SWEEP IN AFGHANISTAN COULDN'T FIND ANYONE
In conjunction with the attack on
Iraq,
1000 U.S. troops had launched a
sweep in southern Afghanistan. After three days
of searching they have
stopped with no results. Osama bin Laden, Ayman
al-Zawahiri, Mullah Omar are
nowhere to be found.
After the capture of the person said to be
Khalid Muhammad, there was
great hope in U.S. circles that the three would
be captured. The U.S. claimed
that it was only "hours" behind Osama.
A series of new attacks have been launched
by Afghans at U.S. and Karzai
forces during the last one week.
