Breaking News: Al-Aqsa Desecrated: Palestinians call for response to Israel
September 27, 2009: Israeli occupation police violently quelled Palestinian worshippers who were trying to block the desecration of the Aqsa Mosque by tens of Jewish fanatics escorted by security forces. [Also see Abunimah's superb article on Palestine & Obama below.]

Spotlight from Imam Badi Ali [North Carolina]

The way Libyan leader Qaddafi has been treated in America borders on racism. Here is a man who wants to be America's friend but he is the butt of jokes in the US media and is stopped from pitching his tent in the NY-NJ area in spite of his offer to pay substantial amounts. They want to do business with him but despise the fact that he is African. He called the Security Council the Terror Council and they can't take it.

[NT media monitor adds: Saturday Night Live {SNL} went overboard with its cartooning of Col. Qaddafi. The way his Arab accent and his personality were presented, it was barely concealed racism. It was like a scene out of old American racist movies about Sambo. Remember that the man who runs SNL is Seth Myers, a Zionist Jew.]

Protest Musharraf at the Meyerhoff

Place: 1212 Cathedral St
Baltimore, MD 21201-5556
Date: September 29, 2009
Time: : Musharraf's speech starts at 8 PM and will be closed to the public. [Be there OUTSIDE Meyerhoff at 7.30 PM]

Why protest?
Because war criminals and the arts do not mix.

Description

The Meyerhoff has done it again! Last year, they hosted war criminal Madeleine Albright and Islam-hater Salman Rushdie as part of their annual Baltimore Speakers Series. This year, they honor former Pakistani dictator General Pervez Musharraf.

Why Protest?

* Musharraf helped "disappear" many innocents to Guantanamo, where they (including child prisoners) were held under horrific conditions, tortured, and abused.

* He ordered the demolition of numerous mosques, from which he feared opposition (this was usually instrumented by Muhammad Ijaz-ul-Haq, then Minister of Religious Affairs).

Among the masajid demolished by the "good" General:

Masjid Ibne-Abbas (Archard Road, Islamabad)
Masjid Ameer Hamza (Murree Road, Islamabad)
Masjid Umar Bin Abdul Aziz (Police Colony, Islamabad)
Masjid Aamna (Shakar Parian, Islamabad)
Masjid Syyedna Ali (Nai Kacherian, Islamabad)
Masjid Umar (Near Chaudhary Plaza, G-8 Markaz, Islamabad)
Masjid Ameer Hamza (F-10/3 Sector, Islamabad)

(Source: New Trend Magazine)

(Pretext for demolition: usually "illegal construction" or "security risk.")

* Musharraf is the only Pakistani general to call out 10,000 troops against a major, functioning masjid.

Under his orders, the Red Mosque and Jamia Hafsa Women's Seminary (both in Islamabad) were first besieged by tanks and heavy artillery, then stormed by his elite U.S. trained-commandos.

Over 150 people (by very conservative estimate) were killed in the Lal Masjid massacre. Many of these were young women who'd studied in the madressa. Musharraf's army also issued a shoot-to-kill order against journalists during the siege. [Unofficial but usually reliable sources say the death toll was above 1,000. Musharraf's troops used phosphorous against the youths in the mosque. Those killed included the ailing mother of the leader of the mosque.]

For these, and other war crimes, Musharraf ought to be tried--not honored at the Meyerhoff!

We call on all people of conscience to peacefully picket outside the Meyerhoff while Musharraf is speaking

Outreach: #1
At Masjid Rahma: Informing Baltimore Muslims: Musharraf-Zionist Linkup at the Meyerhoff.

September 25, 2009: After Juma' salat at Masjid Rahma, a flyer on General Musharraf's arrival in Baltimore, Maryland and his linkup with ther local Zionist groups was given to local Muslims. The Jamaat al-Muslimeen flyer was given to 200 Muslims. It noted that three of the most important Jewish-Zionist organizations in Baltimore have united to honor Musharraf, the murderer of Muslims. These three are:
Owing to the pro-government nature of Masjid Rahma [Islamic Society of Baltimore] and its links with ISNA, ICNA and Siraj Wahhaj, the Muslims here are isolated from the issues facing the Ummah. They had no idea that the Zionists had invited Musharraf. Some of the Pakistanis who got our flyer were outraged at Musharraf's link-up with the Jews and cursed him out. They were all very surprised. The leaders of ISB had kept them in the dark.

Another much smaller group of Pakistanis was also given the protest flyer at a Brelvi Masjid only about 4 miles from ISB.

Outreach #2:
"Boycott pro-Israel Businesses" Card and Jamaat Resolutions to 76 people at ISWA [Near Washington]

ISWA [Islamic Society of Washington Area] brings together Muslims mostly from Guyana [South America] and Trinidad. Jamaat al-Muslimeen's resolutions written by the National Islamic Shoora were given to 43 people. The resolutions call for the withdrawal of US troops from Afghanistan and Iraq and condemn Israel's blockade of Gaza [among other issues]. They demand the release of Imam Jamil, Dr. Omar Abdel Rahman, Dr. Aafiya Siddiqui and other political prisoners. Exploitation of women in the media as well as media's censorship of Cynthia Mckinney's struggle against Israel and too much focus on Michael Jackson was noted in the resolutions.

In addition, the new BOYCOTT card produced by Jamaat al-Muslimeen was given to 33 Muslims at ISWA. The card specifically focuses on boycott of Coca Cola, McDonalds, Starbucks, Nestle and other businesses which support Israel.

Outreach #3: Atlanta, Georgia: Support Homeless Women and Muslim Businesses

Baitul Salaam, America's premiere program working to help needy and oppressed Muslim women is expanding its reach. It started in Atlanta but now is on the air waves.

A few days back Dr. Kaukab Siddique spoke to the Baitul Salaam audience live on the air. He encouraged listeners to give steady support to the work being done to help needy and homeless Muslim women and children. He also emphasized the need to support Muslim businesses and independent Muslim organizations. Halal stores are important even if they charge a little more than the regular supermarkets, he said.

Sis. Hadayai, who runs the program, expressed deep appreciation for the support Dr. Siddique's mother had shown at one time for Baitul Salaam. Recently Sis. Hadayai was in Augusta, Georgia and was welcomed by the Muslim community.

Quds Day: September 18, 2009: Muslims Must Liberate Jerusalem:
Imam Muhammad al-'Asi speaks at Juma' on Sidewalk in Washington, DC.

Photo N. Siddique.
Islamic women were part of the Juma' congregation on the sidewalk just outside the Islamic Center on Massachusetts Avenue in Washington, DC. [The Center itself is one of the "deadest" masjids in America. Like Masjid Rahma, it is another beautiful building with no concern for the Ummah! CAIR's Director Hooper insulted Islam and Muslims by standing with Bush inside the Islamic Center!]

Before prayers, a procession was carried out to show US Muslim support for Quds Day rallies in numerous Muslim countries.

"Why should the Palestinians be punished and be forced to give up their homeland following a European-on-European genocide in which they had no part?" Imam Muhammad al-A'si asked. Of Syrian background, Imam 'Asi is one of the VERY FEW imams who did not sell out or get scared during the eight years of Bush. He speaks with great eloquence against Israel.

WORDS of EMPOWERMENT on Quds Day: Palestine Must be Freed.

Speaking on Quds Day in Beirut, Lebanon, Hizbullah leader Shaikh Nasrallah said: There is no question EVER of recognition of Israel. It is a terrorist entity which must be resisted.

In Tehran, Iran the newly elected and immensely popular Islamic leader Ahmedinejad, speaking on Quds Day, condemned Israeli atrocities and the siege of Gaza. He said that the Jews were not the only people who suffered in World War II. Thus the Holocaust story, focusing only on Jewish suffering, is a lie, a big lie, which is used to legitimize Israel's occupation of Palestine.

Pro-American groups in Tehran tried to disrupt Ahmedinejad's massive pro-Palestine rally but were beaten back peacefully by supporters of the Islamic movement.

Canada Held Muslim for 6 Years: Now Finds no basis for Holding him

Canadian Muslim Forum (FMC-CMF) Applauds Court Judgement to Quash Charkaoui's Security Certificate
(Montreal, Canada - Sept 25, 2009) The Canadian Muslim Forum (FMC-CMF) today applauded the decision by Federal Court Justice Madame Danielle Tremblay-Lamer to quash the security certificate against Adil Charkaoui. Charkaoui spent two years in detention and another four under house arrest, after a security certificate was issued against him in 2003.
"We applaud Justice Tremblay-Lamer's decision to quash Adil Charkaoui's security certificate. From the start, any allegations against Mr. Charkaoui should have been presented in our criminal courts and not through secret trials, or the security certificate regime. Regular court procedures and due process are a most" said Mohamed Kamel, Canadian Muslim Forum (FMC-CMF) president.
Earlier this week, Justice Simon Noel loosened the bail conditions that Mohamed Harket, also named under a security certificate, was being held under. Justice Noel ruled that Harket's phone and mail can no longer be monitored, his curfew restrictions had to be lifted, and his visitors do not have to be cleared by the federal government in advance. However, Harket must still wear a GPS ankle bracelet.
In Feburary 2007, security certificates were deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court, but the federal government resurrected the legislation after minor alterations.
Currently, in addition to Charkaoui and Harket, three other Muslim men are being held under detention or house arrest due to security certificates: Hassan Almrei, Mohammad Mahjoub and Mahmoud Jaballah.

IRAN: What did Ahmedinejad say about Israel at the UN? Was it anti-Semitic? Here is the relevant Excerpt.

"How can one imagine that the inhuman policies in Palestine may continue; to force the entire population of a country out of their homeland for more than 60 years by resorting to force and coercion; to attack them with all types of arms and even prohibited weapons; to deny them of their legitimate right of self-defense, while much to the chagrin of the international community calling the occupiers as the peace lovers, and portraying the victims as terrorists.
How can the crimes of the occupiers against defenseless women and children and destruction of their homes, farms, hospitals and schools be supported unconditionally by certain governments, and at the same time, the oppressed men and women be subject to genocide and heaviest economic blockade being denied of their basic needs, food, water and medicine.
They are not even allowed to rebuild their homes which were destroyed during the 22-day barbaric attacks by the Zionist regime while the winter is approaching. Whereas the aggressors and their supporters deceitfully continue their rhetoric in defense of human rights in order to put others under pressure.
It is no longer acceptable that a small minority would dominate the politics, economy and culture of major parts of the world by its complicated networks, and establish a new form of slavery, and harm the reputation of other nations, even European nations and the U.S., to attain its racist ambitions." IRAQ: US Troops Kill "shoe-thrower" in Occupied Fallujah. He insulted US soldiers
By Agence France Press
Published: September 16, 2009

FALLUJAH, Iraq — An Iraqi man who witnesses said shouted abuse before throwing a shoe at a US army vehicle was shot dead on Wednesday in what the American military said was a suspected grenade attack.
Residents told an AFP reporter in Fallujah that Ahmed Latif, 32, whom they said was mentally disturbed, insulted the soldiers as they patrolled in the centre of the city, and then hurled a shoe at them.
The US military told AFP that a convoy in Fallujah had been attacked with a suspected grenade.
"Positive identification of the attacker was made, and US forces fired in self-defence wounding the attacker," the army said in a statement.
"Local Iraqi police secured the scene and transported the wounded attacker to a local hospital for medical care," it added.
Dr Ali Hatam of Fallujah hospital confirmed that Latif died of gunshot wounds.
The incident came a day after Iraqi journalist Muntazer al-Zaidi was freed after spending nine months in jail for throwing his shoes at former US president George W. Bush during a visit to Baghdad.
Zaidi, whose action was in protest at the bloodshed and suffering in Iraq caused by the 2003 invasion ordered by Bush, went into hiding fearing for his life before flying out of the country.

September 24, 2009: A US drone fired missiles into an Islamic school [medressa] in the Darpa Khel area of North Waziristan. At least 10 Islamic people were killed. Reports indicate that the US was trying to kill Ahmad Afghani, one of the sons of veteran mujahid leader Jalaluddin Haqqani who supports Osama bin Laden.

Retaliation:
September 24: In the Janikhel area of Bannu district abutting North Waziristan, top tribal collaborators of the Pakistani military fell into a Taliban ambush. Seven of them were killed, including Malik Sultan who was leading attempts to raise tribal mercenaries to fight the Pak Taliban. Observers say, its a deadly blow for General Kayani's efforts to seal off the anti-American forces.
[The Pakistani military had earlier bombed and shelled the Janikhel area when it was preparing to invade Waziristan. The assault which continued for seven days killed 124 civilians, as we reported earlier, and made thousands homeless.]

New Trend thanks Dr. Ismail Zayid [Canada] for this important article by Abunimah
Obama's peace effort has failed but our struggle continues
Ali Abunimah, The Electronic Intifada, 24 September 2009
US President Barack Obama, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas in a kitschy reprise of the famous 1993 White House lawn handshake between Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin. (MaanImages)
There is the old joke about a man who is endlessly searching on the ground beneath a street light. Finally, a neighbor who has been watching him asks the man what he is looking for. The man replies that he lost his keys. The neighbor asks him if he lost them under the streetlight. "No," the man replies, pointing into the darkness, "I lost them over there, but I am looking over here because here there is light!"

The intense focus on the "peace process" is a similarly futile search. Just because politicians and the media shine a constant light on it, does not mean that is where the answers are to be found.

The meeting hosted by US President Barack Obama with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas at New York's Waldorf Astoria hotel on 22 September signaled the complete and terminal failure of Obama's much vaunted push to bring about a two-state solution to the Palestine/Israel conflict.

To be sure, all the traditional activities associated with the "peace process" -- shuttle diplomacy, meetings, ritual invocations of "two states living side by side," and even "negotiations" -- will continue, perhaps for the rest of Obama's time in office. But this sterile charade will not determine the future of Palestine/Israel. That is already being decided by other means.

Before coming to that, let's recall those heady days in May when Secretary of State Hillary Clinton set out the Obama Administration's firm policy on Israel's colonization of the West Bank: "We want to see a stop to settlement construction -- additions, natural growth, any kind of settlement activity -- that is what the president has called for."

Obama's envoy, former Senator George Mitchell, traveled to the region almost a dozen times to convince Israel to implement a freeze. Every proposal he took, the Israelis rejected. And to emphasize the point, the Israeli government accelerated the approval of major new settlement plans. Instead of threatening consequences for such intransigence, Mitchell simply diluted American conditions to meet Israeli objections until finally there was little left of the American demands -- or credibility.

So it was that in his remarks at New York, Obama's call for a total construction freeze was reduced to a polite request to Israel merely to "restrain" itself from devouring more Palestinian land.

Speaking to reporters after the New York meeting, Mitchell dropped the demand for a settlement freeze and made the US surrender official. "We are not identifying any issue as being a precondition or an impediment to negotiation," Mitchell said, adding, "We do not believe in preconditions. We do not impose them and we urge others not to impose them."

This is of course completely untrue. The Obama Administration, like the Bush Administration before it, continues to boycott Hamas (which has a legitimate electoral mandate to represent Palestinians under occupation) on the grounds that Hamas has refused to meet one-sided American preconditions!

The next day in his UN speech, Obama repeated the call for negotiations without preconditions. He did not explain why such negotiations would be any more fruitful than the 200-odd negotiating sessions held between the PA and the previous Israeli government headed by Ehud Olmert. Obama may have told the UN that the peace process must "break the old patterns," but he is simply repeating them.

The New York meeting produced yet another image of an American president cajoling reluctant Israeli and Palestinian leaders to shake hands, a kitschy and tiresome reprise of the famous 1993 White House lawn handshake between Yasser Arafat and Yitzhak Rabin with President Clinton looking on, that sealed the ill-fated Oslo accords. Unsatisfied by its failures to date, the Obama Administration apparently craves more. It aims for a resumption of "negotiations" within weeks, to be inaugurated with what a US official called a "launch event." Ideas under discussion, the unnamed US official told the Israeli daily Haaretz, include "a meeting in Sharm al-Sheikh in Egypt."

That this is the level of thinking within the Obama Administration is utterly depressing. I can see it now -- as we have so many times before -- another meeting at the Egyptian resort attended by all the usual suspects: Israeli and Palestinian leaders (except of course Hamas), "moderate" leaders of repressive US client regimes like Jordan's King Abdallah and Egypt's President Hosni Mubarak, and the whole pack of peace process parasites led by Quartet representative Tony Blair and EU "High Representative" Javier Solana. We can expect more statements that there is a "window of opportunity," that this is "the only game in town," and that "time is running out."

If this is not absurd enough, consider what the US is really saying to the Palestinians in the wake of Mitchell's failure: "We, the greatest superpower on Earth, are unable to convince Israel -- which is dependent on us militarily, economically and diplomatically -- to abide by even a temporary settlement freeze. Now, you Palestinians, who are a dispossessed, occupied people whose leaders cannot move without an Israeli permit, go and negotiate on much bigger issues like borders, refugees, Jerusalem and settlements, and do better than we did. Good luck to you."

Even if Israel agreed to a settlement freeze and negotiations resumed, there is no chance for a viable two-state solution or any just resolution coming out of such talks. So like its predecessors, this administration is substituting process and gimmicks for substance.

If the "peace process" is not driving events, then what is? Israeli colonization -- as Obama initially understood -- is the major factor determining the present and future of Palestine/Israel. Geographer and former Israeli deputy mayor of Jerusalem, Meron Benvenisti, has observed that Israel's 1967 occupation of the West Bank and Gaza Strip effectively ended the 1948 partition. "The decades since the war have proved that 1967 was not a disjunction but quite the opposite, a union, and that the preceding period was merely a reprieve," Benvenisti wrote in 2007.

After more than 40 years, Benvenisti views the "occupier/occupied paradigm" as too limited and misleading to describe the post-1967 reality. It is, he writes, an "anachronism that hides behind the portrayal of a temporary condition." He proposes instead that we call the situation in Palestine/Israel a "de facto binational state ... because it describes the mutual dependence of both societies, as well as the physical, economic, symbolic and cultural ties that cannot be severed except at an intolerable cost."

Repartition of Palestine would only change the shape of the conflict, not solve it. Even if Palestinians in the West Bank and Gaza Strip were given a state, an unreformed, ultranationalist "Jewish state" of Israel would be more likely to turn its aggression and ethnic cleansing against its own 1.5 million Palestinian citizens than live in peace. After all, as Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman has asked repeatedly, what is the point of a two-state solution that doesn't produce an exclusively Jewish state?

The 1967 boundary may have legal and political salience, but it does not demarcate geographically compact, ethnically homogenous and economically independent geo-political units. Ramallah Palestinian Authority (PA) Prime Minister Salam Fayyad may harbor fantasies about creating a "de facto" Palestinian state in the West Bank, but the close collaboration between Israel and the PA only confirms the trend towards binationalism -- of the wrong sort to be sure.

Isn't it ironic that the most enthusiastic boosters of the ugly collaboration between the Israeli occupation army and US-trained PA militias to suppress resistance to the occupation, simultaneously insist that it is implausible for Palestinians and Israelis to build a joint society under conditions of equality? Apparently Palestinians and Israelis can collude to maintain oppression and injustice but not to transcend them!

A second factor determining the present and future is the resistance in all its forms that Israeli colonization continues to generate: the movement of Palestinians within Israel for full equality in a state of all its citizens; the refugees' steadfast insistence that Israel not be allowed to prevent them returning home just because they are the wrong religion; the refusal of Palestinians in Gaza to buckle under a crippling blockade. During Ramadan, hundreds of thousands of fasting Palestinians endured unbelievable hardships to break Israel's ring of steel around Jerusalem to enter the occupied city for Friday prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque.

This spirit of resistance is expressed in millions of daily acts and refusals by individual Palestinians, but also in highly directed, creative and organized ways such as the weekly demonstrations against Israel's apartheid wall in the West Bank, or the rapidly expanding Palestinian-directed international campaign of boycott, divestment and sanctions (BDS).

These forms of organized resistance and solidarity are changing the balance of moral and political power and have the potential to force Israeli Jews to abandon their quest for ethno-religious purity and domination just as Afrikaners did in South Africa, Unionists did in Northern Ireland, and white Americans did in the southern US. They are bolstered by the growing calls for international accountability, the most recent of which include the Goldstone report's recommendation that Israeli leaders be prosecuted for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.

Official complicity with Israel's crimes -- such as the Obama Administration's despicable decision to attack and quash the Goldstone report -- are likely only to spur further support for BDS. These sources of power are still comparatively small compared to Israel's military and diplomatic might, but their momentum is increasing and official Israel's panic in the face of the growing challenge is palpable.

For years, scholars and activists calling for serious research and discussion about a unified state guaranteeing the rights of all who live in it, were ignored or ridiculed by defenders of the failed two-state solution. But the growing appeal of a vision that inspires and attracts individuals because of its universalism is terrifying the high priests of partition. The peace process industry, its think tanks and "experts," understand that they can no longer monopolize the discussion. Peace will not be made at the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan; it will be made everywhere that people of conscience are prepared to join the struggle for liberation, justice and equality for all the people who live in Palestine/Israel.

In one sense then, the significance of the New York meeting was its utter insignificance. The real struggle for justice carries on regardless.

The Harvard Crimson -- Don't Ask, Don't Tell Journalism

On 09 September the Harvard Crimson published a letter from its own staff titled "Obligations of the Press." The letter addressed an advertisement run by Committee for Open Debate on the Holocaust (CODOH) that asked two questions.

The first question asked why General Dwight Eisenhower, in his 550-page book Crusade in Europe, did not mention the WMD (gas chambers) that the Germans used to "exterminate" millions of Jews and others.

The second question asked for the name, with proof, of one person killed in a gas chamber at Auschwitz. No Harvard academic has offered a reply to either question.

The letter from The Crimson staff observed that "the advertisement offended large segments of the campus," and that "we believe this item should never be found in the pages of a college newspaper."

Why? Because the questions "promote hate and could actually jeopardize the psychological and emotional well being of others in the Harvard community."

What others? Was the psychological and emotional well being of the Palestinians at Harvard jeopardized? The Lebanese, the Syrians, Egyptians or the Iraqis? How about the Koreans, the Japanese, the Chinese? The Brazilians, Argentinians, the students from Liberia and Uganda?

How about students of German decent at Harvard? Who at the Harvard Crimson has ever expressed concern about the psychological and emotional well being of Germans? Let's not joke around. If the accusation is against Germans, it's good to go. Decade after decade for more than half a century. It is taboo to question the gas-chamber accusation. Not to deny it, but simply to question it. Issues of psychological and emotional well being be dammed. No time for that. We're talking about Germans here.

Following the lead of Harvard faculty, which is only natural, the Crimson staff writes: "We hope to see The Crimson and other college newspapers refrain from printing similar content going forward."

The staff of the Harvard Crimson has stated it clearly. The "obligation" of the press with regard to the gas-chamber question is:

Don't ask. Don't tell.

Some of us feel a different obligation. Ask. If you get an answer you believe is reasonable, tell others. That is—do ask, do tell. It's called a free exchange of ideas. It's a concept that makes the same promise to those who believe what The Crimson staff believes about the gas-chamber story that it makes to those who question what The Crimson staff believes about the gas-chamber story. That promise is to shine the light of day onto the question and to reveal what is there without fear or favor.

Light has no interest in fear, no interest in favor. The one interest of light is to reveal clearly that which it is bathing in its own essence.

Letter: Sept 22 issue: Reader Shocked by Commentary on Immigrants & Social Engineering

From Imam Badi Ali " Notice how the mosques are filling beyond capacity with new immigrants? A social engineering program is underway. Immigrants are being brought in from Muslim countries without regard for their educational level or understanding of America. They are often dumped in ghettoes and are straining the limited public resources for the needy. They are often bad examples of Islam and are creating problems in the mosques. They park wherever they want to and attract neighbors' complaints, leading to police visits and sometimes closing down of mosques. The new taxi drivers do not keep their taxis clean and tidy on the inside, as earlier ones used to, leaving a poor impression on Americans.

This upsurge of immigrant dumping by the regime could be planned to destabilize America's Muslim communities. We should get involved and try to work with the newcomers. Whoever is plotting and planning should know that Allah is the Best of Planners."

salaam alaikum, I was beyond shocked to see this in your newsletter. It sounds like it is straight from a right wing Republican or a white supremicist organization. If they said it you would be castigating them as anti Islamic racists or tools of anti Islam Zionists. It is very hard these days for any Muslim or Arab to get in her even for a visit so why would you even say such stuff. Most of these guys are coming in through relatives already legally here and it is no plot of the government. Shame, let our communities educate them and teach them courtesy and proper Islam.

Letter: Immigrant Dumping Creates a Big Mess in Muslim Communities: Imam Badi is on Target

As-Salaamu Alaikum
Another great issue. Imam Badi Ali is correct in his assessment of the immigrant situation. The idea is to place such a burden on the communities that there will no longer be finances available to sustain them. We already have too many immigrants who have come with their cultural baggage of prejudice, discrimination, racism, and sexism. Interestingly enough they are the ones that are giving the kutbahs in which they say absolutely nothing, never speaking out on oppression and falsehood. I feel like I am back in the church, but ironically enough the Muslims in my area don't behave (especially the children) or dress as well as the people I went to church with. Jeans and tee shirts, body odor and breath that smells like tobacco. We dressed to go to church and had clothes that were designated for that purpose. No kufis, no Thobes, with shirts tucked in like the disbelievers, and they are worried about the sisters covering. What a laugh!

Letter: Praise for Article on Maudoodi, Mullah Omar, Criticism of Madoff and Hizb Tahrir {Review of New Trend Sept. 22]

Mohtram Kaukab Bhai, ASA

As usual, Alhamdulillah, this issue is quite informative and produces new sense of directions to think and act for the Ummah.
*Obama is out and out following the lines of Bush. Gates is his military adviser in the matter of war in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Both are not friends of Muslims at all. Obama is surrounded by "Ahley Yahud and Ahley Hanud". Muslim are behaving like naive people and nurturing wishful thinking only.
*.Re: Your arranging protest march against tyrant "Bushsharraf" , the greatest idiot of the Muslim world and the stooge of the Western hypocrisy. His rightful place is gallows. May Allah make it a successful event.
*The Madoff's plunder and loot has been cleverly put under the rug by the Jewish media and I am sure its agents are making his life more than comfortable in jail. and you will find that after a few years he will be pardoned by a pro-Jewish President on point of health, silently, and people will know only when he will appear in Israel.
* Your comments about Maulana Maudoodi Merhoom's contribution to the contemporary Muslim world is laudable. You are carrying out a tremendous fight against the Munkiran-e-Hadith, the Pervezi group. At this juncture, his master minded book; "Sunnat ki A'yeni Hassiyat" needs translation in English. I wish I could do this marvelous job. I had the intention and book is in front of me. Can anyone do it at your end. It will shut their mouths for good.
* Mullah Omar was a genius and the miracle of 21st century of the Muslim world. He was determined to demonstrate Islam as a political entity in his country. West did not and could not like it and they destroyed his regime on the false pretext of Osama. Obama is carrying out that mission of destruction but history will soon give its verdict and it will be in the favor of Islam, Insha Allah. The Anglo-American forces and their timid diplomacy cannot stop its emergence.
* Thanks for the writings of Paul Crag. It has nicely exposed the shorcomings.of Obama's health plan which is out to serve the vested interest and not of the people as he is claiming day in and day out.
* West must see the writings on the walls of Afghanistan and Pakistan as the old Afghan is watching the poster of Taliban. Both are standing on the same level. The outsiders have to go and the poor insiders will emerge victorious one day, Insha Allah. Allah never likes FASAD and the transgressors always meet their inevitable death at the hands of RIGHT and the oppressed.
*In fact, if you follow their policy and program, the Hizb has no fixed sense of direction or a political agenda for any country as what to do and how to do. They are just using "Khilafah" as a slogan. I had a lot of dialogue with their leadership at different times. I asked them: do you want to establish "Khilafah" before establishing the Islamic system of life. They said "yes." I asked them "where" and they have no answer to it. Leadership Building Program in the context of modern world is missing from their agenda. Now you can well imagine what they are talking: condemning capitalism, Islamic Movements around the world, making "Khilafah" as their war slogan. However some are working very sincerely for THE RESTORATION of Khilafah.

Letter: NT Sept 6 issue: Iftar at White House and "Muslim" Uncle Toms. Jews Blend in and do their Dirty work

When I read about these "Muslims" who have iftar dinners at the White House and break bread with the Israelis it reminds me of a recent conversation I had with an Egyptian brother. He told me that most of the Arab store owners, particularly the Yemenis, are really Jews. He told me that there was such a backlash against the Jews, after Israel was created, that they decided to "blend in" by adopting Muslim names and giving their children Muslim names. He saids that they are in the masjids and hold top positions in Middle Eastern governments. This would not be the first time this has been exposed. I remember the gay "Muslim" group al-Fatiha being exposed as Jews masquerading as Muslims.

I offered him the Boycott Israel brochure but, he said that we should help Israel, even though they do terrible things. I was completely baffled and wanted to ask more but, the classroom break was over and students started to come back in. He stated that his public school teaching job had been taken from him and he was put on the FBI's terrorist list.

Note: He had been declared a paranoid schizophrenic and placed in a homeless shelter for the mentally ill but, he seemed normal to me. It made me wonder if everything he was saying was true.

It certainly is believable. American Jewish actors were instructed by Jewish Hollywood studio bosses to hide their Jewishness by changing their names and maybe even got a nose job like Phyllis Diller or Joan Rivers just to blend in. That seems to be their modus operandi.

I don't know if I will ever see this brother, again, but some of the things he told me were very interesting.

Salaam,
Sis. 'Aisha [New York]
