Religious Ruling

 Fatwa

Question from Br. Nadeem Khan in Virginia:
Can a Muslim woman marry a Catholic or Christian man?

By Islamic Law,, would this marriage be considered legal or illegal Please answer this question in the light of Qur'an and Sunnah.

Answer by Dr. Kaukab Siddique. imam of Masjid Jamaat al-Muslimemeen.

A quick answer is that it is HARAAM [strictly forbidden.]
Here is my detailed fatwa:

"Do not marry women who associate others with Allah [mushrikat] until they believe. A slave woman who believes is better than one who associates others with Allah [mushrika] even though she allures you. Nor marry men who associate others with Allah [mushrikeen] until they believe: A male slave who believes is better than one who associates others with Allah [mushrik] even though he allures you. They [associaters] beckon you to the Fire but Allah beckons by His Grace to the Garden [of Bliss] and forgiveness, and makes His Signs clear to mankind that they may receive admonition." [2:221]

Notice the Arabic word in brackets. It is often incorrectly translated as "disbelievers" and "idolaters" although mushrik is one who associates others with Allah.

All interpretations must end when there is a clear Hadith of the Prophet, pbuh, on the issue. He never recommended marriage with non-Muslims. Addressing men, he makes it quite clear that Islamic integrity and faith is the requirement for marriage:

"The messenger of Allah, peace and blessings of Allah be on him, said: Women are married for 4 reasons: for wealth, for family nobility, for beauty and for Deen: You should marry for Deen, otherwise may your hands be rubbed in the dirt." [Narrated by Abu Huraira, r.a., in the Sahih of Bukhari and the Sahih of Muslim.]

Deen is a comprehensive term for piety, knowledge and practice of Islam and Fear of Allah.
Marriage is a central requirement in Islam. Early marriage is strongly recommended.

Random sex and lack of self-respect can by avoided by very early marriage.

Immigrant Muslim women and men are marrying non-Muslims.
Thus we have unstable families where the religious future of the children is uncertain.

The immigrant Muslims use a verse in sura al-Maidah to justify marriage with non-Muslims.

They don't study hadith, so they don't know that the al-Maidah verse was revealed at the end of the Prophet's, pbuh, life. At that time, the non-Muslims would come into an Islamic ethos backed by the entire society.

In a a society where Islam is not dominant, 2:221 applies. A non-Muslim would have the full support of a secular, corrupt society, the children would think adultery and homosexuality are not mortal sins. Even America's presidents support these abominations.

Thousands of men and women have embraced Islam in America. Where should they go if Muslims don't marry them. They know they can't marry non-Muslims.

CONCLUSION: Marriage with non-Muslims is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN. Marry the Muslims. It is an outrage and a shame that they are being ignored.

JI View

Without Rule of Law, nothing can change.
by Qaiser Sharif

Lower Dir: July 23: Jamaat-e-Islami Emir Sirajul Haq has said the politics entered into closed alley due to the policies of the PDM and the PTI.

The ruling parties, he said while addressing a public gathering here on Saturday, were directly responsible to economic and other crises and they must seek public apology on their behavior before the situation turned from bad to worse.

If 35 years of Pakistan were destroyed by the dictators, the so-called democratic government ruined the remaining 35, he said.
The JI chief said the political parties came into power with the backing of the establishment. The practices to steal the public mandate and to impose governments on the basis of liking and disliking backfired every time, he added. The people must be given free and fair choice to elect their leadership, he said, adding only Islamic system could save Pakistan now. He appealed to the masses to reject the tested parties and chose Jamaat-e-Islami to bring real change.

Sirajul Haq said the powerful people broke the law and felt unanswerable to anyone. The corruption was rampant in the absence of any accountability system in Pakistan, he said. It seemed the courts were not feeling it necessary to ask to hold those accountable who looted billions of rupees and stashed their wealth in foreign accounts and shell companies, he said, adding the judiciary's inaction over Panama Leaks and Pandora Papers were the examples of it.

He said the economy was on the verge of collapse due to ill-conceived policies of the incumbent and past governments. The IMF, he said, had virtually taken control of the national economy. He said the decisions about Pakistan were being taken in the closed rooms of Washington.

He said the assemblies turned into horse-trading centers where loyalties of the elected representatives were being purchased with different tactics. How those politicians who involved in the purchasing and selling of the elected representatives could lead the masses, he questioned.
The ruling parties exposed once again and they had been creating embarrassment for Pakistan in all over the world, he said.

On one side, he said, masses were starving to death due to inflation and poverty while on the other side rulers were constantly fighting for protection of self-interest.

The JI chief said Pakistan could not go ahead without establishing rule of law and sustainable and clean democratic process. He said the feudal lords and corrupt imperialists won the election with the power of their wealth. This drama must end now, he said, adding the country and public could no longer afford the dirty practices.

Murder on Highway

AU.S. Marine allegedly stabbed his pregnant ex-wife to death following an argument on a bustling Hawaii highway — even as passersby and commuters hopped out of their own vehicles and desperately tried to stop him.

Dana Alotaibi had opened up about the alleged abuse she'd faced in her marriage on social media before she was murdered on the H-3 Freeway on Wednesday night. Witnesses driving by at the time, several of who stopped in a bid to intervene, told authorities they "observed a male standing over a female, stabbing her multiple times," Deena Thoemmes, homicide lieutenant of the Honolulu Police Department's criminal investigation division said in a press conference on Thursday.

The suspect, identified as Bryant Tejeda-Castillo, then turned the knife on himself before fleeing into a nearby wooded area, according to police.

"The Destruction of the European Jews"
Hilberg's Giant with Feet of Clay

By Jürgen Graf
paperback $19.00
3rd, updated edition of 2022:

This outstanding short study provides a merciless demolition of the central claims of the Holocaust thesis by way of a probing examination of Raul Hilberg's canonical The Destruction of the European Jews. By narrowing his focus to those pages in Destruction that deal directly with the plans, program, methods, and numerical results of the alleged Nazi mass murder of the Jews, Swiss researcher Graf relentlessly exposes the weakness and, often, absurdity of the best evidence for the extermination program, the gas chambers, and anything like the six million death toll. Giant can be devastatingly funny in its deconstruction of Hilberg's flimsy attempts to portray mass gassing and cremation at Auschwitz and Treblinka; its focused brevity makes this book both an excellent introduction and a fine refresher course on the essentials of the revisionist case.

Note: Earlier editions of this book formed Volume 3 of our prestigious series Holocaust Handbooks. However, in May 2021, this third spot in that series was taken over by a newer, more thorough critique of Raul Hilberg's opus magnum authored by Carlo Mattogno (Bungled: "The Destruction of the European Jews"). Jürgen Graf's classic, more concise critique of Hilberg, first published in 1999, has now been re-published in a new, updated edition - outside of that series. Read what other revisionists said about it:

"It was Professor Arthur Butz in his Hoax of the Twentieth Century who proposed the image of the holocaust as a giant with feet of clay. By drawing on the analyses of revisionist historians and incisively pointing out inconsistencies in the documentary, physical and 'eyewitness' testimony, Jürgen Graf finds in the present study that, although the major portion of Raul Hilberg's bench-mark work rests on reliable sources, its title should have been The Persecution of the European Jews rather than The Destruction of the European Jews. Hilberg, by selecting an inaccurate title, has supported Professor Butz' notion that the Holocaust story has feet of clay." —Prof. Dr. Costa Zaverdinos, University of Natal, South Africa, rtd.

"A significant monograph from the indefatigable Jürgen Graf — and yet another contribution to the body of work at the center of holocaust revisionism. That he writes charmingly, too, is an additional dividend." —Andrew Gray, Copy Editor, The Barnes Review

"This book has great educational value provided it is studied rather than merely read. Some may wonder why Raul Hilberg's 40 year old work Destruction of the European Jews today merits a book length critique. The main reasons are that the 'Holocaust' legend has not changed very much in the interim, and that Hilberg presents the subject comprehensively, in a formal academic style that invites critical examination. Graf does likewise. If the reader will take the effort to examine the sources that Hilberg and Graf use, he will derive, first, a reliable presentation of how the 'Holocaust' allegedly transpired and, second, a perhaps shocking revelation of the shoddy evidence that the legend is based on and, third, a specific important application of a good part of the revisionist scholarship of the past quarter century. The reader will then understand the basis for the title chosen for this book." —Prof. Dr. Arthur R. Butz, Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois

Malcolm X Case.
Muhammad Aziz Exonerated after 20 years in Prison.

A man who was exonerated after spending decades in prison in the United States for the 1965 murder of Black civil rights advocate Malcolm X is suing New York City for its role in his wrongful conviction.

Muhammad Aziz's lawyers filed a lawsuit against the city in federal court on Thursday, demanding at least $40m in damages.

"Mr Aziz, a US Navy veteran who served multiple tours of duty, and the father of six young children, was only 26 years old when he was arrested for the murder of Malcolm X," the lawsuit reads.

"He spent 20 years, during what should have been the prime of his life, locked in prison for a crime he did not commit. The damage done to Mr Aziz and his family was immense and irreparable."

Aziz, 84, and his codefendant Khalil Islam, who died in 2009, were exonerated in November 2021, with the judge who vacated their conviction calling it a "serious miscarriages of justice".

At the time, then-Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Jr apologised for what he called "serious, unacceptable violations of law and the public trust".

Islam's estate also filed a similar lawsuit against New York City on Thursday.

Aziz, Islam and a third defendant, Mujahid Abdul Halim, were convicted in 1966, but historians have long cast doubt about the case. Halim, who was released from prison in 2010, confessed to the murder but maintained the innocence of the other two men.

The case was reopened in 2020 after the release of a Netflix docuseries, Who Killed Malcolm X.

Aziz sued New York state over the wrongful conviction late last year; that lawsuit was settled for $5m in April, according to the New York Times.

As-Salaam Alaikum Wa-Rahmatullahi Wa-Barakatuhu'.

It is related from Abu Hurairah~(Allah be pleased with him ) reported ---

that the Messenger of Allah
[may Allah bless him and grant him peace] said...

A man said, 'I must give some 'Sadaqah,' and went out with his 'Sadaqah', putting it in the hand of a Thief {!}

The next day people said he had given 'Sadaqah' to a Thief !

he said, 'O Allah, praise is Yours.
I will again give 'Sadaqah'.

so, he went out with his 'Sadaqah' and this time put it in the hand of an Adulteress{!}

The next day people said that he had
given 'Sadaqah' in the night to an Adulteress !

he said ,' O Allah, praise is yours
I gave it to an adulteress, I will give more 'Sadaqah'.

he went out with his 'Sadaqah' and put it
in the hand of a Rich Man !

The next day people said he had given 'Sadaqah' to a rich man !

he said, 'O Allah, praise is Yours. I have given Sadaqa to a Thief , an Adulteress, and a Rich man.'!

Then someone came and said to him---
'Your 'Sadaqah' to a Thief might make him abstain from stealing'!

'What you gave to the Adulteress might make her abstain from fornication'.

'And what you gave to the rich man might make him reflect so that he will spend out from what Allah has given him'.

Hadith of the Week

Narrated Al-Bara, r.a:
The Prophet (ﷺ) ordered us to do seven (things) and forbade us from seven (other things): He ordered us to pay a visit to the sick, to follow funeral possessions, to say: May Allah be merciful to you to a sneezer, - if he says: Praise be to Allah

To accept invitation (invitation to a wedding banquet), to return greetings, to help the oppressed, and to help others to fulfill their oaths (provided it was not sinful). And he forbade us from seven (things): to wear golden rings or golden bangles, to wear silk (cloth), Dibaj, Sundus and Mayathir.

 Palestine

Poorly Armed Palestinians Resisting.

Israeli soldiers shot, Sunday dawn, nine Palestinians, including one who was shot with a live round in the head, after Israeli soldiers invaded the Old City of Nablus, in the northern part of the occupied West Bank.

Medical sources said three Palestinians suffered moderate wounds, one was shot in the head and is in critical condition, and at least five suffered mild-to-moderate injuries.

All the wounded Palestinians were shot with live rounds before the medics rushed them to Rafidia Hospital in Nablus.

They added that the medics had to take alternate and longer routes to reach the invaded areas after the army blocked many streets and refused to allow them to cross.

The Quds News Network said the attacks occurred when dozens of soldiers invaded the Old City, especially the al-Yasmina neighborhood, leading to protests before the army fired a barrage of live rounds, rubber-coated steel bullets, and gas bombs.

An Israeli army spokesperson said the soldiers invaded Nablus's Old City to arrest Palestinians before Palestinian fighters exchanged fire with them.

The Palestinians used loudspeakers of several mosques calling for blood donations at the hospital and asking to help the families in the invaded areas.

 Remember Prisoners

[A mother grieves for her innocent Palestinian son who is in US prison.]

The Eyes that Grieve

This Eid seems different than every Eid
The grass is a little longer with a touch of dryness
The air pressure pounds heavily on people's chests
Breathing, in itself, has become a chore
Children's voices are muffled between the loud sirens
The rain seems to come in a rush and gushes through our half opened window
The wind whips the leaves whirling them in a distance
The sighs of humans have created too much fog on my windshield
More people I know have died
Showing one that life is very short
Gone in a blink of an eye
Coyotes howl louder nearby more than ever
I lie in bed with my eyes open wide
Staring for hours at the barren ceiling that has cracked
No one knows why I sit in solitude
Why the very interruption of my thoughts is a crime
I live in the past when you were crawling next to me
When you used to caress my hair to fall asleep
And story after story I read to you
Between my arms I rocked you to sleep
You've grown
You've grown in jail
Little does one know when one conceives what destiny might await them
Looking at your little face that never knew but grief
Grief entangled like wet hair on a round brush
Now I understand why the thinking man froze in history
Why the pine trees throw their acorns
Why the sun sometimes is reluctant to rise
And the moon shies away behind thick clouds with shades of gray
Now I know why the rivers flow in a hurry
Why the mountains are mantled in their places
And why man has become uglier than beast
I learned that the world is full of evil
Greedy people wait like hyenas
I know now not to ask other than God
And to Him I prostrate longing for Him to free my son
For God has promised that on the Day of Judgment
The eyes that grieve shall no longer grieve
The eyes that grieve shall no longer grieve
