Pakistan: What is not Being Reported about the attack on Benazir Bhutto

On October 20, Dr. Kaukab Siddique was interviewed on XM Radio, heard across America, by Dr. Wilmer Leon, host of the "On With Leon" show concerning the situation arising in Pakistan owing to the return of Peoples Party leader Ms. Benazir Bhutto. Here are the main points made by Dr. Siddique.

Lull in Iraq War by New Trend's Media Monitor

The U.S. is reporting only 32 U.S. troops killed and 85 wounded in fighting with al-Qaida-in-Iraq during three weeks of October. The impression one gets is that the U.S. military surge has succeeded at least for now.

However New Trend's analysis is quite contrary. Fighting has tapered off because U.S. military forces are not trying to enter large chunks of Iraq held by the Islamic resistance. If the situation had improved for the U.S. military, media coverage would have immediately followed. By contrast U.S. TV media coverage of the Iraq war has GONE DOWN TO ZERO.

However, resistance source are providing extensive reporting on the fighting. The mujahideen are trying to cut down supporters of the U.S. in the north. At the end of Ramadan, an entire network of 15 Kurdish Peshmerga working for the U.S. were tried and executed [beheaded] by al-Qaida.

America's military forces are now mainly involved in using inter-Shia conflict to attack Shi'ite groups trying to get weapons and support directly from Iran. The U.S. a couple of days back carried out an air attack on a Shi'ite group [after being directed by Shi'ite informers] in which 49 Shi'ite fighters as well as 13 civilians [women, children] were killed.

BBC is relatively better than U.S. media in providing visual coverage of the resistance led by al-Qaida. On October 25, BBC showed what happens on the highway passing by Tikrit, the Sunni stronghold of Saddam Shaheed. Within minutes of the BBC coverage start, the U.S. military convoy was hit by a roadside bomb and a sniper shot a U.S. soldier and quickly moved away. [BBC showed the shooting, blood and all.]

Al-Qaida seems to be intact. In view of the Bush-Democrat agreement to continue the war in Iraq [possibly for years], the resistance seems to have withdrawn its martyrdom operators. The war seems to be open ended as New Trend had predicted..

Stand up for your rights!
Jamaat al-Muslimeen urges the Muslims of America to protest the oppression of Muslims in Zionist-controlled America. Outstanding and innocent Muslims have been railroaded on fabricated "evidence" and/or plea bargains by collaborators. None of the convictions stood up to the test of "without a reasonable doubt." These are the most important Islamic prisoners: Thousands have suffered but these are the most prominent. We must stop collaborators working with the State Department from giving the impression that the U.S. is not oppressing Muslims. Get up Muslims of America! There are more than 7 million of us.

Imam Jamil teaches in one of his CDs: Racial unity is not the acceptable criterion in Islam. Allah will not ask whether you are African-American, Pakistani or Egyptian. Did you speak out for justice? That's the issue. Only Imam Jamil had the courage to say this. Why was he able to break the "racial unity" slogan which has divided America's Muslims? The answer is simple: Imam Jamil follows the Sunnah! We must stop limiting our support to the prisoners of our nationality. Our call: Free ALL political prisoners.

Distinguished Imam Narrates U.S. Attack on Home, Career, Honor

October 20, 2007: Imam Warith Deen Umar made a powerful speech in front of the Shoora of Jamaat al-Muslimeen. He began by outlining his work in organizing the Islamic chaplaincy system in New York state which became a model. Under this system, the rights of Muslim inmates were assured.

The flagship of rightwing Zionism, the Wall Street Journal, tried to convey the impression that in some way the Imam is connected to the 9.11 attacks. The young men who attacked the symbols of American power were not American Muslims. By silencing the Imam, the WSJ wanted to smother any rational discussion of the attack.
The Imam recounted how his rights were violated, his home was invaded by the FBI with dogs, his apartment was ransacked, his Qur'an desecrated, his passport and computers were taken away. WHY? Simply because the WSJ had stolen some of the Imam's writings which implied that the causes of the Islamic counterattack [9.11] should be studied. His career was ruined and he was put under house arrest for one year.

Muslims of America have a leader in Imam Umar. His example of perseverance and courage stands out from the darkest days of the Bush administration when those who had helped "bloc" vote Bush into power were busy licking boots. They behaved like Qadianis while the Imam behaved like Maulana Maudoodi.

Imam Siddique Abdullah Hasan was targeted by the authorities following the prison uprising in Lucasville, Ohio. He is on death row. Sis. Amatullah Hasan presented the Shoora of Jamaat al-Muslimeen with a well-documented report on the shameful methods used to convict Imam Hasan. See our next issue for this astonishing presentation.

SABOTAGE FAILS, FREE SPEECH WINS
Despite last minute outside attempt to kill it, "No More Wars for Israel"
Conference Great Success

By Mark Glenn [Organizer of the historic conference]

IRVINE, Calif. October 13. It was not the fact that this reporter was under surveillance at the Spokane International Airport by a man/woman team when heading toward California nor that one of the scheduled speakers, a Roman Catholic priest, was detained for close to 30 minutes as a "risk to aviation safety" by Michael Chertoff's Department of Homeland Security that indicated that trouble was brewing for the upcoming "No More wars for Israel" conference in Southern California.

Rather, it was what took place in the days and weeks immediately preceding the event that portended problems for all those involved with what was to be an expression of the rights to freedom of speech, religion and association.

As far back as four weeks before the scheduled meeting, the hotel contacted one of the conference organizers and told him that persons claiming to be from the Irvine Police Department were calling all hotels in the area, asking if an event entitled "No More Wars for Israel" was scheduled, warning hotel proprietors away from having any involvement in it.

The organizers of the conference, foreseeing this as a likelihood, had booked the event in the name of "Liberty Forum" rather than anything indicating that it was to be a gathering of individuals opposed to the comings and goings of Israel. For months after the conference was announced, details as to the exact location were kept deliberately vague so that the forces opposed to freedom of speech and association would not be given a leg up in shutting it down preemptively.

In the meantime, this reporter was receiving daily emails from Zionist agitators, threatening that it was "only a matter of time" before the location of the event would be learned and pressure brought to bear in shutting it down. Besides this, several speakers whose names had been publicized as being scheduled to appear, as well as Islamic organizations in Southern California, began receiving emails warning them to stay away from the event, characterized by these agitators as a "neo-Nazi" gathering. As soon as the conference was made publicly known, the ADL posted details of it on its website.

Less than 48 hours before the conference was to begin, one of the organizers received a message from the events coordinator at the hotel with a bombshell: the demand of $20,000 within 24 hours or the event would be banned. The contract had no mention of any down payment. An attorney in the area was quickly contacted and given all relevant information. The lawyer informed the organizers that indeed there was no legal case for the hotel to impose such a fee. In the meantime, the hotel began asking questions about what the event was really about and whether or not this reporter (whose name was well known as the host) was involved in it. The attorney then called the coordinator and attempted to smooth out the difficulty, but despite the fact that about $8,000 had been quickly raised, it was insufficient for the demands of the hotel and the event was canceled.

In the meantime, people were pouring into Southern California, expecting to attend the much-publicized event. Since the event had been canceled, the rooms that had been booked had to be paid for up front instead of at the end of the event as previously arranged. This resulted in attendees and speakers being forced to pay for rooms they had already paid for, a minor problem compared to the fact that there was no location to hold the conference.

This reporter woke early on October 13 and began going up and down the street to every hotel in the area to inquire about the availability of conference rooms. In almost every case, there were rooms available suitable for the needs of the event, but when this reporter was forced to give his name, the hotels suddenly became too busy to take on any new business. These locales had obviously been visited by someone from the other side.

Another attempt was made to negotiate something with the original hotel where everyone was booked and staying, but the manager would hear nothing of it. Not even a stack of $100 bills a half-inch think was enough to induce her in allowing the use of just one smaller room for the event. With a blank stare that betrayed no emotion, the answer was the same to every question posed to her: "The event is canceled. . . . The event is canceled. . . . The event is canceled. . . ."

By mid-morning, things were looking bleak. People were pouring in not just from around the country, but from around the world, including Canada and Australia. With the limited funds the organizers had, rooms had to be bought and people were forced to bunk two to a room. It was at that moment that Dr. Hesham Tillawi of Current Issues TV, a seasoned political activist and one of the scheduled speakers, stepped up to the plate and saved the event from a melt-down. In a closed meeting with this reporter and some of the other organizers, his plan was simple-:

" Put 10 people on phones calling all over the city in search of a locale" a park, a library, a church basement, anything that could house people; and
"Revive the sagging morale of those who were dealing with the bitter disappointment of a conference that by this time was 16 hours past due by holding a protest outside the hotel."

Media was contacted, signs were made and then everyone there was briefed on their part of the plan. By 2 p.m. everyone had assembled outside the hotel, and with signs and placards began the victory cry in unison "NO MORE WARS FOR ISRAEL! NO MORE WARS FOR ISRAEL! NO MORE WARS FOR ISRAEL!"

The group of about 60 made its way down to the street corner where (simultaneous to the protest) two live radio programs were taking place via cell phone, Dr. Tillawi's normally scheduled Current Issues radio program featured on the Republic Broadcasting Network and one on Mike River's What Really Happened.

Unmindful of what may happen if police were called for holding a protest without a permit, the group continued making as much noise as possible and with surprising results: honks from passing cars and thumbs-up signals from opened car windows showing support for what they were doing. Dr. Tillawi and this reporter spent the bulk of the radio program interviewing the various people there at the protest, both scheduled speakers and attendees. The mood was electric.

Protesters returned to the hotel to hear that a locale had been found for at least one night of the conference. Although it was close to 4 p.m., which meant a shortened speaking schedule, all boarded cars, shuttles and cabs and made their way over to a Greek Orthodox Church. The session began with a prayer from Fr. Christopher Hunter, one of the scheduled speakers.

Michael Piper opened the proceedings by welcoming everyone. There were about 100 present, close to one-third of the expected turnout had all gone as planned.

Speakers ranged from this reporter to Eileen Fleming, pro-Palestinian activist, Wendy Campbell of MarWen media, Chuck Carlson of "We Hold These Truths," Muslim scholar and publisher of New Trend magazine Dr. Kaukab Siddique. Instead of the fancy Italian dinner that was supposed to be served at the Saturday night banquet, take-out pizzas were ordered. No one complained.

Following the meal, the keynote speech was given by Hesham Tillawi, who arguing like some high priced/high-profile lawyer said the current wars in the Middle East were engineered by and for Israel and not for the ancillary reasons bantered about in discourse these days such as "for freedom"? or "for oil."

One of the more memorable events was a speech by Phil Tourney, survivor of the attack on the USS Liberty who, after receiving a standing ovation, recounted his experiences on the day that Israel attacked the lightly armed American recon ship, followed by a question and answer session.

By the end of the evening, everyone was thoroughly exhausted. The ups and downs of the weekend events had a strong emotional effect on all, and everyone headed back to the hotel. The next day, there was a small gathering at another locale that featured some of the remaining speakers, including the inimitable Dr. Fredrick Toben and rising anti-Zionist Internet writer Patrick Grimm.

One of the themes of the event the Jewish lobby and its stifling of free speech when it comes to the discussion of Israel was proven correct before the conference even took place. The fact that all had to be done in secrecy as if it were in a communist country and then that in the end the hotel canceled was proof positive that there can be no freedom of speech in any country where the Zionist agenda rules.

But there is a growing number of people, in America and throughout the world, who are standing up and allowing themselves to be counted among those who refuse go quietly into the night, who refuse to be silenced and who (in the finest traditions of America) are now beginning to say with one voice "NO MORE WARS FOR ISRAEL!"

Book Review by Hajjah Nabila Bey, M.S. [Philadelphia, PA]
African-American Muslimah Takes on Hirsi Ali's Attack on Islam

Hirsi Ali, Mistreated by men, hates Islam: Her Response shows Inability to See West was Built on Backs of Africans: Islam is the Solution

Infidel by Ayyana Hirsi Ali; 2007. (Free Press; Simon & Shuster , New York , NY.)

My sister warned me about reading Ms. Ali's writings and now, Ms. Ali is beginning to show how shaky her faith has become (Chapter 14, "Leaving God"). I wonder how it happened that I'm reading this book during the month of Ramadan. I began reading it before Ramadan and found it very interesting... the life of a rural, then transient, abused Muslimah whose roots are in Somalia . I have also begun to research this personality who allowed her autobiography to be named a most hideous thing.

As I read about Ms. Ali's frantic security escapades, my faith is confirmed. As she scolds Allah and denies the Creator of her independence, intellect and free will, I am experiencing gratefulness for those qualities that Allah provides. While she belittles her very existence, I confirm the Existence of Allah. I, the descendant of enslaved people, a "Westernized" Muslimah, raised in North America, 'a free person of the city' (Qur'an, 90:2 ), am confirming that Allah is the best Rabb (Lord) and that Islam is the best deen (way of life).

Her story is fluid and well written. It holds the readers interest. I believe that the only flaws are Ms. Ali's anger and inconsistencies in logic. Ms. Ali misses the point as she swings from one extreme to the other. "Thus have We made of you an Ummat justly balanced...for God is to all people most surely full of kindness, Most Merciful" (Qur'an 2:143).

I am not at liberty to repeat some of the things she writes. Please, let it suffice to say that her writing displays a rank hatred for Prophet Muhammad, pbuh, although he suffered abuse and poverty as she did. "They encountered suffering and adversity and were so shaken in spirit that even the Messenger and those of faith cried: "When will come the help of God?" Ah! Verily the help of God is (always) near!"(Qur'an, 2:214). She insists on blaming Allah for the actions of humans and the refusal of humans, male and female, to follow the Guidance.

She negates the "West's" history of racial genocide and abuse of African communities. She fails to mention that the West has been built on the backs of the Africans- from free labor to the raping of resources. She ignores that much of Africa 's present instability continues to be influenced by the West's intrusion and interference in the lives of her people. She even ignores the West's centuries of incivility and the necessary evolution into their present state, which she adores so much. "Many of us in the Third World , wistfully fix our gaze on the material progress of the West, and by a queer twist of Logic assume even this turning away from religion as a cause of their success." (On striving to be a Muslim, Prof. Qayyum; 1983)

Infidel is a good read. It is an opportunity to learn about cultures and lifestyles so different from our own. Ms. Ali is blessed that her Creator does not take her soul while she's in this state. "And if any of you turn back from their faith and die in unbelief, their works will bear no fruit in this life and in the Hereafter; they will be Companions of the Fire and will abide therein." (Qur'an, 2:217). The Creator is so Merciful, that He has given her time to come to her senses before death. Allah may even give her the time needed to right the wrongs that she has inflicted upon a religion and its peoples.

New Book Details Mass Killings and Brutal Mistreatment of Germans at the End of World War Two

By Mark Weber

Germany's defeat in May 1945, and the end of World War II in Europe, did not bring an end to death and suffering for the vanquished German people. Instead the victorious Allies ushered in a horrible new era that, in many ways, was worse than the destruction wrought by war.

In a sobering and courageous new book, After the Reich: The Brutal History of Allied Occupation, British historian Giles MacDonogh details how the ruined and prostrate Reich (including Austria) was systematically raped and robbed, and how many Germans who survived the war were either killed in cold blood or deliberately left to die of disease, cold, malnutrition or starvation.

Many people take the view that, given the wartime misdeeds of the Nazis, some degree of vengeful violence against the defeated Germans was inevitable and perhaps justified. A common response to reports of Allied atrocities is to say that the Germans "deserved what they got." But as MacDonogh establishes, the appalling cruelties inflicted on the totally prostrate German people went far beyond that.

His best estimate is that some three million Germans, military and civilians, died unnecessarily after the official end of hostilities.

A million of these were men who were being held as prisoners of war, most of whom died in Soviet captivity. (Of the 90,000 Germans who surrendered at Stalingrad, for example, only 5,000 ever returned to their homeland.) Less well known is the story of the many thousands of German prisoners who died in American and British captivity, most infamously in horrid holding camps along the Rhine river, with no shelter and very little food. Others, more fortunate, toiled as slave labor in Allied countries, often for years.

Most of the two million German civilians who perished after the end of the war were women, children and elderly -- victims of disease, cold, hunger, suicide, and mass murder.

Apart from the wide-scale rape of millions of German girls and woman in the Soviet occupation zones, perhaps the most shocking outrage recorded by MacDonogh is the slaughter of a quarter of a million Sudeten Germans by their vengeful Czech compatriots. The wretched survivors of this ethnic cleansing were pitched across the border, never to return to their homes. There were similar scenes of death and dispossession in Pomerania, Silesia and East Prussia as the age-old German communities of those provinces were likewise brutally expunged.

We are ceaselessly reminded of the Third Reich's wartime concentration camps. But few Americans are aware that such infamous camps as Dachau, Buchenwald, Sachsenhausen and Auschwitz stayed in business after the end of the war, only now packed with German captives, many of whom perished miserably.

The vengeful plan by US Treasury Secretary Henry Morgenthau to turn defeated Germany into an impoverished "pastoral" country, stripped of modern industry, is recounted by MacDonogh, as well as other genocidal schemes to starve, sterilize or deport the population of what was left of the bombed-out cities.

It wasn't an awakening of humanitarian concern that prompted a change in American and British attitudes toward the defeated Germans. The shift in postwar policy was based on fear of Soviet Russian expansion, and prompted a calculated appeal to the German public to support the new anti-Soviet stance of the US and Britain.

MacDonogh's important book is an antidote to the simplistic but enduring propaganda portrait of World War II as a clash between Good and Evil, and debunks the widely accepted image of benevolent Allied treatment of defeated Germany.

This 615-page volume is much more than a gruesome chronicle of death and human suffering. Enhanced with moving anecdotes, it also provides historical context and perspective. It is probably the best work available in English on this shameful chapter of twentieth century history.
