Latest Khutba

 Latest Khutba

Errors by imams which Evade Sunnah and help the oppressors.

On August 27, Br. Kaukab Siddique gave the juma khutba at masjid Jamaat al-Muslimeen in Baltimore.

Here are the main points of the khutba for distribution online:

Text: ... No bearer of burdens shall bear the burden of another.... [Sura 17: 15]

  1. In his khutbas the Prophet, pbuh, after praising Allah and reciting the Qur'an, always urged Muslims to beware of the enemies of Islam. A khutba which does not make Muslims aware of the issues of the day is violating the Sunnah.

  2. Political and conflict issues must be included in a khutba. Non-political khutbas violate Islam.

  3. Sura 62, juma, commands all Believers to come to juma prayers. Most imams think juma prayers are not required of women. Thus they have reduced the ummah by 50%.

  4. One hadith which recommends.prayers at home for women was meant for one woman who was sad she could not go to the mosque owing to lack of prayer clothing and distance from mosque.

  5. Most imams follow Schools of Thought. This too has divided the ummah. Qur'an and hadith are meant for all Muslims. Direct learning is required.

  6. Hanafi, Maliki, Shafai, Jafari, Hanbali etc schools of thought did not exist in the times of the Prophet, pbuh, nor in the times of the sahaba nor in the times of the tabba tabain (generation after sahaba)

  7. Sura 9 verse 100 gives highest position to muhajerin and ansar and those who follow them School of thought are not relevant.

  8. After the Prophet, pbuh, no one is equal to the sahaba.

  9. Imams Abu Hanifa, Malik, shafai, Jafar, Hanbal, Bukhari did not set up schools of thought.

  10. These schools of thought were set up by the students. They agreed not to criticize the.kings and caliphs. So the Islam they teach is truncated and incomplete.

  11. The imams themselves stayed away from the rulers and in fact sometimes were seriously victimized by the rulers.

  12. Notice that today dictators and tyrants are not challenged by the leaders of the Schools of Thought.

  13. Alhamdulillah Muslims are steadily moving towards direct contact with Qur'an and Sunnah.

  14. Look at the great victories of the Taliban, alhamdulillah.
May Allah forgive our sins and shortcomings.

Strange connection to Red Mosque in Islamabad.

[Excerpted from Tehran Times. Research by Mobeen Mir, Islamabad Policy Institute.

A recent report published by the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has alarmed both Islamabad and Beijing.

The report confirms the presence of 6,000 insurgents of the banned militant group Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Afghanistan. In addition to revealing that TTP maintains ties with the Afghan Taliban, it adds that there are hundreds of anti-Beijing Muslim radicals inside war-torn Afghanistan. TTP's links with the Afghan Taliban do not come as a surprise because both militant groups are ethnically Pushtuns and ideologically aligned, both stress the implementation of an intolerant version of Sharia and more importantly, they both have once pledged their loyalty to Mullah Omar. But the possibilities of anti-Beijing militants establishing ties with other insurgents in Afghanistan can have serious repercussions for Islamabad-Beijing ties.

A question arises why China and its interests could be a primary target of TTP? A possible answer to this question can be traced back to the siege of Islamabad's Lal Masjid (Red Mosque) in July 2007. Many believed that then-President Pervez Musharraf was pressured by China to use force against the administration of the mosque. Western media had also tried to develop a connection between the Lal Masjid operation and an alleged Chinese role played in it. In its response, TTP was established in December 2007, with an eight-point charter, emphasizing the enforcement of Sharia law in Pakistan, to launch jihad (holy war) against the foreign troops in Afghanistan, and to carry out "defensive" jihad against Pakistan military.

Israel's role

While the Taliban recently captured U.S. military equipment valued at billions of dollars, "It's unlikely that the Taliban got their hands on the Israeli-made systems that hunted them for so long."
By Josh Plank, World Israel News

Israeli weapons systems have been used by several Western coalition nations during the 20-year war against the Taliban in Afghanistan, the Jerusalem Post reported Tuesday.
Israeli-made military equipment, including drones and missiles, were used by countries like the United Kingdom, Germany, Canada, and Australia.

While the Taliban recently captured U.S. military equipment valued at billions of dollars, "It's unlikely that the Taliban got their hands on the Israeli-made systems that hunted them for so long," the report said, due to the Canadians, Brits, and Germans having ended their fight several years ago.

The Spike NLOS (Non Line Of Sight) missile, produced by Rafael Advanced Defense Systems, was one of the weapons used against the Taliban by British and Canadian forces in Afghanistan.

BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Charging documents reveal gruesome new details in the case of a 28-year-old woman charged in the deaths of her two children.

A judge ordered that Jamerria Hall be held without bond as she waits for the next steps in her case. She has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder after her children were found dead Tuesday in their Southwest Baltimore apartment.

According to charging documents, Hall "drowned and strangled" her daughter six-year-old Da'neria Thomas.

According to the charging documents, when a maintenance worker went to check on their apartment after someone complained about an odor, Da'neria was found "lying face up in the bathtub with an apparent clothing object wrapped around her neck."

According to the documents, her brother, eight-year-old Davin Thomas, was found in a sleeping bag and when a forensic examiner turned him over, a large knife was in the right side of his chest. A trash bag was around his face and neck.

Police said their bodies were decomposing.
Investigators said at least one person saw the mom and children last Thursday but then screams were heard coming from the apartment that same night and someone yelled, "Mommy, no!"

According to the documents, Hall spoke with her mother earlier this week and told her mother that the children were taken by their father, but the dad said he hadn't seen the kids.

Hall had legal troubles in the past. In 2018, Hall was accused of setting fire to a home while her children were with her.

Hall once recorded a podcast where she appeared to reference the joys and struggles of motherhood.

"Y'all been driving me crazy, but I love y'all," Hall said in a melodic tone. A young person responded by saying, "I love you too."

Hall has been charged with two counts each of first-degree murder, first-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

Hall is being represented by the public defender's office. Debbie Levy with the public defender's office requested a competency evaluation and the judge granted the request. Hall is being held without bond.

Hackers Bring out Iran's Mistreatment of Prisoners.

Iran prisons chief apologises over leaked videos of Evin abuse

media captionCCTV footage, leaked by hackers, shows mistreatment inside Iran's notorious Evin prison

The head of Iran's prison service has apologised after hackers leaked videos showing the abuse of detainees at Tehran's notorious Evin prison.

The hackers released security footage showing guards beating prisoners and dragging one along a floor.

On Tuesday, Prisons Organisation chief Mohammad Mehdi Haj-Mohammadi said he took responsibility for the "unacceptable behaviour".

Many political prisoners and dual and foreign nationals are held at Evin.

BBC Persian's Jiyar Gol says the leaked videos confirm decades of reports of mistreatment and abuse at prisons across Iran.

However, our correspondent adds, former political prisoners say the footage is nothing compared to what they experienced in detention. They accuse authorities of routinely using sexual, physical and psychological torture - a charge Iran's government denies.

The surveillance footage released by a hacking group called Edalat-e Ali (Ali's Justice) shows several guards beating a man in handcuffs, as well as a fight between a guard and another man in uniform.

In another video, an elderly man is seen collapsing in a car park before guards approach and begin dragging him along the floor through the prison. At one point, a Muslim cleric steps over the man as he lies in a stairwell.

Other footage shows guards at Evin's control room reacting as the phrase "cyber-attack" appears in Persian on screens in front of them.

The hacked screens also show a message reading: "Evin Prison is a stain of shame on Raisi's black turban and white beard" - a reference to Iran's new president, who is a hardline cleric and former judiciary chief.

On Tuesday, Mr Haj-Mohammadi apologised publicly to Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and the country for the abuses seen in the videos.

"I accept responsibility for such unacceptable behaviour and pledge to try to prevent any repeat of these bitter events and to deal seriously with the wrongdoers," he tweeted.

R. Kelly in court
What Rich men do to Women in America.

[BBC]

A second accuser took the stand at R. Kelly's sex-trafficking trial on Monday, testifying that the star abused her, knowingly infected her with herpes and ordered her to have an abortion.

The woman, identified as Jane Doe No 5, said her five-year relationship with Mr Kelly began in 2014, when she was 17.

She alleged that the singer sought to control every detail of her life and would punish her if she did not comply.

Mr Kelly, 54, has denied the allegations against him.

His lawyers have portrayed his accusers as groupies out for revenge after their relationships with the R&B singer faded.

R. Kelly accuser tells court of alleged abuse

The history of allegations against R. Kelly

The anonymous woman, now 23, testified that she had met the singer, whose real name is Robert Kelly, when he invited her to his hotel room after a gig in Orlando, Florida.

She had hoped to audition for him, but the star would not let her proceed until he performed a sex act on her.

"I just wanted to sing," she told the court. "I genuinely wanted his input."

Mr Kelly continued to pressure her, saying he would "take care of me for life" if she acquiesced, she said. The woman, who told Kelly she was 18, eventually relented.

A court artist's sketch of R. Kelly

The star, best known for hits like I Believe I Can Fly and Ignition (Remix), denies all charges

After their first encounter, she said they began a relationship and Kelly invariably videotaped their sexual encounters.

Mr Kelly made her adhere to a strict set of rules, she claimed. If she did not obey, the singer "chastised" her - sometimes spanking her hard enough to make her "skin tear", she told jurors.

The physical abuse occurred "nearly every two to three days", she said, her voice breaking with emotion.

When she finally told Mr Kelly she was under age, he slapped her but allowed her to remain in his life, she added.
Herpes infection

At one point, the woman said he "purposely gave me something he knew he had", herpes. Mr Kelly's longtime physician previously testified that the star has suffered from herpes for more than a decade.

The woman also told the court how, after she became pregnant in 2017, Kelly urged her to get an abortion she didn't want.

"He said, 'You need to look into that abortion stuff because you need to keep that body,'" she said.

She is due to face cross-examination from the singer's lawyers on Tuesday, the fifth day of his trial.

Last week, the jury heard testimony from the trial's first witness, Jerhonda Pace, who said she started a sexual relationship with Mr Kelly when she was 16.

Both women have claimed the star forced them to call him "Daddy" and described how he ruled their lives - telling them what to wear, who they could speak to, and whether they could eat or use the toilet.

Mr Kelly has not been charged with sex crimes related directly to the women's testimony. Instead, he faces a racketeering charge that paints him as the kingpin of a criminal enterprise whose explicit purpose was "to prey upon young women and teenagers" for sexual purposes.

He has pleaded not guilty to all charges.

Invitation to Think

 Invitation to Think

When America won.
Imagine how ordinary Taliban were treated. Here is how the Taliban ambassador was treated.

My Life with the Taliban by Abdul Salam Zaeef. 1967. Columbia University Press. 331 pages. [Translated from Pashtu]

.How did Americans and their Pakistani allies treat Taliban after 9.11. Here are quotes from the autobiography of Mullah Zaeef. He was the ambassador of the Taliban government in Islamabad. Mistreatment of an ambassador is unheard of in Muslim history. Zaeef had not hurt anyone. He was not part of any conspiracy to hurt America.

The Pakistanis "arrested" him and handed him over to the Americans who brutally beat him and stripped him of his clothes. Much later he spent 4 years in Guantanamo Bay.

" The Pakistani soldiers were all staring as the Americans hit me and tore the remaining clothes off from my body. Eventually I was completely naked, and the Pakistani soldiers - the defenders of the holy Qur'an - shamelessly watched me with smiles on their faces, saluting this disgraceful action of the Americans. They held a handover ceremony with the Americans right in front of my eyes." p.173

He was taken on several helicopter trips. After the helicopter landed "... a number of soldiers beat and kicked me. They behaved like animals for what seemed like hours. Afterwards the soldiers sat on top of me and proceeded to have a conversation, as if they were merely sitting on a park bench....."

The ambassador, Zaeef was put in a cage, "A soldier entered and handcuffed me to the bars of the cage.'

" I was forced to kneel with my hands behind my head for several hours; from time to time the soldier would kick or push me to the ground '' [p.181

"Some abuses were worse than others and affected everyone in the camp. One afternoon I woke up to the sound of men crying. All over the camp you could hear the men weep. I asked Mohommed Nawab what had happened. He said that an [American] soldier had taken the holy Qur'an and had urinated on it and then dumped it into the trash. We had been given a few copies of the Quran by the Red Cross, but now we asked them to take them back. We could not protect them from the soldiers who often used them to punish us. The Red Cross promised that incidents like this would not be repeated, but the abuses carried on. The search dogs would come and sniff the Quran and the soldier would toss copies to the ground."

[P183]

He gives details of life in Guantanamo Bay, with constant efforts by the Americans to break the self-respect of the prisoners. They insulted and abused the Qur'an so much that the prisoners returned the Qur'ans they had received,

Narrated by Anas, r.a.:
Allah's Apostle said,
"Help your brother whether he is an oppressor or an oppressed,"
A man said,"O Allah's Apostle!
I will help him if he is oppressed, but if he is an oppressor,
how shall I help him?"
The Prophet said,"By preventing him from oppressing (others),

 Islamic Thought

Best aspect of Worship
by Imam Badi Ali

{Great news from Islamic Center of the Triad, North Carolina. 30 year old Sean D'Souza embraced Islam. The ceremony can be viewed on You Tube.]

As-slamu alaikum,

Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) was quoted as saying about the importance of Sujood:

The servant is nearest to his (Rabb) during prostration (Sujood), so increase your prayers therein.

(Sahih Muslim)

If you knew how powerful your sujood is, you will never lift your head off!

Turn each anxiety, fear and concern into dua. See it as another reason to be in Sujood, the position in which you are closest to Allah.

To elevate your mood, stay longer in Sujood.

O Allah, help me remember You, to be grateful to You, and to worship You in an excellent manner. Ameen

 Palestine

Terrible brutality against 15-year old.

Dear Kaukab --

15-year-old Tareq Z. survived an incredibly brutal attack from Israeli settlers last week. The settlers pursued and struck him with their car, chained him to the hood, hung him in a tree by his wrists, burned the bottoms of his feet, and beat him for more than an hour and a half—until he lost consciousness.

Tareq shared his story with us, which I invite you to watch by clicking the picture below. Though he survived the attack, he is still unable to walk.

Israeli settlers violently attack Palestinian children and families on a daily basis. While they are civilians, Israeli settlers are issued firearms by the Israeli government and many subscribe to ultra-nationalistic beliefs that manifest in extreme violence towards Palestinians, including children.

It is rare for charges to be filed and even rarer for Israeli settlers to be convicted for violence or offenses against Palestinians. Without international pressure on Israeli authorities, it is unlikely any of Tareq's attackers will ever be held accountable.

Please share Tareq's story far and wide, including with your elected officials. He is very brave to share his story publicly after being brutalized, and we all must work to make his story known.

In solidarity,
Ayed Abu Eqtaish

 Uyghurs

Will anyone help UIghur Muslims?
Thousands of mosques liquidated

In a bid to consolidate its influence and power in Xinjiang, given the Uyghur Muslims' contested histories based on culture, separatism and occasional violent extremism, Beijing began a 'cultural aggression' towards the Uyghurs through the 2014 'Strike Hard Campaign'.[4] Under this campaign, Xi advocated using the "weapons of the people's democratic dictatorship" without "any hesitation or wavering'" and to disregard rights violations against Muslims in the province.[5] An estimated one million Muslims were sent to detention camps for forced re-education and political indoctrination.[6] In 2017, following the BRI's inclusion in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) constitution, Xi called for the building of a "great wall of iron"[7] to protect China's national unity and solidarity in the troubled Xinjiang province. This announcement prompted Beijing to escalate its authoritarianism, consolidate its territorial control, and minimise security threats in Xinjiang.

Beijing also used the BRI to 'replicate' its Xinjiang model of demographic changes, socioeconomic exploitation of indigenous resources, and surveillance methods in Pakistan and Central Asia to varying degrees.[8]

At the same time, Western democracies took an uncompromising stand on China's actions against its Uyghur Muslim minorities. In the final year of Donald Trump's presidency, the US enacted a series of measures, including the imposition of broad and targeted economic sanctions against senior CCP officials, banning imports from Xinjiang that were the products of forced labour, and declaring the CCP's repressive policies against Uyghurs as "genocide".[9] However, all major Muslim countries[a] remained silent on the issue, and some even endorsed Beijing's actions.[10] Many Muslim countries also detained Uyghur exiles and repatriated them to China.[11]

Looking beyond Beijing's mercantilist ideology, the paper attempts to highlight the causes of the silence from the Muslim world on the Uyghur issue. These include the authoritative regimes in many Muslim countries, their human rights records,[12] China's non-intervention policy, and Beijing's perception management through the Chinese Islamic Association. This paper also analyses the CCP's diplomatic strategies in various Muslim countries. Crucially, it seeks to evaluate the ramifications of the Muslim world's silence due to Beijing's strategic heft on the western democratic world.

CCP and Uyghur Muslims: A Brief History

Xinjiang has experienced intermittent phases of autonomy and occasional independence, with the Chinese imperial powers having complete control for only about 425 years.[13] Xinjiang was incorporated as a new province of the Chinese Empire in 1878 after the Qing rulers conquered it in the eighteenth century. At the time of the 1949 Revolution, Xinjiang was independently ruled under the East Turkestan Republic, with a contested history and centrifugal tendencies.[b]

After getting firm control over Xinjiang, the CCP announced a new policy to culturally homogenise the region by introducing the communist doctrine of 'togetherness' of all societies into a 'whole unit' across China. The minority populations of Tibet and Xinjiang became the primary target for social cohesion and Sinicisation. During the Cultural Revolution (1966-1976), CCP cadres attacked the customs, ideas and habits of Xinjiang natives, especially those who showed centrifugal tendencies and belonged to a different culture. Mao Zedong's wife Jiang Qing considered these people as "foreign invaders and aliens".[14] By 1966, authorities were urged to close mosques, disperse religious associations, abolish Quranic studies, and ban interfaith marriages and circumcisions.[15] Before 1949, Xinjiang had 29,545 mosques; following the Cultural Revolution, only 1400 remain functional.[16] .

Haitian Muslim Baptiste writes. He was trapped by an informant.

" I am a 26-year old Salafi Muslim of Haitian descent. Born Samuel Baptiste yet I am known by and prefer to be called Abdul Jalil Rashid. al-Imarah.

I embraced Islam at the age of 17 after the death of a close friend and role model which caused me to embark on a quest for guidance on matters relating to Akhirah. "

Br. Abdul Jalil writes that he was striving for da'wa in the small Haitian Muslim community. from 2012 to 2016 when he helped poor Muslims devastated by hurricane Mathew in October 2016. He adds that : "The FBI admits to targeting me for surveillance due to my views since April 2014."

Informants were sent to follow him. One of them, a woman feigned Islam and was looking for marriage. She claimed to be escaping from Syria and was on the Internet, divulging information about "extremism."

Finally. a crime was manufactured against Abdul Jalil by having their undercover hide contraband in a shipping container containing relief supplies destined for Haiti. "Due to ineffective counsel, I plead guilty to lesse charges. Two years from my arrest i'm re-indicted on additional false charges dealing with 'shared' literature in the form of posts not authored by me, on the Internet."

He will be going to trial very soon. The brother needs help, by way of raising awareness of his plight, by social media campaign, by providing funds for legal services, or donations or, or letters to the judge or simply appearing in solidarity in court.
