China demolished more than 100 Uighur graveyards in what
human rights groups described as an escalation of the
communist regime's campaign to destroy the Muslim minority's
culture.
Hundreds of satellite images analysed by CNN showed burial
sites in western Xinjiang province have been wiped out, with
some turned into car parks and playgrounds.
The US broadcaster found the majority of the cemeteries,
where generations of Uighurs had been buried, were destroyed
over the last two years.
China did not deny destroying the cemeteries, and at least
one official notice said one of the burial sites been
relocated "to meet the demand of city planning and promote
construction".
Sophie Richardson, China director at Human Rights Watch,
told The Independent: "Authorities in Beijing and Urumqi
don't seem content tormenting Turkic Muslims alive today -
it appears their hostility to that community also extends to
the dead.
"Trying to justify the destruction of cultural property on
the grounds of fighting terrorism or urban planning fools no
one - instead it reinforces the urgent need for an
independent international investigation into gross human
rights violations across the region."

Gaza divided over future of border protests against Israel
The Higher National Commission, an umbrella organization
that has been overseeing what for the past 20 months has
often been referred to as the "Great March of Return,"
announced in a recent statement that the protests will be
resumed on a monthly basis, with additional rallies on
national holidays.
Organizers of the weekly demonstration along the enclave's
frontiers with Israel, which support the Palestinian right
of return and protest the siege on Gaza, believe it has
accomplished much at the political and practical levels.
Ismael Redwan, a Gaza-based leading Hamas member and a
member of the Higher National Commission of the "Great March
of Return", says that "the protest has gained attention for
the Palestinian cause, achieved unity in the field, and
affirmed the Palestinian right of resistance against Israeli
occupation."
However, some believe the protest's results have been
incommensurate with the amount of time invested in it.

though the attorney does not want to help Mr. Baptiste, it
appears that he does not want anyone else to help him
because he has already joined with the prosecutors. So that

People Consider them BOTH as Evil Forces, but a small group
is Protesting Loudly.

Shia in the Northern Nigeria took to streets in protest of
Iran's war representative in Iraq Qauzeem Sulaimani,who was
killed in the last American air raid.
Recall that Nigerian Shia under the leadership of Ibrahim
Elzakyzaky pledges allegiance not to the government of
Nigeria, but to the Islamic Republic of Iran. Shia in
Nigeria are de- facto Iranians domiciled in Nigeria.
There are many Shia members in almost all parts of Nigeria,
even though others are deceptive and not as bold as their
Northern counterparts.
Shia came out in protest with inscribed placard such as "
death to Israel", "death to America".
News of the death of Sulaimani was followed with mixed
reactions amongst Nigerians in general and Nigerian Muslims
in particular.
Some Muslims were not so perturbed owing to their beliefs
that Sulaimani had been responsible for loss of many souls
on the soil of Iraq. These set of people do not necessarily
support any dastardly policies of American government under
Trump, but hold the beliefs that both America and Iran are
world terrorists.
Neutral discussants of international politics strongly
believe that the killing is just a card for Trump to win
back his moribound respect and score a cheap acceptance for
re-election as the next American president.
Shia group and their sympathisers on the other hand regard
this killing as a serious violation of natural international
peace treaty and crossing of red lines by the government of
United States of America. This group therefore clamors for
harsh retaliation by the government of Iran.
At the time of putting this article together, the writer was
not aware of any government's pronouncement of the killing
of Sulaimani. Therefore, it is safe to say that government
of Nigeria is neutral from the feud between America and
Iran, until the contrary is proven.

Why was it so easy for the US to kill the Iranian General?
Why did Trump do it?

On January 2, top Iranian general Qassim Soleimani was
killed in a US air strike along with the Deputy Commander of
Iraqi Moiblization forces and 5 other senior Iraqi
officers.
Observers around the world were shocked by America's
assassination of General Soleimani. How could President
Trump successfully kill a top Iranian general so blatantly
and easily.
Most people don't understand because they have not been
studying the war in the Middle East.
People don't know that America never protested the entry of
Iran forces led by Soleimani into Syria. In fact there is
little doubt that the Assad regime in Damascus would not
have survived without the help of primarily Iran, and then
Lebanese Hizbullah and Russia.
Iran supported the sanctions regime which undermined Saddam
Hussain's regime and when America installed a Shia regime in
Baghdad, Iran invested a BILLION dollars in the new regime,
and America did not object.
The Baghdad regime was almost brought down by the Islamic
State [ISIS] but was saved by the joint action of the US,
Iran and USA's coalition. The central ISIS city Mosul was
literally reduced to rubble by joint US and Iranian action.
According to the Independent [UK} and other sources 40,000
plus civilians supporting IS wwre killed in Mosul [along
with 5000 fighters]. More than a million civilians from
Mosul were made homeless.
As a follow up, the ISIS capital of al-Raqqa in Syria was
also destroyed by the US and was occupied by SDF Kurds.
Syrian cities around Damascus as well as Aleppo were
destroyed by Iran, Russia and Hizbullah. In all this USA did
not object. USA, according to SOHR, bombed the families of
IS fighters who had taken refuge in Mayadeine [Deir ez Zor
province]. Iran did not object that women and children were
being killed. Iran used the opportunity to send its troops
into Deir ez Zor province.
Once ISIS was defeated, Iran started establishing itself in
Syria as it had done in Iraq. General Suleimanie played an
important role. He used proxies instead of open Iranian
presence.
Russia and Israel started objecting but America did not
object. Israel started several strikes a month against
Iranian positions and proxies. About 20 Iranians were killed
but Iran did not respond to keep the Iranian role low
key.
General Solieimani became over confident. He moved around
openly and did not consider that he could be hit. In the
meantime, large scale protests broke out in the Shia cities
of IRAQ and were very hostile to the Iranian presence.
Soleimanie went to Iraq and tried to calm down the
protestors.
It didn't work. He then used the pro-Iranian militia to
crush the protestors.
More than 400 Iraqi shias wre killed but the protests still
did not stop.
Soleimanie launched large scale propaganda claiming that
America was behind the protests. The protestors were
offended. The Pro-Iran militia tried to make it real by
firing a missile at an American camp killing an American
contractor. The US air force responded with strikes killiing
25 of the militia.
In the meantime in AMERICA, Trump was being impeached. In
the middle of this turmoil Trump struck killing Soleimanie
and 6 top officers of pro-Iran militia.
The Iranian general had taken. no precautions, no cover at
all. He had never thought that USA would kill him. He had
served them so well that he could not think that he could be
their target.
He was an easy target, openy visible at Baghdad
International Airport. He felt invincible. [Saddam used to
send out six identical cars when he went out.]
Trump successfully removed or at least diverted attention
from his impeachment.
Iran and Trump are now trading threats.

ISLAMABAD- JAN 3: The Jamaat-e-Islami will not back the
government proposed amendments in the Army Act and will take
a principled stand on the matter.
JI chief Senator Sirajul Haq announced this while talking to
the reporters outside Parliament House on Friday.
He said the decisions being made on the basis of the prime
minister's liking or disliking were tantamount to weaken the
national institutions. It would have been in the benefit of
the institution, had the government introduced the amendment
before November 15, he added.
He expressed regret over the manner the amendments were
proposed, saying the ruling party displayed an undue haste
in proposing changes in the act.
"The entire process adopted by the government seems an
attempt to prove the parliament a rubber stamp."
Siraj said the country desperately needed to bring out of
the "doctrine of necessity" as it always caused
embarrassment for the entire nation before the international
community.
To a question, he said it was a good omen that two main
opposition parties (PML-N & PPP) were backing the PTI on the
Army Act, adding it was the high time the three parties
displayed unity to bring the country out the prevailing
crises of bad economy, inflation and poverty.
"If the three parties [the PTI, the PML-N & the PPP] can
portray unity to safeguard their interests then what is the
hurdle in becoming them united to resolve the problems of
the masses."
Expressing surprise over the politics of three parties, he
said it was proved that they all were virtually on same page
but sometimes acted differently.
The JI Emir said a powerful army was the need of the country
keeping in view the regional situation. He said India could
anytime attack across the boundary to divert the world
attention from India's internal situation and human rights
abuses in Kashmir. In case of any Indian aggression, he said
the JI would be at forefront and stand shoulder to shoulder
with the brave armed forces to protect the country's
sovereignty.

January 1. Assad's forces fired surface to surface missiles
on the town of Sarmin [border of eastern Irbid] killing 9
civilians and injuring 15. The dead include 5 children and 2
women. In the Talmanas town area, mujahideen and Assad's
troops exchanged heavy fire for several hours.
Most important :
January 2. Mujahideen group attacked Assad's heavily armed
militia in the villages of Jarjnaz and al-Tah. eastern Irbid
border.
18 regime troops were killed but mujahideen withdrew after
losing 10 of their own.
Mujahideen infiltrators killed 4 regime troops and injured 8
but lost two of their own. [Lattakia province, Jabal
al-Akrad.]
January 4. Assad's regime carried out 39 bombing raids on
Ma'arat al-Nu'man city , 5 villages and the Damascus-Aleppo
highway which are in Islamic control.
In addition, Assad's helicopters dropped 24 barrel bombs on
6 villages,
Lattakia province and Aleppo province. Assad regime fired
175 shells and missiles at Islamic positions. [Re:

Deir-ez-Zor province: 100 American and allied military
trucks carrying military supplies for SDF Kurds through the
al-Walid crossing from Iraq.
SDF headquarters [backed by the US] came under IS gunfire in
Busayrah city. Also an IED explosion near al-Omar oilfield
now controlled by the US.
January 3.
Near Al-Sukhna in the Homs countryside, ISIS attacked Assad
regime troops on the Palmyra highway "Many soldiers' became
casualties in these explosions.
January 2, ISIS raiders attacked an SDF checkpoint in
al-Hawaij village [eastern Dei ez Zor province.] A largw
explosion also rocked Al-Suhayl town held by SDF.
January 3.
Deraa province., gunmen attacked the headquarters of Assad's
military in al-Harak city.
[Syrian Observatory for Human Rights is reporting that on
December 26, 2019, Iranian general Qassim Soleimanie met a
delegation of Arab tribes at the official invitation of
Tehran ."The meeting discussed carrying out attacks against
American forces and the SDF. Tribes named are al-Ma;amra
clan, the al-Boasi clan, the commander of NDF in Qamishli,
the Sheikh of al-Sharayin, and Sheikh of Harb clan.'
[NDF is the collection of irregular forces supporting
Assad.]
Kenya
Al-Shabab Overran US Military Base and Left. 6 Aircraft and
numerous vehicles destroyed.
On January 5, Al-Shabab from Somalia, according to TIME
overran a US military base in Kenya near the Somalia
border.
Shabab, which are reportedly supported by al-Qaida caused 17
US casualties in the raid. US has admitted that two army
contractors and an army soldier were killed
but did not mention the wounded. Also, 7 Kenyan soldiers
working for US were killed.
An internal Kenyan police report seen by the AP said two
fixed-wing aircraft, a U.S. Cessna and a Kenyan one, were
destroyed along with two U.S. helicopters and multiple U.S.
vehicles at the Manda Bay military airstrip. The report said
explosions were heard at around 5:30 a.m. from the direction
of the airstrip. The scene, now secured, indicated that
al-Shabab likely entered "to conduct targeted attacks," the
report said.

Turkey to support Government in Libya after attempts by
General Haftar to capture Tripoli.
January 4.
Over 30 students have been killed and over 40 others have
been injured in airstrikes by Khalifa Haftar's warplanes on
the headquarters of the military cadet College in Hadba
neighborhood in Tripoli, Libya, Health Ministry spokesman
confirmed Saturday.
Those injured were sent to Khadra Hospital, which has called
for emergency blood donations for the serious injuries.
[Haftar's military is supported by Egypt, UAE and Russian
mercenaries along with mercenaries from Chad. UAE has been
bombing civilians in the Tripoli area.
Hafter is based in Benghazi. He worked for many years for
Qaddafi.]
Turkey has sent troops to help the government in Tripoli.
They are Syrian volunteers who decided to help Turkey.
On January 5. a Turkish drone hit Haftar's military camp 135
miles south of Tripoli, killing 5 and injuring 8 of Haftar's
troops.

There is a saying, ".The family that prays together, stays
together." But, when it comes to the U.S. military
unfortunately, the saying should be, "The family that preys
on others together, preys on each other."
Photojournalist Mary F. Calvert has documented rape among
U.S. military personnel for over six years. At first, she
focused only on female victims but, realized that there was
a silent group of male sexual assault victims that needed to
heard. Reading any account of rape is disturbing enough but,
the fact that some of these rapes were reported,
immediately, and either the victims were threatened with a
homosexual misconduct charge or it was completely ignored is
even more disturbing!
The article states that a 2018 biannual Department of
Defense report found that rapes increased by an astonishing
38 percent. There were 20,500 complaints in 2018 compared to
14,900 in 2016. This article states that more men than women
were rape victims. However, a 2014 ThinkProgress.com article
(Author: Hayes Brown) reported that the Associated Press
found that it was actually more men than women who were
victims of sexual assault in the military.
There is definitely a rape culture in the military. In spite
of proof that sexual assault is an act of power regardless
of the victim, there are still people who try and
distinguish the reasons behind why men rape women and men
rape men. By the way, females sexually assault males, too,
but because of society's belief that women are always the
victim and men the victimizers (sic), there are very few
women charged and/or convicted.
People join the U.S. military under the guise that they are
defending our freedoms (from someone else's backyard?).
There have been serious accusations of sexual assault by
U.S. military personnel of civilians in Muslim countries
but, only one or two convictions. Many people also join the
U.S. military to earn income when finding civilian jobs
proves too difficult or to learn discipline but, end up
being victimized, instead.
The accounts of these male victims are very disturbing. Some
of these men have slept very little for years or they only
take baths because of shower rapes.
Many people assume that Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
(PTSD) is a result of the "enemy" setting roadside bombs.
But, it also includes rapes by fellow soldiers. It is
because of PTSD that few employers hire ex-soldiers. There
is a stigma with being in the military to the point where
people try to hide it as they would a conviction.
The NBA's Hoops for Troops and other American professional
sports efforts to honor the U.S. military are propaganda
vehicles that cater to the ignorance of so many fans. They
make being in the U.S. military seem like such a lofty
ambition. It is only in recent years that the media has even
put a spotlight on military rapes and these rapes do not
only occur in the military. Sexual assaults have occurred on
military college campuses. Perhaps, people will start to
think twice about enlisting, now?
I remember walking on the Upper West Side and seeing a gay
newspaper with a headline accusing the Taliban of homosexual
activity among their ranks. As a matter of fact, the
mujahiddeen have been assailed by such unfounded accusations
by gay publications for years. But, rather than engage in
such baseless discussions with sinners, I do what athletes
do when they've taken a cheap shot from an opponent whose
team is down by thirty points: Point to the score board!
I am not saying this to be dismissive about rape nor to
taunt. I am questioning how a people, who have to dodge
bullets to find food and water during the Holy Month of
Rammadan can still have the stamina to keep fighting while
engaging in the same shenanigans that the U.S. soldiers have
been proven to engage in but, with better results?!
Allah is always on the side of His believers but, why?
Because the mujahiddeen submit to his Will. They do not
prescribe to these sorts of dysfunctions prevalent among
U.S. soldiers. The U.S. military is not the defender here
but, the aggressor and their aggressive behavior has caused
them to implode!

AZIZABAD, Afghanistan - Once the Americans left, the
survivors started digging.
There were too many dead and not enough shovels, so a local
politician brought in heavy machinery from a nearby
construction site. He dug graves deep enough to fit mothers
with children, or children with children. Some were still in
their pajamas, their hands inked with henna tattoos from the
party preparations the night before.
Villagers picked through the rubble of what had been an
entire neighborhood, looking for remains to wrap in white
linens for burial. A boy clutching a torn rug walked in a
daze on top of the ruins. A young man collapsed in grief by
a pile of mud bricks where his home once stood - where his
wife and four children had been sleeping inside.
The local doctor recorded a cellphone video to document the
dead faces, freckled with shrapnel and blood, coated with
dust and debris. Some were Afghan men of fighting age, but
most - dozens of them - were women and children. Taza was 3
years old. Maida was 2. Zia, 1.
The hot summer wind kicked up dust, smoke and the smell of
gunpowder as villagers tried to make sense of why their
remote village was demolished by an American airstrike in
the middle of the night.
A clue was found near several of the dead Afghan fighters:
ID badges from the private security company at the
American-controlled airfield up the road.
Why had a team of U.S. soldiers and Marines battled its own
paid security detail?
After more than a decade, those who buried their families
still don't know.
U.S. military officials publicly touted the August 22, 2008,
Azizabad raid - Operation Commando Riot - as a victory. A
high-value Taliban target had been killed; the collateral
damage was minimal; the village was grateful.
None of it was true.
