Information Report) or by passing of fresh detention orders one after another. This is done to keep persons continuously under detention without trial," Saleem Qadri explained.

Sardar Zarif Khan, President, Kashmir Solidarity Council, Washington Metropolitan area said that the people of Kashmir have come on the streets and marched towards the office of United nations Military Overseer Group for India and Pakistan (UNMOGIP) and submitted hundreds of memoranda to apprise the world body of the tragic and intolerable situation in Kashmir. It is ironic that this documentation should have failed to become a part of data for the consideration of the Security Council.

Sardar Zarif added that The United Nations bears a special responsibility to bring peace to Kashmir because it was in its chamber more than 72 years ago that India made a pledge to the world body in general and to the people of Kashmir in particular that they would be enabled to decide their future under an impartially supervised plebiscite on the basis of their innate right of self-determination. That promise has not been kept and in fact, has been repudiated in cynical violation of the principles enshrined in the Charter of the United Nations.

"No consideration of the Kashmir dispute which is designed to arrive at a peaceful settlement will yield any result unless the Kashmiri viewpoint is fully taken into account," Zarif emphasized.

The participants of the meeting request the Secretary General of the United Nations as the custodian of human rights to impress upon the Government of India to release unconditionally all political prisoners, including Masarat Alam Bhat, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Shabir Ahmed Shah, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrayee, Ms. Aasia Andrabi, Naeem Khan, Altaf Shah, Ms. Nahida Nasreen, Ms. Fahmida Sofi, Ms. Naseema Bano, others. Also use his great moral authority in bringing India, Pakistan and the genuine leadership of the people of Jammu and Kashmir to the negotiating table so that peace could be restored and durable settlement explored for the battered land of Kashmir.

Narrated by:
'Abdullah bin Umar

Allah's Apostle said,
"A Muslim is a brother of another Muslim, so he should not oppress him, nor should he hand him over to an oppressor. Whoever fulfilled the needs of his brother, Allah will fulfill his needs; whoever brought his (Muslim) brother out of a discomfort, Allah will bring him out of the discomforts of the Day of Resurrection, and whoever screened a Muslim, Allah will screen him on the Day of Resurrection . Staircase of Freedom

Staircase of Freedom

by Abukhubaib Bilal

Restless I sit on the top bunk in cell 201 at the Federal Prison in Minersville, Philadelphia.

The air seems to be thinning while the sun rises. The morning breakfast arrives on a dollie captained by a rookie correctional officer. Because of Positive detection of the Covid 19 virus in my section of the prison, my unit (3B) has been on mandatory lockdown for the past seventy- three days. The only time I'm able to leave my living corridors are for a fifteen minute shower, or serious medical attention,

But Today ! I have broken the rules and regulations encompassed upon me for the last Twelve years...Today is February, 8th 2021.This is also the symbolic day in the year of 1894 that the enforcement act repelled making it easier to disenfranchise African Americans..All I ask is for a penniy's worth of your time to deposit my Greatest achievement into your memory bank.

As the Announcement (call for prayer) for All Muslims around the world bounces of these Federal Prison walls this Friday ..I sit in the front row wishing I was shyly listening from where Naeems voice echoed off ,but I sat there with pleasure. Like the day I watched my daughter received her award In Syracuse Universitiy's Dome, although it was a sixth grader acknowledged award for her persistent accomplishments and not a diploma I sat there in a tranquil pause , today my hands did sweat but not as much as my mind raced concerning what was about to take place,

Today I will give my Shahada, testifying that Allah is One who has no sons or daughters or wife ,and that Muhammad ibn Abdullah is his final slave and messenger. The moment I became Muslim was the moment Islam in a general sense set me free ,

While being incarcerated, and now a Muslim African American I faced countless encounters with others who opposed my devotional routines, From playing dice and watching naked women on tv, to sitting in circles of knowledge and learning the language of Arabic made me seem as a foriegner in my own country.

Ahmed Abdel Sattar helped me release the anxiety daily life brings to practicing Muslims and taught me how to recite the Qur'an in the perfect tongue. He became like the father I never had in a sense that when I needed a male figure who walked with peace in his heart and love on his tounge Mr.Sattar was my sahabih,(close intimate friend), He taught me the value of modesty and then rained on me daily the structure of humanity, He showed me how to forgive even the one who will never forgive you,and how to love everything that Allah has created. I can honestly say that before I gave my Shahada the media brainwashed me about Islam, I actually believe that there is more peace under this banner of Islam than under the American Flag.Today is never going to leave my mind, Today I become a man, Today I walk through these dark times with the light from the Qur'an in my hand out to the front gate of this jail ,up to the first step of the staircase to freedom.

Pray for me......

 Islamic Thought

Du'a s from Imam Badi Ali
March 2 and 3.
As-slamu alaikum,
Allah (swt) said:
وَكَانَ أَبُوهُم¤ا صَالِحًا
"And their father was a righteous man.."
So the righteousness of the parents will cause their children to be righteous!
Stress the effort and make dua!
Raising children isn't easy!
Parents should make sure that their own aqeedah is intact; they should have a close relationship with Allah (swt).
May Allah protect our children whenever and wherever they are, Allahumma Ameen.
As-slamu alaikum,
A more effective approach is to catch kids doing something right: "You helped your mom with the dishes without being asked — that's terrific! Ma-shaa-Allah" or "I was watching you play with your sister and you were very patient Ma-shaa-Allah." These statements will do more to encourage good behavior in the long run than repeated scoldings.
Make a point of finding something to praise every day.
Be generous with rewards — your love, hugs, and compliments can work wonders and are often reward enough.
Soon you will find you are "growing" more of the behavior you would like to see.
May Allah protect our children whenever and wherever they are, Allahumma Ameen..
