*Food & Eating Habits According to the Sunnah*
Imaam Ibnul-Qayyim al-Jawziyyah's~{Rahimhullah}
Comprehensive notes covering the most important qualities of
the Prophet (Sallallaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam) in regards to
food & drink.
'It is sufficient for the son of Adam to eat a few
mouthfuls, to keep him going... If he must do that (fill
his stomach), then let him fill one third with food, one
third with drink and one third with air.
FOOD...
[1]: When he put his hand in the food, PROPHET ﷺ
would say... " Bismillah (with the Name of Allaah),'' and
he told people to say this when eating. he said, "When any
one of you eats...let him mention the name of Allah. If he
forgets to mention the name of Allah at the beginning, let
him say... 'Bismillahi fee Awwalihi wa Aakhirihi,' (with
the name of Allah, at it'sbeginning and at its end)."
[2] The correct view is that it is obligatory to mention
the name of Allah (say 'Bismillah') when eating. { The
Ahaadeeth which state this are Sahih (Authentic) and are
clear, with no contradictions in them.}
[3]: When he raised the food to his mouth, PROPHET
ﷺ would say...
"Al-hamdu lillaahi hamdan katheeran tayyiban mubaarakan
feehi, ghayra [makfiyyin wa laa] muwadda'in, wa laa
mustaghnan 'anhu Rabbanaa 'azza wa jall.
Translation: "All praise is to Allah, praise in abundance,
good and blessed. It cannot [be compensated for, nor can it]
be left, nor can it be done without, our Lord."[3]
[3]: he never criticized food at all. If he liked it, he
would eat it, and if he did not like it, he would leave
it and not say anything.
[4] or he would say..."I do not feel like eating
this."
[5]: Sometimes he would praise the food, as when he asked
his family for food, and they said... "We have nothing
but vinegar." he asked for it and started to eat it,
saying... " What good food is Vinegar."
[6]: he used to talk whilst he was eating, as is seen from
the report quoted above about vinegar. And he said to his
stepson, 'Umar Ibn Abee Salamah (Radiyallahu 'Anhu) when he
was eating with him... "Say Bismillah and eat from that
which is in front of you in the dish.''
[7]: He would repeatedly urge his guests to eat, (as
generous hosts do) and as is seen in the hadeeth of ,
[Abu Hurayrah (Radiyallahu 'Anhu), related by
al-Bukharee..]
about the story of drinking milk, where he repeatedly said
to him... "Drink," and he kept telling him to drink until
he (the guest) said..."By the One Who sent you with the
truth, I have no more room for it " !
[8] When he ate with others, he would not leave until he
had made Du'a (supplication) for them. he ﷺ made Du'a
in the house of 'Abdullah Ibn Bishr,(Allah be pleased with
him) and said... " O Allah, bless for them that which You
have provided for them, forgive them and have mercy on
them."
[9]: he commanded people to eat with their right hands and
forbade them to eat with their left hand. *PROPHET*
ﷺsaid ... " The Shaytan eats with his left hand and
drinks with his left hand."
Note: This implies that eating with the left hand is
'Haram' (unlawful), and this is the correct view, because
the one who eats with his left hand is either a Shaytan
(Devil), or he is imitating the Shaytan.
It was also reported in an authentic 'Hadeeth' that he told
a man who was eating with his left hand in his presence...
" Eat with your right hand ! "
The man said, "I cannot." *PROPHET* ﷺ said... " May
you never be able to." and the man never lifted his right
hand to his mouth after that... !
10: he commanded those who complained that they never felt
full to eat together and not separately, and to mention
the name of Allah (say 'Bismillah') over the food so that
he might bless it for them.
[11] : It was also reported that he said... " I do not eat
reclining."
[12]: he used to eat using the first three (3) fingers (of
his right hand), which is the best way of eating .. !
THE PROPHET~(Sallallaahu 'Alayhi wa Sallam)
GUIDANCE REGARDING EATING:
[13]: The Prophet ﷺ used to know what he was
eating. : he used to eat whatever was good for him.: he used
to eat enough to keep him going, but no so much as to make
him fat.
Ibn 'Umar [Allah be pleased with him] related that ..
PROPHET ﷺ said...
"The believer eats in one stomach whilst the disbeliever
eats in seven !"
[14]: He taught his 'Ummah' something to protect them from
diseases caused by eating and drinking.
PROPHET ﷺ ~ said... "The son of Adam does not fill
any vessel worse than his stomach. It is sufficient for the
son of Adam to eat a few mouthfuls, to keep him going.If he
must do that (fill his stomach), then let him fill one third
with food, one third with drink and one third with air."

June 3
An Egyptian policeman entered Israeli occupied territory and
in a clash with Israeli troops killed three and wounded one
before they encircled and killed him.
(Editorial comment: the incident indicates that Egyptians
are quite capable of fighting Israeli troops. Muslims have
large armies but shamefully fight their own people instead
of fighting the occupiers of Palestine. )
China
A video has emerged of China sending a large police force to
get a mosque demolished in Yunnan province.
Crowds of Muslims chanting Allahu Akbar blocked the
demolition attempt.These Muslims are known as Huis.
After putting Uighur Muslims of Xingiang in concentration
camps, China is now going after the Hui Muslims of Yunnan
province.

Syria

Islamic groups did well this week
In eastern lattakia, islamic group fathe mubeen exchanged
heavy gunfire with Bashar's troops killing the Russian
general training special forces.
In a second incident (Irbid border) fathe Mubeen clashed
with a shia force known as Baqer, killing their officer.
On the Deir ez Zor eastern border, ISIS killed an officer of
SDF which is supported by US.
Five troops of a militia supporting Bashar were killed in
an ISIS ambush. (Homs)
Bashar militia known as NDF clashed with Bashar's own troops
near Damascus. Losses not known.
In a large area of eastern Deir ez Zor controlled by Isis,
the Islamic State has published flyers urging women to wear
hijab.
Iran has brought new forces to Mayadeine, including
missiles.
USA has brought more forces to Hasakeh.
Turkey has brought more forces to the northwest.

clashed with police. Fifteen civilians killed

May 26.Al Jazeera reports a human bomber probably from TTP
or ISIS killed 4 including a Pakistan soldier and a
policeman.
Dawn is reporting 2 Pak troops killed near Bannu.
On the border with Iran 3 pak troops killed, probably by
Sunnis fighting Iran.
Ukraine
Numerous missile attacks by Russia. Ukraine only reports
civilian losses.Ukraine is now attacking inside Russia.
China says it's a mistake to keep pumping western weapons
into Ukraine. War will continue. Talks are required.
Sudan
Army is preparing to push RSF out of Khartoum. Fighting is
picking up.

Top Australian Officer Committed Horrific Crimes in Afghanistan

Australia's most-decorated living soldier Ben Roberts-Smith
has lost a historic defamation case against three newspapers
that accused him of war crimes in Afghanistan.
The outlets were sued over articles alleging he killed
unarmed prisoners.
The civil trial was the first time a court has assessed
accusations of war crimes by Australian forces.
A judge said four of the six murder allegations - all denied
by the soldier - were substantially true.
These included:
A handcuffed farmer the soldier had kicked off a cliff - a
fall which knocked out the man's teeth, before he was
subsequently shot dead
A captured Taliban fighter who was shot at least 10 times in
the back, before his prosthetic leg was taken as a trophy
and later used by troops as a drinking vessel
Two murders which were ordered or agreed to by Mr
Roberts-Smith to initiate or "blood" rookie soldiers.

Ijebu Nikkah
Ijebu extraction can be regarded as a sub tribe of Yoruba
race. Ijebu comprises of cities like Ijebu-Ode, Ìjèbú-Igbo,
Agọ-Woye, Oru, Ikorodu, etc , all in Ogun State.
Ijebus are known for partying, and they spend a lot on same.
Infact, there can be hardly a weekend without festivities
for Ijebu people(if it is not naming ceremony, it would be
transition or Fidau for their aged deceased), but without
doubt, Nikkah or Wedding ceremony gulps fortunes from
typical Ijebus.
If you live amongst the Ijebus you may not fully appreciate
their classes of food until when you witness their Nikkah or
Wedding ceremony. All types of food are usually prepared:
Ifokore looks like yam porridge but it can go with eba which
made cassava flake; we have èkuru funfun made of beans but
the process is different from Moimoi, which is also from
beans. Èkuru goes with cold palp. Recall that Ogun state
boarders major coastal States of Lagos and Ondo, which fact
make them so accessible to all kinds of fishes. Ijebu has a
way of making fish as major food in their parties.
Lately Islam is entering all homes of Yorubaland and Ijebu
is not an exception. This makes their Nikkah wearing an
Islamic color as against their known traditional ways. But
mostly, it is more of mixture of traditional ways and
Islamic way which makes it so interesting.

The partners in crime
But Bashar al-Assad is not a lone wolf. He has been joined
by other international wolves like the ruling Shias in Iran
- Basher's ideological cousins. The final and complete
destruction of Syria was accomplished by Vladimir Putin of
Russia. Almost all cities of Syria now stand razed by the
Russian bombers.
The USA too wasn't silent. Its Army bombed the Islamists'
strongholds. Thus, Iran, Russia and the USA worked together
to save Bashar al-Assad. Al-Assad was given the full licence
to commit every crime he wished. The UN too stayed silent
-as if dropping chemical bombs are not any crime as per UN
Chapter. The US and EU leaders showed, they have no problem
with the killer regimes of Syria, Saudi Arabia, Egypt and
Middle Eastern autocrats. They are incompatible only with
the Islamists.
Bashar al-Assad is not the only killer autocrat. The whole
Middle East is infested with such killers. What Bashar
al-Assad did against his own people, the Saudi King Salman,
the Egyptian President al-Sisi, and other Ara b tyrants did
the same against their own people.
Saudi Arabia and UAE conducted a long campaign of
destruction and genocide in Yemen. General Abdul Fatah
al-Sisi removed Dr. Muhammad Morsi -the first elected
President of Egypt. He killed more than one thousand
innocent people in Rabaa al Adawiya square on 14 August
2013. The victims were the unarmed men, women and children
sitting in protest of Morsi's removal. Those who survived
the massacre, were taken to prison for further torture. More
than 70 thousand political activists are languishing in
Egyptians prisons.
If the people of Saudi Arabia, Jordon, UAE, Morocco or any
Arab country come to the streets for their democratic
rights, they will be killed in the same way as Syrians are
being killed by al-Assad.
These fascist Arab rulers are the ideological cousins; so,
it was very difficult for them to stay separated from each
other. So, al-Assad's long separation from the Arab League
was intolerable for them. So, he received a gleeful welcome
in their midst. As if, no crimes were committed by him.
Scores of wolves live in the same forest. These Arab
fascists can also co-exist in the same land of Middle
East.
Human rights, political rights and democratic form of
government have no place in the Middle East. As if, the Arab
people do not deserve those basic human rights. As if, the
Arabs need only stability. Such stability must be ensured
through state-run terrorism and genocidal massacres.
And for such a status quo, there is no substitute for King
Salman, President al-Sisi, al-Assad, and other tyrants. As
animals need foods, drinks, and shelter, the Arabs also need
the same and nothing more than that. For them, modernity
means only high-rise buildings, high-tech weapons, motor
ways, cars, and industries. As if democracy and human rights
are incompatible with such Arab modernity.
Islamists and democrats are labelled as enemies
In all Arab countries, the Islamists and the democrats are
labelled as the enemies of stability. So, they justify their
total and brutal annihilation. The US and the EU support
such annihilation. So, they didn't do anything against the
chemical bomber al-Assad or genocidal killer al-Sissi. But
they dropped thousands of bombs on the Islamists in Syria,
Iraq, and Afghanistan. Saudi Arabia is making peace with its
arch enemy Iran. But is not ready to give any space for its
own compatriots.
Neighbouring Turkey supports some democratic forces in
northern Syria. Turkey gave shelter to more than 3 million
Syrian refugees. None of the neighbouring Arab countries
like Jordan, Iraq and Saudi Arabia give such support to
those Arab refugees. But these Arab tyrants discovered
Ottoman expansionism with such Turkish help. So, they raise
banners of pan-Arabism to oppose Turkey. They also raise the
same banner of Arab nationalism to encounter the Islamic
resurgence and democracy. This way they could successfully
reverse the wave of the Arab Spring. So, the Arab Spring is
now dead in Tunisia (its birthplace), Egypt, Lebanon, Syria.
So, it is a bad day for those who struggle for Islamic
resurgence and work for democratic values. And it is a day
of huge rejoicing for those who are tyrants and genocidal
killers.
The double standard
The US President and his EU cronies lecture on Russian
atrocities in Ukraine. But they advise on keeping silent on
atrocities that are being committed by the brutal regimes of
Israel, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and other Arab countries. They
condemn the Russian annexation of Ukrainian lands but stay
silent on Indian annexation of Kashmir and Israeli
annexation of Palestine. They pursue war on Russia until it
completely vacates Ukrainian territory, but pleads
normalisation of relation with the genocidal killers,
oppressors, and occupiers like Israel and India. Is it
workable to normalise relations with the wolves?
So, the oppressed people are left with no option but to
fight their own war against all injustices and atrocities.
The peace and prosperity of the world entirely depend on
such fighting spirit of the people and not on the whims of
world's immoral thugs. Nothing can be more important than
such a holy war. Human dignity never lies in submission to
thugs, but in war against the thugs. In Islam it is jihad
-the highest ibadah. A just society and civilisation can

After 20 Years Dr. Fowzia met her sister
Aafia in Prison.
Dr. Fowzia Siddiqui, sister of political prisoner Dr. Aafia
Siddiqui, spoke after juma'ah prayers at Valley Ranch Masjid
in DFW. The masjid was filled to capacity, with people
overflowing into the patio areas outside the main hall.
Worshippers were eager to hear this courageous woman who'd
ventured all the way from Pakistan to visit her sister in
one of the most infamous women's prisons in the U.S.
In the brief time Dr. Fowzia was allotted, she spoke about
her visit earlier in the week with her little sister,
unjustly imprisoned at FMC Carswell. Aafia is serving 86
years for ostensibly assaulting and attempting the murder of
7 U.S. servicemen, charges completely unsupported by
forensic and video evidence.

It was a big crowd and they cheered on and on. Even the Dean
cheered,
In her speech, Fatima Musa Mohammed said she wanted to
celebrate CUNY for being one of the few law schools to
defend "the rights of its students to organize and speak out
against Israeli settler colonialism."
"This is the law school that passed and endorsed BDS on a
student and faculty level recognizing that ... as Israel
continues to indiscriminately rain bullets and bombs on
worshipers, murdering the old, the young, attacking even
funerals and graveyards, as it encourages lynch mobs to
target Palestinian homes and businesses as it imprisons its
children ... that our silence is no longer acceptable," she
said.
[The entire Jewish-Israeli power structure is attacking
her.]
Something similar happened to Dr Kaukab Siddique a few years
back, though he spoke off campus. Pro-Israel groups cannot
face criticism. They abuse and insult and urge financial
support to the university be cut off.

Bring the People Together with Kindness.
As Salaamu Alaikum dear Ummah of Muhammad Rasool Allah
(saw).
Slowly, slowly, we shall organize our communities and
organizations. We shall trust all our brothers and sisters
once they have recited "La illa-ha Ill-lah." There are many
in our ranks weak, sick, and poor. It will always be like
that. Let's organize and reorganize with this in mind.
Part of organization is to keep in mind of our weaknesses
and strengths and move forward. Regardless what happens we
shall never shun anyone from our communities and
organizations. Keep each and everyone as part of our
community.
At the same time we shall assess our weaknesses and
strengthen without loosing anyone. Remember, Prophet (saw)
never pushed anyone one out; however, he (saw) never hold on
to anyone who didn't want to be part of the Ummah. There
lies the strength. Today our leadership doesn't understand
it.
If your are familiar with primary mathematics you will
appreciate that two important steps: addition increases our
numbers and multiplication speeds up this process.
Similarly, Subtraction eventually reaches to zero and
division speeds up our distraction.
Never take an argument or criticism as weakness and
agreement and support as strength. We have a long way to go
to organize and develop strength in our ranks. It always
requires mercy and kindness as Allah reminded Prophet
Muhammad (saw): work with them with kindness otherwise they
will run away.

al-Muslimeen document taken from New Trend was given to 84
Muslims after juma salat.
The crowd was big and friendly although it was 93 degrees,
very high for America.
In fact some brothers from Afghanistan helped Br. Kaukab to
park his car because all the parking spaces were full.

Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has said that the economic
crisis and debt burden are due to the ill-conceived policies
of the present and past governments.
On the basis of his experience as former finance minister of
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, he said he believed the country did not
need foreign loans, but what was required was better
governance and durable policies based on the principle of
self-reliance.
While addressing students at Iqra University Islamabad, he
said the PDM government of 14 parties failed to introduce
any reform and public welfare project during its 15 months
in power.
The parties, he added, led the long marches against
inflation before coming to power in April, and now they even
did not utter a single word about the miseries of the people
who were burning in the fire of inflation and
unemployment.
The national exchequer was empty, and the inflation rate
touched 48 per cent, he added.
The government, he said, was desperately looking towards IMF
and friendly countries to form the budget.
He questioned how long the country's economy would be run on
the loans?
The state, he added, must get rid of the corruption and
implement an interest-free economy, plus there was a dire
need for the fair distribution of resources.
