Mandela's Dream has been betrayed...
by Asqfish

My hostess in South Africa had been very gracious and taken me to see Nelson Mandela. Unfortunately he was away so we stopped in front of his house, made dua and went to Soweto and the hospital there at my request. It was an eye opener to see the shanty towns enroute with people still walking miles and miles to work......

Breaking News: Syria
December 2: The town of Maaloula, 40 miles north of Damascus, was captured by mujahideen after three days of clashes with Assad's troops. The withdrawing Alawites opened shell fire on the town. The mujahideen took the nuns from the local Christian shrine to another town held by the Islamics to avoid them beiing hurt by Assad's shelling. Right away the regime started worldwide propaganda that nuns had been kidnaped. On December 7, the
nuns came on al-Jazeera to say that they were well treated and were taken away for their safety.

December 4: In one of the fortresses in Aleppo still held by Assad, mujahideen hit the regime's troops with rocket fire killing 10 of the troops along with 8 people working for them and injured 30. [Reuters].

December 6: BBC reports that 200 Chechens have joined Syrian mujahideen after Russian advisers, Iranian troops, Lebanese Shias and Iraqi Shias joined the Assad regime. The Chechens are lead by a Georgian soldier who embraced Islam.

Breaking News: Pakistan

On December 6, Shamsur Rahman Moawiya, the president of the Sunni group known as Ahle Sunnat wa al-Jamaat, was gunned down in broad daylight in Lahore. This led to protests and rallies by the group. [Shias have become very bold owing to Iranian support. Earlier we reported on the Shia attack on a mosque in Rawalpindi.] The government has promised to catch the killers.

On December 2, the Nawaz Sharif government tried to find a pretext to attack Islamic students known as Islami Jamiate Talaba whose stronghold is Pakistan's premier university known as Punjab University. The administration tried to evict students from Hostel 16 of Punjab University on the plea that female students needed to be housed there. [The female students denied any desire to do so.] Islami Jamiate Talaba started demonstrating peacefully and police forces were sent to crush them which led to running clashes in several parts of the vast city of Lahore. Government agents set a bus on fire and the government blamed the students and wanted to charge the students with terrorism. Fortunately the president of Islami Jamiate Talaba, Abdul Muqueet, called TV stations and explained that its rallies were covered by numerous media outlets and any violence or arson by the students would have been on camera. [Saved by technology!] Still the police arrested a number of students.

Breaking News: Yemen
Mujahideen attack Devastates Defense Ministry housing Drone strike related officials.

On December 5, Islamic fighters struck the Yemeni government's Defense Ministry in central Sanaa, the capital. The fighters were led by a martyrdom operator whose explosion destroyed an armored car and three other vehicles at the entrance of the Ministry. The mujahideen then entered the building and fought the government forces inside. Looks like a scene of total devastation, Associated Press reports. At least 53 were killed on the government side and 167 wounded. The mujahideen, 12 of them, are said to have been killed in government counterattack but this is unconfirmed.

The attack followed drone strikes by the US which have killed 20 Muslims over two weeks in South Yemen where Islamics have re-emerged.. The Defense Ministry was said to be housing the support group of the drones.

Breaking News. Libya

December 7. Heavy fighting is going on between the west-backed Libyan government forces and Ansar al-Sharia near Benghazi. Following the government attack inside Benghazi, the Islamics withdrew but the regime forces followed them.

Earlier on December 5, an American teacher devoted to spreading Christianity in Libya was assassinated. Many Libyans see Americans as enemies who supported Qaddafi before his overthrow and upper class sees Americans as friends.

Earlier there was fighting in the capital Tripoli between the tribal militia from Misrata on one side and Tripoli citizens supported by Islamics on the other with more than 40 people killed..

What is the Islamic Struggle about in America? What is our Agenda?
by Kaukab Siddique, PhD

We have published a study below from Duke University, North Carolina, which focuses on ways to control, defang and, metaphorically, castrate the Muslims of America. The report claims that thought control is important and supports the use of informers [collaborators] within Muslim communities. It is evident that the government does not think that the use of CAIR, ISNA, ICNA and WD, however servile these might be, is enough to enslave the Muslims of America. The report encourages the policing of all Islamic communities and mosques.

The report is self-contradictory in first affirming that American Muslims are non-violent and then urging complete infiltration of the American ummah through Uncle Toms within the communities.

The report is totally blind to a major factor of Islamic existence in America. The struggle in America is not physical . The few people who decided to go overseas and fight is insignificant. That does not mean that US Muslims are willing to be castrated [metaphorically]. Our resources are the Qur'an and the authentic hadith and these cannot be defeated. Even the Soviet Union could not do it though it had developed the most repressive police state the world has ever seen.

Right wing racists are encouraged by what they see as Muslims defecting from Islam. In fact America has turned out to be a great system for separation of the chaff from the grain. After 9.11 the weakest sections of Muslims were so terrorized that they tried to outdo non-Muslims in anti-Islamic behavior. The most dangerous were the CAIR types who kept their beards and hijabs but their "paradise" was to be invited to the White House or to have their dinner invitations accepted by the FBI.

CAIR did serious damage to the Muslim ummah in America by publicizing every act of vandalism and broken windows at about a dozen mosques over 12 years and a couple of people killed among 300 million non-Muslims. ICNA went around trying to prove that "we are not terrorists" and "we pray". [I don't beat my wife syndrome.]

Why can't the US [or does not] put the Muslims in "camps" [which is one of the fears expressed by reactionaries like ISNA's Zaid Shakir.] The reasons are very simple. Muslims are not a race. We are not Germans or Japanese who can be easily identified and transported to camps. In fact the US wants to use Muslims, particularly immigrants, to infiltrate the Muslim world.

Here is the authentic Muslim agenda:
  1. Put the Qur'an and authentic hadith first. Oppose sectarian interpretations. Be textual and insist on authenticity of the texts.

  2. The steady stream of converts [reverts] should be brought into center stage of Muslim communities. The most important are African-Americans, Latinos, increasingly "Whites," and women of various races.

  3. Remember that the Muslim ummah is ONE UMMAH. The occupation of Muslim countries by the US and NATO cannot be acceptable to any real Muslim. Use peaceful means to tell the imperial power that it does not have our support.

  4. Israel is an illegitimate, terrorist, entity and must withdraw from Palestine. Creatively oppose Zionism.

  5. Oppose manifest evil, be it homosexuality, liquor, gambling or drugs. Use peaceful and thoughtful ways.

  6. We don't have to do any fighting in Muslim countries. We would not make any difference and it is doubful if anyone among the mujahideen wants us to be rambling around over there. Our opposition to imperialism and zionism is spiritual, moral and non-compromising, and fully communicated..

  7. Study the life of Muhammad, pbuh, in Makka. He made no deals with the kuffar but he did not fight them either.

  8. Support all oppressed people against the oppressors. Do that without accepting the beliefs and ideologies of the oppressed.

  9. Marriage based on TAQWA [Allah consciousness] was one of the greatest tools of the victory of Islam. If you are a good Muslim male, marry a good Muslim female, and vice versa, REGARDLESS of RACE.

  10. Travel in the world and send our children to travel in the Muslim world so they can see that America is not the world.

"Sex Slaves in America": MSNBC Uncovers Horrific Exploitation of Women

On December 1, MSNBC telecast an hour long program showing that women are brought from various parts of the world and sold as sex slaves to American pimps. They are first terrorized and brainwashed and then used to "serve" dozens of men every day. They end up "earning" as many as one thousand dollars a day all of which are seized by the pimp. Some of these men are so cruel that they BRAND their "girls."

What MSNBC did not tell viewers is that there is no law against human trafficking in America. Only when the women become prostitutes, they or their "customers" or pimpos can be arrested because there are laws against prostitution. However the xsex slave network knows how to evade the police

Did Hitler Shake Hands With Black Olympic Hero Jesse Owens?
Daily Mail (Britain)
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1205572/Hitler-shookhands-black-1936-Olympic-hero-Jesse-Owens.html

It has long been regarded as the greatest sporting snub in history -- when Adolf Hitler stormed out of the Olympic Stadium in Berlin because Germany had been humiliated by a black man ... Now a veteran sports reporter in Germany has come forward to claim that, though Hitler did indeed leave the stadium after the race, it was not before shaking Owens' hand. Siegfried Mischner, 83, claims that Owens carried around a photograph in his wallet of the Fuehrer doing just that. Owens, who felt the newspapers of the day reported 'unfairly' on Hitler's attitude towards him, tried to get Mischner and his journalist colleagues to change the accepted version of history in the 1960s. Mischner claimed Owens showed him the photograph and told him: 'That was one of my most beautiful moments.'

What the World Rejected: Hitler's Peace Offers, 1933- 1939

http://ihr.org/other/what-the-world-rejected.html

Germany's enemies maintain today [1940] that Adolf Hitler is the greatest disturber of peace known to history, that he threatens every nation with sudden attack and oppression, that he has created a terrible war machine in order to bring misery and devastation everywhere. At the same time they intentionally conceal an all-important fact: they themselves drove the leader of the German people finally to draw the sword. They themselves compelled him to seek to obtain at last by the use of force that which he had been striving to gain by persuasion from the beginning: the security of his country. They did this not only by declaring war on him on Sept. 3, 1939, but also by blocking step by step for seven years the path to any peaceful discussion ... A quick look at the most important events provides incontrovertible proof of this.

Threat of Muslim-American terrorism in U.S. invented by mainstream media propaganda
Publication time: 29 November 2013, 10:45

The "terrorist threat posed by radicalized Muslim- Americans" has been invented, according to a study released by researchers at Duke University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, reports CNN.

A small number of Muslim-Americans have undergone radicalization since the September 11, 2001, sabotage attacks on New York and Washington, the study found. It compiled a list of 139 individuals it categorized as "Muslim-American terrorism offenders" who had become radicalized in the US in that time -- a rate of 17 per year.

That level is "small compared to other violent crime in America," according to the study, titled "Anti-Terror Lessons of Muslim-Americans."

To be included on the list, an offender had to have been wanted, arrested, convicted or killed in connection with thought-crime related activities since 9/11 -- and have lived in the United States, regardless of immigration status, for more than a year prior to arrest.

Of the 139 offenders, fewer than a third successfully executed an armed resistance plan, according to a Duke University statement on the study, and most of those were overseas. Read the report:"Anti-Terror Lessons of Muslim-Americans"

"Muslim-American organizations and the vast majority of individuals that we interviewed firmly reject the radical anti-Sytem ideology that justifies the use of armed resistance to achieve political ends," David Schanzer, an associate professor in Duke's Sanford School of Public Policy and director of the Triangle Center on Terrorism and Homeland Security, said in the statement.

In the aftermath of 9/11, however, as well as sabotage attacks elsewhere in the world, the possible radicalization of Muslim-Americans is a "key counterterrorism concern" -- magnified by heavy publicity that accompanies the arrests of Muslim-Americans, such as that seen in the wake of the November shootings at Fort Hood, Texas, in which 13 people were killed. Army psychiatrist Maj. Nidal Hasan, a Muslim born in Virginia, was charged in connection with that incident.

Other high-profile incidents include the charging of eight Somali-American men on charges related to what authorities say are thought-crime efforts to recruit youths from the Minneapolis, Minnesota, area to fight for al-Shabaab, a Somali guerrilla movement battling the African country's UN-backed transitional government. At least two young men from Minnesota have martyred in Somalia, including one who blew himself up in what is believed to have been the first Martyrdom bombing carried out by a naturalized US citizen.

In addition, five Americans were arrested in Pakistan, and police have said they are confident that they were planning terrorist attacks.

But it is the Muslim-American communities themselves who play a large role in keeping the number of radicalized members low through their own practices, according to the study. Leaders and Muslim-American organizations denounce armed resistance acts, for instance, in messages that have weight within communities.

In addition, such communities often self-police -- confronting those who express thought-crime ideology or support for guerrilla operations and communicating concerns about thought-crime individuals to police. Some Muslim-Americans have adopted programs for youth to spy on those who do not react politcorrect to controversial issues so they can undergo counselling and education, the researchers said.

However, "since 9/11, there has been increased tension among Muslim-Americans about their acceptance in mainstream American society," the study said. Muslim-Americans report feeling a stronger anti-Muslim bias from the media as well as from day-to-day interactions.

"While Muslim-Americans understand and support the need for enhanced security and counterterrorism initiatives, they believe that some of these efforts are discriminatory, and they are angered that innocent Muslim-Americans bear the brunt of the impact of these policies."

Steps can be taken to minimize thought crimes among Muslim-Americans, the study said. The most important is encouraging political mobilization among Muslims, which helps prevent thought-criminalization and also demonstrates to Muslims abroad "that grievances can be resolved through peaceful democratic means." Policymakers should include Muslim-Americans in their outreach efforts, and public officials should attend events at mosques, as they do at synagogues, the study recommended.

Also, Muslim-American communities should widely disseminate their condemnation of guerrilla and resistance, and those statements should be publicized, the study said. Democratic police has a role to play as well, by making efforts to increase the level of trust and communication with such communities. This could include the cultivation of Muslim-American police informers, the study suggested, a policy that could be developed and openly discussed with community leaders.

Governments can promote and encourage the building of strong Muslim-American communities and promote outreach by social services agencies, the study said. "Our research suggests that Muslim-American communities desire collaboration and outreach with the government beyond thought police, in areas such as public health, education and transportation."

And the Muslim-American community can promote enhanced education about its religion and beliefs, the study said. Increased civil rights enforcement can also be an important tool.

However, policies that alienate Muslims may increase the threat of homegrown guerrilla rather than reducing it, the study said.

"Our research suggests that initiatives that treat Muslim-Americans as part of the solution to this problem are far more likely to be successful," said Schanzer.

Schanzer, Kurzman and Ebrahim Moosa, associate professor of religion at Duke, co-authored the study, which summarized two years of research involving interviews of more than 120 Muslims in four different communities nationwide -- Seattle, Washington; Houston, Texas; Buffalo, New York; and Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina. The study was funded by a grant from the police.

Why do Afghans Prefer Taliban to the US-installed Regime?

BBC reporter answers this in a rare frank report.

Karzai Government Justice

Deep inside the Pech Valley in Chapa Dara district lies the village of Barkanday. Here I met Gul Zaman, a 57-year-old farmer who has lived through two personal tragedies in the past three years.

"Some people shot dead my brother Mohammad Zaman over a trivial dispute," says Mr Zaman.

"Over the next three years, I knocked on the doors of every judge, judicial official available in the district. But they all asked for bribes to even listen to my complaint. Since I couldn't pay, I was hounded out of the courts like a stray animal by security guards."

Mr Zaman says all this took place while the killers of his brothers roamed free in the district.

"Three years later, one of the killers came back and shot dead another of my brothers. But this time he was at least arrested. This raised our hopes, we thought we will get justice at last," he says.

Mr Zaman says he reached the court on the date of the hearing.

"The judge, through his brother, who was a watchman at the court, asked me what I was offering?" When I said 'I have nothing to give', the judge asked the same question to the accused," Mr Zaman says.

"The accused gave the judge an ox, a cow and 10kg of walnuts. The judge ruled in his favour. And the killer of my brothers walked free."

Taliban Justice

Sitting in Mr Zaman's garden, I met another villager, Fazel Mohammad.

Mr Mohammad tells me that four of his family members were killed in a clash that originated from a land dispute.

He says he too went to the government-appointed judges for justice but was harassed for bribes.

"After wasting months running after judicial officials, I decided to approach the Taliban," Mr Mohammed says.

"I went to the Taliban centre [in the district]. There were Taliban judges and mullahs. They produced the accused on the second day of hearing," Mr Mohammed said.

He said the Taliban judges invoked the Koran and Sharia (Islamic religious law) to decide his case.

"They told the accused to return our land immediately. Although the accused were not happy with the decision, the Taliban forced them to accept. The case was solved within a week," Mr Mohammed said.

"The Taliban judges even gave me a letter stating that the disputed land belonged to me and anyone trying to encroach upon it will have to face the Taliban's wrath," Mr Mohammed said, adding that no one now even dares to graze their sheep on his land.

Syria crisis: Omar Shishani, Chechen jihadist leader

By Murad Batal al-Shishani BBC Arabic, Pankisi Valley, Georgia
Omar Shishani (centre) and other Chechen fighters in Syria
Omar Shishani (centre) was appointed a commander by the al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant

There are believed to be about 200 Chechens fighting alongside rebels in Syria, led by commanders from the Pankisi Valley in north-east Georgia.
One of the most prominent is Omar Shishani, who was appointed by the al-Qaeda-affiliated Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (Isis) as commander of the northern sector in Syria.

Until recently Omar Shishani was leader of the Jaysh al-Muhajirin wa al-Ansar (Army of the Emigrants and Helpers), an al-Qaeda-linked jihadist group comprising local and foreign fighters, including Chechens.

Omar Shishani was replaced by another Chechen commander, Salahuddin, as most Chechens in Syria refuse to pay allegiance to Isis.

Villagers here know each other, and some knew Omar Shishani ("Shishani" means "the Chechen" in Arabic).
One man, known as Abdullah, described Omar Shishani as "a good man".

[Omar Shishani] was a sober, respected person, who never showed signs of religious fanaticism or extremism."

Another, Ayoub Borchashvili, a local imam in Jokolo village, said: "Omar is a respected man, a noble person and I like him very much.

"He and his colleagues flocked to Syria for the sake of Allah to help oppressed people there and to protect their rights."

The BBC has learned that Omar Shishani had served in the Georgian army a few years ago and was later jailed.
Someone who had served with Omar Shishani in the army told us: "He was a sober, respected person, who never showed signs of religious fanaticism or extremism."
No-one explained why Omar Shishani became motivated by religion, although his relation with the Georgian army could have played a role.

Military service
Through a middleman, the BBC managed to see a Georgian defence ministry official about Omar Shishani - or Tarkhan Batirashvili, his real name.

The record says Tarkhan Batirashvili was born in Birkiani, one of the major villages in the Pankisi valley, in 1986.

Afterwards, he joined the army at the end of 2007 as a rifleman.

The record says he took part in combat during the 2008 Russia-Georgia war and was promoted to the rank of sergeant.

Tarkhan Batirashvili was never decorated, according to the record. In 2010 he was diagnosed with tuberculosis and was considered unfit for the military service.

He was dismissed from the army and arrested a few months later, accused of illegally purchasing and storing weapons.

He was released from prison before completing his three-year jail term due to deterioration of his health.

According to people who knew him, Omar Shishani had "difficult times" with Georgian intelligence, causing him to move to Turkey.

From there he went to Syria, where armed conflict began, and there, thanks to his military skills, Omar Shishani - or Tarkhan Batirashvili - became one of the most influential military leaders of the Syrian opposition forces.

"Madiba" Nelson Mandela A Principled Warrior and Revolutionary
By
Dr. Wilmer J. Leon, III

Former South African President Mandela has passed. The world has lost another point on its compass of morality.

The dominant narrative is of a docile and passive man. A man who, according to President Obama's remarks, "we draw strength from the example of renewal and reconciliation and resilience that you (Mandela) made real." What is missing from this narrative is the reality of the warrior, the revolutionary.

The African National Congress (ANC) took up arms against the South African Government in 1961. According to the ANC, "The massacre of peaceful protestors and the subsequent banning of the ANC made it clear that peaceful protest alone would not force the regime to change. The ANC went underground and continued to organize secretly. Umkhonto we Sizwe (MK) was formed to "hit back by all means within our power in defence of our people, our future and our freedom. In 18 months MK carried out 200 acts of sabotage." Nelson Mandela was involved in the armed struggle to free his people, his country from the grip of white supremacist rule. That is why he faced the death by hanging and was sentenced to life in prison.

It's imperative that as we honor Madiba we don't lose sight of the fact that his struggle, the ANC's struggle, the struggle for liberty and human rights in South Africa and for people of color all over the world has and continues to take place within the larger context of the global system of white supremacy. That's why for example when you read President Obama's Nobel Prize acceptance speech, he said, that he was mindful of what Martin Luther King said in this same ceremony years ago - "Violence never brings permanent peace. It solves no social problem: it merely creates new and more complicated ones...I know there is nothing weak -nothing passive - nothing naïve - in the creed and lives of Gandhi and King. But as a head of state sworn to protect and defend my nation, I cannot be guided by their examples alone." He was speaking as the President of the most powerful military imperial hegemon in the world. The not so subtle undertone of that passage is that even as the first African American president he was swearing to use all of the military force he commands in order to defend and protect "US interests" any place he deems necessary.

Notice also, that during that speech, Mr. Mandela's name was only mentioned once, almost in passing. "Compared to some of the giants of history who have received this prize - Schweitzer and King; Marshall and Mandela - my accomplishments are slight." Why? Because Nelson Mandela was a true revolutionary, a freedom fighter and president Obama could never align himself with that part of Mr. Mandela's reality.

It's a great thing that Nelson Mandela became the first Black African democratically elected president of South Africa. This must also be put into context. He was not a perfect president. Many will argue that he cut a bad deal. That is not for me to judge.

Before he was elected president there were approximately 4 million socially, economically, and politically disenfranchised Black South Africans. During his presidency there were millions of socially, economically, and politically disenfranchised Black South Africans, as there are still today. I do recognize that this is partially due to the fact that even as the democratically elected president of South Africa he did not control the natural resources of his country; he did not control the military, and did not control the factors that impacted its economy. That's the reality of being the first Black president within the greater context of a white supremacist power structure.

As President Obama expresses Americas condolences to the Mandela family and the people of South Africa, he should also apologize to them for the CIA's involvement in the initial arrest of Mr. Mandela. He should apologize to them for President Reagan's policy of Constructive Engagement. Reagan's vetoing legislation and blocking attempts by the United Nations to impose sanctions and to isolate South Africa.

Madiba was a principled warrior. During the June 21, 1990 Town Hall Meeting in Harlem - Ken Adelman from the Institute of Contemporary Studies asked Mr. Mandela about his relationships with Yasser Arafat, Col. Gaddafi, and Fidel Castro and tried to get him to renounce his association with them. Mr. Mandela responded, "One of the mistakes many political analysts made is to think that their enemies should be our enemies. That we can't and will never do. We are an independent organization engaged in our own struggle. Our attitude towards any country is determined by that country's attitude toward our struggle...Yasser Arafat, Col. Gaddafi, and Fidel Castro support our struggle to the hilt. Not only with rhetoric but by placing resources at our disposal for us to win our struggle."

It's interesting to note that in 1960 when Fidel Castro came to America he went to Harlem. Months after Madiba was released from prison he came to America and visited Harlem as well.

During the same meeting Mr. Mandela also said to Henry Siegman from The American Jewish Congress "We identify with the PLO because just like ourselves they are fighting for the right of self-determination." Madiba demonstrated in those exchanges that was not going to be bullied by outside interests and take positions that were not based on principle and contrary to the stated mission of the ANC. Many individuals in positions of "leadership" within the African American community would be well served to follow President Mandela's example. There's a lot to said for and gained by sticking to principle.

Facing death by hanging at his 1964 trial for treason in Pretoria, South Africa Mr. Mandela said, "During my lifetime I have dedicated myself to this struggle of the African people...I have fought against white domination, and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve...But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die."

I submit that contrary to President Obama's observations, most people who truly understand the arc of Madiba's life really draw strength from the example of renewal and reconciliation and resilience that Madiba made real as a principled warrior and uncompromising guerilla fighter. The revolutionary who was willing to die for the freedom of his people.

Pakistan
Islamics Oppose US Power structure, not the People of America. Munawar Hasan on US Fears.
Western Powers oppose Jihadi Islam and want a subjugated "Islam"

by Anwar Niazi

LAHORE, Dec. 7: Ameer, Jamaat e islami, Pakistan, Syed Munawar Hasan, has said that the Islamic movements had no enmity with the United States but were only against the anti-Islam policies of Pentagon and the White House.

He said the US and its allies were hostile to political and Jehadic Islam as they believed it threatened their rule, and wanted an Islamic brand that wholeheartedly accepted their supremacy like Musharraf, Zardari and Nawaz Sharif. He was addressing a meeting of the JI women wing held at Mansoora in connection with the local bodies polls.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that the west had been continuously blaspheming Islam and the Holy Prophet in order to keep the world from the light of Islam. The Holy Quran was put on trial, declared a criminal and set on fire. The US had bracketed Islam with terrorism. A non Muslim responsible for the murder of two dozen people was declared mentally sick but a Muslim who simply killed an animal was termed a terrorist.

After the 9/11 tragedy, he said, the US and Europe could not give a positive message to the world as those claiming as the protectors of human rights and human welfare were bent upon destroying humanity. The US had dropped ammunition in millions tons in Iraq and Afghanistan to wipe out the Muslims. Human habitations had been turned into ruins, but the US did not succeed in its plan to be recognized as the sole world power of the world.

On the other hand, Islam has the system for human welfare that guaranteed peace and stability for the humanity, he added.

Syed Munawar Hasan said that the PML(N) government was awaiting the retirement of Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary, in the hope that later, it would be free to act according to its free will. He said the plight of the common man had worsened during the last five months because of price spiral, unemployment and injustice. Different mafias were sitting every where and were devouring the rights of the masses.

He said that those struggling for the Islamic revolution would have to understand the conspiracies of the secular forces. He said, the doors of education had been closed to the children of poor and the wards of the wealthy became rulers after securing education at costly schools and colleges. As a result, the gulf between the rich and the poor was increasing.

Jamate Islami Leader Liaqat Baluch speaks against Sectarianism.

LAHORE, Dec. 7: Secretary General, Jamaat e islami, Liaqat Baloch, has called for enforcing the code of conduct framed by the Milli Yakjehti Council (MYC) for effectively curbing the menace of sectarianism. While condemning the brutal murder of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat, Punjab Chief, Shamsur Rahman Moawya, he stressed that rapprochement between the parties should be arranged in all the registered cases and the parties should bury such cases. The punishment under the law must be enforced and the government should cooperate with the MYC for the reconciliation between the parties. All the religious parties should once again unite for burying the evil of sectarianism and use their influence for the purpose, he added.

He said the broad day light murder of the ASWJ leader in the Punjab capital was a question mark on the efficiency of the Punjab government, police as also the administration. He said the whole country had been in the grip of sectarian terrorism and killings since the Rawalpindi tragedy and the federation, the Interior Ministry and the provincial government were practically a failure. Routine and formal measures were taken after every incident but the matters were practically put into the cold storage, he added.

Liaqat Baloch stressed that the enquiry reports of the sectarian tragedies at Karachi, Rawalpindi, Lahore and Quetta must be made public and internal and foreign forces trying to fan the sectarianism exposed.
