large unarmed crowd calling for the release of Jamaate
Islami leaders. At least 5 Muslims were killed and 55
wounded. Five police were injured by angry protestors
throwing stones.
In Chittagong, groups supporting Jamaate Islami clashed with
pro-India groups, leaving 2 people killed and many injured.

Countering Images of Blacks as Violent, Anti-Woman and
Frivolous:
Solomon Commissiong Deconstructs Hip Hop, Denounces Drone
Attacks.
April 2. Lincoln University, Pennsylvania, has a heritage of
great educators, scholars, activists and pioneers. Even by
those standards, Solomon Comissiong was extraordinarily
inspiring and thought provoking. He spoke for almost two
hours with finesse and skill. His message, inspired in part
by Malcolm X, revealed the struggle within America's culture
for the hearts and souls of young people. Mass culture and
big money have combined to degrade and dumb down the mental
horizons of new generations of young people. The challenge
to this power structure is coming from Comissiong and other
educators like him.
The struggle he initiated at the University of Maryland
found a positive response at Lincoln U. It was standing room
only and the young crowd cheered spontaneously as the
Trinidadian critic of America spoke against injustice,
police brutality and war. His vision is global and he spoke
very strongly against the drone attacks in Pakistan.

Committee of LU led by Dr. Kaukab Siddique and Prof. Sophia
Sotilleo and supported by the Student Government.]

Malcolm X's Associate Speaks at Lincoln U: Devastating
Critique of Black Self-Hatred
April 9: It was a great day at Lincoln University in
Pennsylvania. Known as James67XWarden when he was in the
Nation of Islam and James Monroe King Warden when he was at
Lincoln University, now in his eighties he is simply Abdur
Razzaq. He spoke to several audiences. He was closely
associated with Malcolm and served him in his last years.
Abdur Razzaq attracted tremendous attention as he spoke hour
after hour on a whole spectrum of issues. With his white
beard and Islamic cap, he was a mystery for Lincoln students
but once he got going, he touched the hearts and souls of
students on issues they often think of and try to solve.
Br. Abdur Razzaq has a story telling style, somewhat like
the griots in west Africa, so its not easy to sum up his
message. He was soon seen as one of "us." He had studied at
Lincoln and had studied under some of the people after whom
the buildings are named. He taught that young people should
understand the impact of 400 years of slavery. Descendants
of slaves are not like other people. They have undergone the
most traumatic experience in human history and the suffering
is in their souls.
Young people should not be slotting themselves merely as the
entertainers and sportsmen whom America wants them to be.
African American men need to take leadership roles and not
be waiting to be led by women or by the "White" culture, he
said. .
[Thanks go to Dr. Leaman, Department of Religion, for
discovering Abdur Razzaq and bringing him to Lincoln.]

Anti-Drone Rally in Washington, DC+ JAM placards+Police
Misbehavior
April 13: An anti-drone rally took place at 1600
Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, DC [near the White
House]. After two hours, the protestors moved to George
Washington, University where speeches were made by
representatives of numerous groups. Speaker after speaker
denounced the drone attacks in :Pakistan and Afruca. There
was a large police presence but there was no incident.
Most of it was a secular rally, using the tragedy of bombing
by US drones in Pakistan, Somalia and Yemen to advance their
own agendas.
The placards saying no to drones were exactly the same,
provided by the ANSWER Coalition. However there was a Muslim
presence there, including several hijabi sisters. Jamaat
al-Muslimeen had two hand written placards which read:
-
Eleven children killed on April 6. Drones kill children.

-
Terrorism by Drones. Killing US citizens without trial.
A number of people took pictures of the two placards. {The
reference in the second is Shaykh Anwar al-Awlaki, his son
and Samir Khan, a journalist.
Police Misbehavior
A hijabi sister, on returning from the rally, was stopped by
a police officer in Baltimore. He had indicated to her that
she could change lanes [he was right behind her] but when
she did and he could see her hijab, he turned on his red
light and stopped her. He banged the door of her car when
she tried to get out of the car to get her bag with the
license in it from the back seat. He was trembling with
anger, his "white" face getting sweaty as he claimed she had
wrongly changed lanes. She refused to be cowed down by his
anger and the $90 ticket he was giving her. He then sent a
police woman to talk to her.
It was a blatant expression of police aggression which is
becoming quite common in America.

Comment by Nadrat Siddique
Mainstream Muslims hold
conferences galore. A vast number of the political prisoners
held these days are Muslim. Can you think of a single such
conference--ISNA, ICNA, RIS, MYNA, MSA, or CAIR--where a
Muslim political prisoner calls in and is permitted to speak
on the injustices to which he is being subjected? I can't.
And yet, non-Muslims of conscience have the likes of Mumia
Abu Jamal, Eddie Conway, etc. call in and speak to events
supporting them on a regular basis. The video illustrates a
historic moment, where a Muslim organization--Jamaat
al-Muslimeen--had the guts to give voice to a Muslim
political prisoner, Siddique Abdullah Hassan--whose human
rights are being violated. A Muslim is one who bears witness
to the truth. We need to get on our game, and be more
proactive in getting the truth out (not talking to my Muslim
brothers and sisters in organizations like Jericho and Black
August who are already doing their part). Until all our
brothers and sisters being held unjustly behind bars are
freed, every Muslim conference or convention worth its salt
needs to follow Jamaat al-Muslimeen's lead, and incorporate
a segment where a political prisoner--a mustadhaf, in other
words--is permitted to call in.
Latest revolutionary khutba
Why are male & female Companions of the Prophet, pbuh, so
essential to Islam?
Ask Allah, not dead people however saintly, for help.
On April 12, 2013 the Juma Khutba at a small masjid in
central Baltimore was given by Br. Kaukab Siddique. Its main
points are given here for dissemination on the Internet
across America.
Text: "The vanguard (of Islam)- the first of those who
forsook (their homes) and of those who gave them aid, and
(also) those who followed them in(all) good deeds,-
well-pleased is Allah with them, as are they with Him: for
them hath He prepared gardens under which rivers flow, to
dwell therein forever: that is the supreme felicity." [The
Qur'an 9:100]
-
The sources of Islam are the Qur'an and the authentic
hadith. Both sources are impeccable because they were
MEMORIZED and WRITTEN down. Writing can create typos, so it
was cross referenced with the memory of many sahaba.

-
The Qur'an must be interpreted by Hadith, not by
personal opinion however scholarly.

-
Study to know authentic hadith. Weak narrations should
not be passed off as hadith.

-
Muslim often do not understand HOW to obey the Prophet,
pbuh, because he was too holy and received revelation and we
are not and we do not.

-
That's where the role of the sahaba [companions of the
Prophet, pbuh] becomes essential. They are our role models
for HOW to follow the Prophet, pbuh.

-
The diversity of the Sahaba, r.a., makes the Sunnah of
the Prophet, pbuh, available to all kinds of people for
ever. They all had faith but their characters covered all
kinds of human virtues:[Please say radi Allah unh after
each name]
 -
Abu Bakr was compassionate, brave, thoughtful and highly
spiritual.

-
Umar was the excellent example of justice, austerity,
and humility.

-
Usman was unequalled in generosity, modesty and love.

-
Ali was a great fighter and pious beyond measure.

-
Saad ibn abi Waqqas was self-sacrificing.

-
Abu Huraira was the greatest narrator of Hadithe
Muhammad, pbuh.

-
Bilal: Caller to prayer and leader of anti-slavery
movement in Islam

-
Hussan ibn Thabit, poet answering attacks on Islam in
poetry.
and Zubair and Talha and Abdur Rahman, and many others.

-
Female Companions of the Prophet are also central and
essential to Islam. Some examples:[Please say radi Allah
unha after each name]
 -
Khadija: Business woman and economic supporter of Islam.

-
Ayesha: Scholar, teacher, leader, faqih, interpreter of
the Qur'an.

-
Umm Ammara: Warrior

-
Sumayya: Martyr

-
Safiyya: Teacher and defender.

-
Asma: Field worker, home maker, runner.

-
Umm Waraqa: Hafize Qur'an and prayer leader
and Fatima and Umm Haram and many others.

-
For every aspect of life, Islam provides the best role
model in the sahaba.

-
It's a serious error made by sectarians who chose ONE
sahabi and neglect all the others.

-
Read the entire verse 9:100: Most of our preachers
mention only the muhajerin and ansar but neglect those who
came after them. Khalid, Abu Sufian, Muawiyya who had
opposed Islam but became its vanguard. They and those with
them destroyed the superpowers of the time.

-
The men of great spirituality who came much later have
replaced the sahaba in the minds of superstitious, defeated
Muslims.

-
I visited the tomb of Abdul Qadir Jilani in Baghdad
because he was a great teacher and follower of Muhammad,
pbuh. What I saw was Muslims asking him, though he is dead,
for their needs, instead of asking Allah. Islam does not
permit such activities.

-
Even as he was dying, Muhammad, pbuh, was worried that
Muslims would do to him what the Christians did to Jesus and
start worshipping his tomb.

-
Let us pray for the freedom of Occupied Palestine and
occupied Kashmir. Pray for the victory of Islam in
Afghanistan, Pakistan, Somalia, Nigeria and Mali. Pray for
the downfall of all tyrants, dictators and kings, especially
the tyrant in Syria. O Allah, help the Muslims of America to
unite on the Qur'an and the authentic hadith and save us
from the corrupting influence of pro-war and
pro-homosexuality rulers.

reporters. "We conduct those strikes because they are
necessary to mitigate ongoing actual threats, to stop plots,
to prevent future attacks and, again, save American lives.
These strikes are legal, they are ethical, and they are
wise," he said..."

Letter: Reader Criticizes Dr. Kaukab Siddique's Khutba
YOUR KHUTBA
-
Where does it say that only big Prophets can do
miracles?

-
We don't accept the notion of defeat. 2.154 And say not
of those who are slain in the way of God: "They are
dead."Nay, they are living, though ye perceive (it) not.
(or putting in another way, they are morally victorious, or
shaheed)

-
The blood of the non-victorious (earthly sense) Abu
Dharr, Hassan, Hussain, bin Zubayr etc etc. Are the ones
that kept the credibility of Islam alive. After it was
converted into a religion and forever co-opted by the
establishment. (This is the era when others would say that
"Islam" was victorious in the world)

-
Leaders of nations today (unless they are first
generation revolutionary) work for the status quo. They are
products of institutions, you can't expect much from them.
Shoaib [Qatar]
Dr. Siddique's response: The khutba, on the Christian
holiday of Easter, was about the end of the era of miracles.
Muhammad, pbuh, brought the message of striving and
struggle, not of waiting for miracles or saviors to descend
from heaven. Here is what the Qur'an says:
"And they say: We will by no means believe in you until you
cause a fountain to gush forth from the earth for us. Or
you should have a garden of palms and grapes in the midst of
which you should cause rivers to flow forth, gushing out.
Or you should cause the heaven to come down upon us in
pieces as you think, or bring Allah and the angels face to
face with us. Or you should have a house of gold, or you
should ascend into heaven, and we will not believe in your
ascending until you bring down to us a book which we may
read. Say: Glory be to my Lord; am I aught but a mortal
Messenger? And nothing prevented people from believing
when the guidance came to them except that they said: What!
has Allah raised up a mortal to be a Messenger? Say: Had
there been in the earth angels walking about as settlers, We
would certainly have sent down to them from the heaven an
angel as a Messenger."
[The Qur'an 17:90-95]
For the real revolutionaries, the sahaba, r.a., see summary
of my khutba of 4.12 above.
Musharraf Admits Secret Deal with US for Drone Attacks on
Islamic People
[CNN interview with the general, published by New Trend
uncut.]
Islamabad, Pakistan (CNN) -- Ex-Pakistani President Pervez
Musharraf acknowledged his government secretly signed off on
U.S. drone strikes, the first time a top past or present
Pakistani official has admitted publicly to such a deal.
Pakistani leaders long have openly challenged the drone
program and insisted they had no part in it. Musharraf's
admission, though, suggests he and others did play some
role, even if they didn't oversee the program or approve
every attack.
In an interview this week in Islamabad, Musharraf insisted
Pakistan's government signed off on strikes "only on a few
occasions, when a target was absolutely isolated and no
chance of collateral damage."
Still, his admission that Pakistani leaders agreed to even a
limited number of strikes runs counter to their repeated
denunciations of a program they long claimed the United
States was operating without their approval. The drone
strikes -- which the nonpartisan public policy group New
American Foundation estimates have killed at least 1,990
people in Pakistan, including hundreds of civilians -- are
unpopular in Pakistan.

Secret drone deal between Pakistan, U.S.

Former Pakistani president's new life

Shoe hurled at former Pakistani president
"Today, the world superpower is having its own way, without
any consent from Pakistan," former Interior Minister Rehman
Malik said last month.
Despite such pronouncements, there's been speculation that
the story might have been different behind the scenes.
In a cable sent in August 2008 and later posted online by
Wikileaks, then-U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan Anne Patterson
mentioned a discussion about drones during a meeting that
also involved Malik and then-Prime Minister Yousuf Raza
Gilani.
"Malik suggested we hold off alleged Predator attacks until
after the Bajaur operation," Patterson wrote. "The PM
brushed aside Rehman's remarks and said, 'I don't care if
they do it as long as they get the right people. We'll
protest in the National Assembly and then ignore it.' "
Unmanned U.S. drones began launching attacks in Pakistan in
2004, by which time Musharraf had been president for five
years after taking power in a bloodless coup.
He said that Pakistani leaders would OK U.S. drone strikes
after discussions involving military and intelligence units
and only if "there was no time for our own ... military to
act."
This happened "only rarely," said Musharraf, who left office
in 2008 and spent years in exile before returning to
Pakistan last month to launch a political comeback. But
sometimes, he said, "you couldn't delay action."
"These ups and downs kept going," he said. "It was a very
fluid situation, a vicious enemy, ... mountains,
inaccessible areas."
Musharraf said that one of those killed by U.S. drones was
Nek Mohammed, a tribal leader accused of harboring al Qaeda
militants in Pakistan's western border region. At the time,
in June 2004, Pakistan intelligence sources said
Obama's latest victims.

Breaking War News
Islamic Raid in Mogadishu: Court Blown up. Al-Shabab takes
Credit.
April 14: A small group of mujahideen penetrated the
defenses of the west-indstalled regime in Mogadishu and blew
up the court house used by the regime to "try" Islamic
prisoners after torture.
At least 30 supporters of the regime were killed. Several of
the attackers were human bombers from al-Shabab. The Islamic
group withdrew from Mogadishu last year after the use of
heavy artillery on the city's population by occupation
forces, non-Muslims, brought in from Uganda, Burundi and
Ethiopia.
Breaking News
Syria: Mujahideen give Allegiance to Dr. Ayman al-Zawahiri:
Assad's air strikes Continue. Damascus besieged
According to the Christisan Science Monitor and the BBC,
Syria's leading mujahideen force, Jabhat al-Nusra has given
oath of allegience formally to Dr, Ayman al-Zawahiri, the
global leader of Al-Qaida after Shaykh Osama.
The US much earlier declared al-Nusra a terrorist
organization. The US strongly suspects that al-Nusra is
being supplied by al-Qaida in Iraq. The US wants to support
the FSA, the "moderate" opposition to Assad but only aid in
the form of small arms has come from Turkey. FSA is quite
worried that al-Nusra has been declared terrorist because
large swathes of Syria are now under under al-Nusra control
and Shar'ia is being implemented.
Western governments are seriously concerned that converts to
Islam from European countries as well as "radicalized"
immigrants from Africa are flocking to Syria to fight Assad
and his elite Alawite forces supported by Iran, Russia and
Hizbullah. These reports say that more than a hundred
European converts to Islam have been killed in the fighting
with Assad's military particularly tank units.
Pakistan:
Islamics Capture Tirah Valley in strategic Khyber region:
Pakistani Counter attack starting Slowly
April 8: After two months of fighting with tribal forces
armed, trained and funded by General Kayani's military, the
Pakistani Taliban captured all of Tirah valley, one of the
most rugged areas in the Pakistani Khyber . Pakistani
military is now counter attacking but the going is slow
owing to the unfriendly terrain.
April 12 and 13: Pak Taliban killed an MQM leader in
Hyderabad and an ANP leader in Frontier. Both parties are
seen as pro-India by the Pak Taliban and have been
supporting actions against the Islamics.
Afghanistan
Fighting Season Begins: 30 NATO troops killed in 2 months.
Karzai troops suffering Heavy Losses. Tragedy of Beautiful
US Diplomat.
Elite NATO troops are coming up against hit-and-run Taliban
fighters. Among the 30 killed so far, 22 are America's best.
[Source: i casualties.]
On April 11, Taliban attacked a heavily armed unit of Afghan
mercenaries trained by the US killing 15 of them in the Nari
area of Kunar province.
On April 6, there was a tragic incident in Zabul province
when a young American diplomat taking books for Afghan
children to be given out at a heavily guarded ceremony being
held by a "governor" appointed by Karzai was attacked by a
martyrdom operator. Five Americans were killed in the
attack, including the beautiful American woman diplomat from
Illinois who had met Mr. Kerry only a few days back.
[Ed. note: It appears that American generals don't tell
their people that NATO is an occupation force in Afghanistan
and is not loved by the poor and the oppressed who support
the Taliban.]
April 3. Taliban blew up a court in Farah province where
Islamic prisoners after being tortured were to be "tried."
34 of the court officials, 6 of Karzai's "army" and 4 of his
police were killed in the attack.
April 1: Even more gruesome, in Kunar, an Afghan boy, killed
a US army sergeant with a KNIFE and escaped. Only Fox TV
reported it in America.
