Hadith of the Week

Abdullah ibn Mas'ud reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, "You must be truthful. Verily, truthfulness leads to righteousness and righteousness leads to Paradise. A man continues to be truthful and encourages honesty until he is recorded with Allah as truthful. And beware of falsehood. Verily, falsehood leads to wickedness and wickedness leads to the Hellfire. A man continues tell lies and encourages falsehood until he is recorded with Allah as a liar."

How the Crafty Mullahs of Iran were Fooled by Bashar Assad & America.
The Rise and Fall of Shiism

by Kaukab Siddique, PhD

On August 27, Dr. Ibrahim Yazdi passed away. Hardly anyone remembers him now though during the rule of the Shah of Iran he led Iranian students in America in constant protest and rallies against the tyrant.

I had the honor of talking to him. When Imam Khomeini overthrew the Shah through a popular mass uprising, Yazdi became his interpreter and his voice to the world. America opposed the Imam right from the beginning. I used to rebut the anti-Iran and anti-Imam propaganda as editor of a widely distributed magazine titled Islamic Revolution.

With the help of one of Dr. Yazdi's closest associates I was able to interview Imam Khomeini first in Qum and then in Tehran. Some of this material was published in my book titled Khomeini's Iran.

The original leadership of the revolution was decimated by terrorists working for western powers. But for the love the masses had for the Imam,, the revolution would have collapsed. However the new ,leadership was Shi'a in the old style sectarianism. There was a parting of ways between the open minded groups supporting Yazdi and the sincere but rigid new Shia leadership. I thought there was still hope for revolutionary forces under as long as Imam Khomeini was alive. So I left Yazdi's people and continued to support the Imam. During the Iraq-Iran war I was solidly with Iran and visited the horrific war fronts to report on Iraqi aggression [which was supported by the Arab regimes and America.]

Unfortunately I found to my dismay that Ayatollah Montazeri, the obvious successor to the Imam, had been removed in an internal coup. The new Iran was emerging as solidly Shia [in the sectarian sense]. There were a few years of nationalism but the surge of Shia doctrine gradually submerged it.

In 1982, the people of Hama rose against the Syrian tyrant Hafez al-Assad. The regime sealed off all news of its atrocities and destroyed Hama, building casinos where there had been mosques. I was in Iran at that time and noticed that there was hardly a ripple of concern about Hama, with only a paragraph of the news of Hama in Tehran Times.

Gradually the regime inside became more and more tyrannical. Azam Taleghani, the daughter of one of the founders of the revolution, Ayatollah Taleghani, who had suddenly and strangely died, was protesting the increasingly restrictive policies of the regime. I complained to some of the authorities about how she was being treated and was told not to speak out otherwise I might be arrested.

Iran after the revolution had an intensely anti-American culture. During parades, the troops would march over the American flag draped on the street. "Murg bur Amrika" was such a popular slogan that every Iranian child chanted it.

After Khomeini, the crafty Mullahs who took over completely, started sneaky connections with America. They supported, very carefully, the American invasion of Afghanistan. The deadly sanctions imposed on Iraq were supported by Iran all the way. The Iraqi air force sought shelter in Iran to evade the deadly American assault and the air force was seized by the Iranians.

By that time I was fiercely against the sanctions on Iraq.

Bashar Assad, the new tyrant of Syria, a clever supporter of Israel and America, insidiously fooled the Iranians into thinking that he had given up his traditional Alawite [Nusairi[ sect and had become a regular Shia. The Syrian regime had carried out massacres of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon [where Syria had an occupation army]. When Israel attacked Syria, the Syrian forces collapsed rapidly in the Six Day war. After that Syria never fired a shot at Israel.

When the western powers ordered Syria to get out of Lebanon, it hastened to get out. The Assad regime convinced Iran and Hizbullah in Lebanon that with the help of Syria, a Shiite empire would emerge all the way from Tehran through Damascus to Beirut.

Assad kept up a steady stream of propaganda to indicate that kit wanted to "liberate" Palestine. In the meantime, America was sending people to Syria to be tortured. The case of Arar [of Canada] is well known.

When a popular uprising broke out against Assad, Iran supported Assad. Mujahideen from all ovder the world went to Syria to stop the horrendous massacres of Syria's unarmed people by the regime's death squads. Assad claimed that the western powers were trying to overthrow him!
The mujahideen who had fought in Afghanistan and Iraq against America organized, trained and armed thousands of Syrians. They helped the defectors from Assad's army to stop the massacres.

When Assad started wobbling owing to the waves of uprising across Syria, the regime appealed to Iran and Hizbullah for help. The plea was that the dream of the Shia empire would fail and Palestine would not be liberated.
[Remember that during Israeli invasions of Gaza, Hizbullah did NOTHING.]

Hizbullah sent in several thousand of its best forces but it could not change the situation and started suffering casualties.

Assad was wobbling again. That's when Iran came in with weekly shipments of weapons, huge financial help and finally Revolitionary Guards and artillery. Iran suffered heavily for Assad, including the death of senior officers.

Within the mujahideen groups too changes took place. Owing to unthinkable atrocities by the Assad regime, the people wanted a powerful response and retaliation. This came in the shape of the Islamic Caliphate which united Syria with Iraq.

The Islamic Caliphate took over half of Syria and parts of Iraq. Again the Assad regime started wobbling. The IS forces executed several hundred Assad forces as criminals who committed genocide against the Syrian people.

The Syrian regime was again near collapse despite heavy Iranian support. That's when Russia came in to save Assad and started the daily bombing of the Islamic forces on a scale which was not possible for Assad.

To understand American-Israeli strategy, we must note that at all three interventions, America did not protest, even formally.

Hizbullah. Iran. Russia: All three are supposed to be opponents of America. Not a word against their intervention.

America took advantage of these interventions to enter Syria from the north east to attack the Islamic State. It has created a force under its control, made out of Kurdish Communists and Kurdish nationalists. The US air force is bombing the Islamic State on a daily basis, leading the Kurds to the capital of of the Islamic State. America has gone to the extent of bombing the women and children of the Islamic State who had fled al-Raqqa to seek refuge in Mayadein [south east Syria].

In Iraq, the Shia regime and America and Iran are collaborating big time with each other. There is no mystery or conspiracy in Iraq. USA has a well established military base in Erbil and a huge air base in Anbar province. In Mosul, American special forces and "advisers" were embedded with the Shia armada.

Imam Khomeini taught that the slightest cooperation with America meant the death of the revolution. Shiism has reached its nadir.

Syria

Heaviest Fighting Yet East of Hama. Russians Killed but Air force inflicts heavy IS losses. US bombs Raqqa Again. Hizbullah-Assad Tank Column advancing Towards Deir ez zor. Around Damascus regime uses Missiles & Artillery.
The mystery of IS evacuation with Hizbullah agreement. This is what happened.

August 27-September 3

Heavy clashes between Russian-Hizbullah-Alawite forces vs Islamic State forces.

Islamic State advanced and captured western Uqayribat town and two villages, inflicting scores of casualties on Hizbullah. The dead and wounded include Russian troops.

However the latest is that the Russian air force went on a bombing spree killing about 100 IS fighters. It carried out 50 air strikes, forcing IS to retreat. The Russians also bombed civilian areas killing 40 civilians including 7 children and 7 women. Another 100 civilians were injured. With heavy Russian bombing, Hizbullah is advancing again east of Hama.

Meanwhile SDF Kurds supported by the US Special Forces and air strikes are trying to advance WITHIN al-Raqqa, the IS capital. In the latest US "coalition" air raids, 23 civilians have been killed in Raqqa, including 11 children and 3 women.

A Hizbullah-Iranian-Russian tank and artillery column is advancing towards Deir ez Zor [southeaster Syria] where an Alawite garrison has been besieged by IS for a long time.

All around Damascus the Assad regime is launching missiles and shooting heavy artillery in the hope of making civilian life impossible. Rahman Corp, Jaysh al-Islam, IS, al-Nusra and FSA are holding various sectors but life is becoming worse every day. Palestinian seculars are supporting Assad against Palestinian Islamics in the Yarmouk area.

Much confusion has been generated by Hizbullah letting IS elements from the area they had on the Lebanese-Syrian border to leave peacefully for the IS stronghold of Mayadein [deep south eastern Syria]. Observers forgot that Hizbullah tried to remove IS militarily but failed. It then tried a tactic to avoid further losses. IS had their families with them and were determined to resist. Hizbullah claimed that Lebanon wants the bodies of 6 of its soldiers killed in fighting IS and al-Nusra and Iran wants the body of its soldier. So the IS fighters and their families were allowed to leave in exchange for the bodies. . Halfway through their journey, USA objected to the deal and bombed the roadway. Thus the convoy was stuck in the center of Syria. Hizbullah says the agreement should not be thwarted by the US. The IS families meanwhile, some of them, have left the stranded buses and moved by private cars sent by IS.

It appears that Hizbullah's politics with Lebanon's government has something to do with this deal. The Hizbis could not defeat IS in battle, so decided to do Lebanon a favor by getting the bodies of its dead.

Somalia
Al-Shabab Temporarily Captured US-backed Military Base.

September 3. Al-Shabab fighters, said to be affiliated to al-Qaida, smashed their way into a regime military base 30 miles from the port city of Kismayo. There were heavy regime losses which the regime covered up by saying "more than" ten of its troops were killed.

This is how al-Shabab reported it on its radio:

"The Mujahedeen fighters took control of Bulogadud; there were many enemy deaths and three technical vehicles were looted," a brief statement on a pro-Shabaab website said, citing the group's Andalus radio.

[Earlier the US reported that "dozens" of its elite 101st Air Borne division troops were helping the regime.

Marawi, Philippines
More than 100 days of Fighting. ISIS Gaining Prestige in the Far East

September 1. Filipino troops with air support tried to advance on Eid day in Marawi but were beaten back by the Islamic fighters. The New York Times reports that 3 government troops were killed and 52 injured in the latest clash.

The entire population of Marawi has been displaced by the fighting. More than 300,000 people are in refugee camps.

The city has been flattened by the air force and artillery. A small mujahideen group is holding on to a small area of the city. ISIS is reported to be providing them with supplies, and Muslims in the entire region are fascinated by the mujahideen's ability to take on great odds.

IRAQ
Shia Armada Getting Ready to hit Hawija. Most IS evaded the attack on Tal Afar. US Air Force busy Hunting IS all over Iraq.

September 2. An IS unit hit a power plant near Samarra.
September 3. A tribal check point supporting the regime came under attack at Baghdad. There are daily attacks on Baghdad..

The defenders of Tal Afar left the city, fought a ferocious battle with the regime in the desert and retreated in good order to three towns held by IS in Anbar province and to Hawija.

The regime is producing a stream of disinformation telling IS supporters that IS is finished and they should surrender.

Families of IS fighters in the Kirkuk area suddenly left the area as the news was confirmed that the Shias have been attacking families too.

The rumors that IS "ran away" from Tal Afar is affecting some of their ranks.

The American air force is a fearsome force targeting IS wherever it moves in Iraq. IS has no way of stopping the air strikes.

Massacres and Air Strikes on Islam's holiest day

Nigeria
September 1

Nigerian air force announced that it killed several hundred Boko Haram supporters who were making "sallah" in the Sambisi forest which is the stronghold of Boko Haram, north east of Maiduguri.

The first wave of Nigerian jets strafed the prayer gathering, killing scores of people praying. As the worshippers fled for their lives, a second wave of Nigeriian jets bombed them killing many more.

Burma [Myanmer]
September 1. A flood of Rohingya Muslim refugees is moving from Burma into Bangladesh. In two days, the number of terrified refugees has reached 78000.

Human rights organizations say overflights show entire Muslim villages on fire as the Buddhist army launched an offensive against unarmed people. The Buddhist army says it has killed 400 "insurgents."

Afghanistan
September 1.

The United Nations reports two US air strikes, one in the Heart area and one in the Logar area. The UN says 28 women and children were killed in the strikes and 16 injured. The US says it was targeting "anti government elements" and will investigate,

Islamic Voice from Atlanta Protests Muslim shop keepers who sell haram items,.
by Sis. Teresa Rollins

Brother Bilal Stroud has been exhorting Muslims of the Real Al-Islam Community to begin to confront Muslim Store owners who sell haram (alcohol, cigarettes, and poor calorie foodstuff) to minority communities by encouraging Muslims to boycott them.

As a result, these Muslims who do such things have reported him, have tried to shut him down on Facebook so they can continue in encouraging sin and its practice in the minority communities. They have no qualms making money off haram things and encouraging poor health.
They go to the masjids to pray knowing they have done harm to others.

I am asking every real Believer in Allah to send support to this brother, and tell FB to stop cutting off the right to exercise a call to healthful living

Baltimore continued.

After the third prayer, 120 people were reached with an 8-page Jamaat al-Muslimeen document which contained the following items:

Loose Women ,,,,,,
by Sis. Aisha

Felicia Livingstone's diatribe rings true about loose women. It is so true that these women behave in such a loose manner and then, expect a decent man to rescue them. It is unfortunate that they are in such a financially difficult position that they feel the need to degrade themselves to get the bills paid. In worse case scenarios children are molested while the mother turns a blind eye because they are being financially supported!

The difference with men is that they choose to be promiscuous (a word reserved for women) and have the audacity to expect a decent woman to marry them and some of these women do that but, put the "no premarital sex" condition on the relationship.

Eid Day.

On Eid day, September 1, there was a large crowd at the Islamic Society of Baltimore [Masjid Rahma].. This is located just outside the city in an upscale suburb and attracts a middle class crowd. There were people here from dozens of Muslim countries.

Owing to the numbers, there were three Eid prayers. Jamaat al-Muslimeen reached out to the worshippers after the second and third prayers. A total of 220 people got Jamaat's documents.

After the second prayer, 100 people got a 6-page document with the following items in it.

Genocidal Cleansing of the Rohingya Muslims and the Cowardly Silence of the Muslim World.

Dr Firoz Mahboob Kamal
[Leading Intellectual of Bangladesh]

More than a million Rohingya Muslims in the Rakhine state of Myanmar are subject to genocidal cleansing. Thousands of the Muslim children, men and women are brutally massacred. Women are being raped. Thousands of their houses, shops, mosques are blazed to ashes. To save life and chastity, several hundred thousand have already fled to Bangladesh, Thailand, Malaysia and other countries. The Rohingya Muslims are about 2 million; but now decimated to only one million through sustained eviction and ethnic cleansing. Now, the ethnic cleansing has attained a new barbaric level. But surprisingly, the whole Muslim World is showing their tongue-tied cowardice silence - as if nothing has happened in the world.

The western world's current worry is North Korea's ballistic missile; as if the Korean missiles have started killing people in Europe and America and killing their friends in South Korea or Japan. So they could quickly convene an emergency session of the UN's Security Council to impose more sanction against North Korea. The members of the Security Council show their full consensus on such sanction. But they couldn't spare any time to think over the on-going genocide in Myanmar. Rather they show their consensus only to keep their silence. Whereas, the genocidal cleansing of Muslims in Myanmar hasn't started today or yesterday; the UN body could sustain their silence for long years -as keep silence on killings in Kashmir, Palestine and Syria. In fact, such a posture of the World leaders tells a lot vis-à-vis what they can do in the future.

So, the future of the Rohingya Muslims looks very gloomy. They have no friend and no helper. So far, they are suffering the most tremendous atrocities in silence; the carnage continues unfettered. They have received no help from any World Power. Even the neighbouring country like Bangladesh has been very harsh and ungenerous to these ill-fated people. Their boats were not allowed to come nearer to the Bangladeshi shore or cross the Bangladesh Myanmar border. The Bangladesh government even didn't show any displeasure towards the brutality of Myanmar government, let alone condemn it. Instead, Prime Minister Shaikh Hasina peruses a policy of appeasement towards the Myanmar government. However, one can easily find some historical background for such an immoral congruency of the two governments. The atrocities that are being committed by the Myanmar government and the Buddhist thugs against the Rohingya Muslims, in 1971, the ruling party of Bangladesh and its political cadres did the same atrocities against the non-Bengali Muslims. The non-Bengali Muslims living in Bangladesh were deprived of the civic right to possess any house, shop or property. After the defeat of Pakistan in its eastern province of East Pakistan in December 1971, their houses and shops were forcefully taken by the ruling Awami League's political cadres. They non-Bengali owners were sent to make-shift shanties; hundreds of thousand still live there. They were not given the citizenship of Bangladesh. As if, Bangladesh is only for the Bengalis. Myanmar government is perusing the same racist policy against the Rohingya Muslims. So, the government of Bangladesh doesn't possess any moral strength or appetite to condemn similar atrocities against the Rohingya Muslims.

So, the governments in both Myanmar and Bangladesh represent two faces of the same moral disease. During Soviet occupation, about 5 million Afghan refugees could find safe haven in Pakistan and Iran. More than 6 million Syrian refugees enjoy safe haven in Turkey, Lebanon, Jordan and even European countries. About half of the population of Lebanon are refugees -either Palestinians or Syrians. But the Rohingya Muslims do not enjoy such a fortune; because they do not have such neighbours. About 170 million Bengali Muslims show utter incompetence to give shelter even to few hundred thousand Rohingya Muslims. Rakhine state of Myanmar is now a fortified prison for the Muslims. And the prison is now set on fire; and the Bangladesh border security forces are doing every things to close the escape gate of the prison.

If the victims were Christian, Jews or Hindus, they would have received huge haul of weapons and strong political support from all over the world. And, if they could stand up to dismember any Muslim country, the support would have been many fold -as happened in the war against Pakistan in 1971 and against Sudan in recent decades . Since the victims in Myanmar are the Muslims, they have no friend in anywhere in the world! The human morality has entered into its most abysmal state. As if, the Muslims don't deserve any moral, political and humanitarian support. As if, they deserve only bombs, drones, eviction, occupation and genocidal massacre. The USA is committing such crimes in Afghanistan for 17 years, in Iraq for 14 years and now expanded the crime zone to Syria. Israel is committing the same atrocities in Palestine for more than 80 years. And in Kashmir, India's barbarity continues for more than 70 years. Since the perpetrators of the crimes have never been punished, the government of Myanmar has boastfully joined the same club. The government of India has recently declared that India will stand behind the government of Myanmar against its fight against the Muslims. Even the government of Bangladesh has approached the Myanmar that the country is ready to collaborate with Myanmar to fight against any Rohingya insurgency.

Rakhaine state of Myanmar is a Muslim majority state with a coast line almost equal to that of Bangladesh. Historically, geographically and ethnically they are part of Bengal. Till 1948, it was the part of British colony in Myanmar. If any concern for the safety and security of the Muslim had ever worked in the British conscience, this Muslim majority territory of Rakhine must have been merged with Pakistan. But that didn't happen -as didn't happen for the Muslim majority state of Kashmir. The same anti-Muslim bias got its horrendous display in Palestine, too. Hence, what is happening in Kashmir, Palestine, and Rakhine is indeed the legacy of the British imperialists' anti-Muslim policy. In order to bring an ethnic homogeneity in Myanmar, the fascist government of Myanmar and its Buddhist racists want a genocidal cleansing of the whole Muslim population from Rakhine. They don't want to follow any civilised route. If they want to make Myanmar only for the Buddhists, why they do not allow the Rohingya people to separate from Myanmar and establish their own independent state or merge with Bangladesh. They conveniently forget that Rakhine was never inhabited by the Buddhist.

Now the Rohingya Muslims really run out of choice. They have to embrace either a total genocidal extinction or fight against the genocidal occupation. In Islam, there is no place for surrender. Surrender brings further punishment from Allah Sub'hana wa Ta'la. In such a dire situation, fighting against the killers is obligatory on every Muslim. Cowardice incompetence would only add more disgrace and death to the Rohingya people. It is also true that the world leaders will do nothing against the criminals; rather they will label them as terrorist if they try to resist the genocide. The imperialists would wish that the Rohingya people should embrace extinction rather than fighting the brutal occupation. Aung Sang Sochi - the Nobel Prize winning leader of the Burmese nationalist, has shown her real colour. Instead of condemning the perpetrators of atrocities, she has blamed the Rohingya Muslims for all the problems in Myanmar. More awfully, the world leaders are also showing their real colour by keeping their criminal silence and inaction.

Rohingya Muslims fleeing from fighting in Myanmar face attempts by Bangladesh authorities to send them home despite a U.N. appeal that they be allowed to stay. The Rohingya are classed as illegal immigrants in Myanmar.
