Dear Muslim: As-Salaamu-Alaikum.

It is our sincere prayer that Allah will strengthen the Faith of the Believers during these trying times and help us to go forth in His Cause with dawah.

We at Masjid Jamaat al-Muslimeen, a humble facility in the heart of the City of Baltimore, located at 4624 York Road, are continuing to develop to serve as a beacon of "light" and "hope" in the inner city. Muslims are not exempt from many of the ills suffered in the inner city, but we have an assurance that the unenlightened people do not have. It is our duty to enlighten them, by Allah's permission.

Give generously for the Cause of Allah and do not cast yourselves into destruction by your own hands.
Be charitable:
Allah loves those who are charitable. (Holy Qur'an:; 2:195)

We are asking your help to continue development of our masjid and community center. We have renovated the upper floor of this 2-storey and basement building. The upper level is the musalla which needs a complete kitchen. One room in the lower level is being prepared as a library and needs shelves for the walls and tiles for the floors. We will begin a Saturday class for children in this room this spring, Insha-Allah.

Our present activities include Thursday evening prayer and dhikr, Friday Jumah at 1:15 pm; Sunday orientation, Islamic studies and Arabic classes. We have a newly elected Imam and an active Shoora Board.

Please make your tax-deductible contributions to Family Extended Educational Tide
and mail to
P.O. Box 39732, Baltimore, MD 21212.

Thank you for your help and may Allah reward you and bless you with a Happy Eid.
